ducted at Zonal Institute
of Education & Training
(ZIET) , Mumbai during
03rd —05th July 2013.
The workshop was jointly
organized by ZIET and Na-
tional Informatics Centre
(NIC), Government of In-
dia.
The workshop was attend-
ed by 51 participants work-
ing in different Libraries in
and around ZIET Mumbai
region as well as in other
parts of the country. Dur-
ing the workshop, CDs of
the e-Granthalaya Software
were distributed.

Zonal Institute of Education & Training (ZIET)/ KVS is an Autonomous Body under Ministry of HRD, GOI, Training of teachers
and non teaching staff is an integral part of the organisation. Every year, thousands of employees are provided with refresh-
er training programmes.There are over 1000+ KVs in the country, spread in all the states and providing school educa-
tion.During 2008, KVS has decided to use the e-Granthalaya Software for Automation and Networking of Libraries. So far,
about 500+ KVs are using the software successfully and a Union Catalog of these KVs are being provided by NIC at http://
www.eglibnet.gov.in Recently, KVS has released its Policy where it has been mandatory to use the e-Granthalaya Software in
libraries.
