NRA MEMBERSHIP RENEWALSWhile our annual club membership renewals are due you also need to have your NRA membership current as part of the renewal package for each member If you need to renew your NRA membership consider doing it through EFampGA with your dues When we apply for grants through the NRA they consider how many memberships we submit as an organization Last year EFampGA was recognized by the NRA for being the 4th highest recruiting organization in the country Thanks to all of you who have helped us receive this honor
SUPPORT THE JUNIOR MARKSMANSHIP PROGRAM WITH BRASSIf you have been to the range recently you have probably noticed the white buckets with gold labels marked BRASS DONATION BUCKET TO BENEFIT THE JR MARKSMANSHIP PROGRAM ALL BRASS ACCEPTED THANK YOU These are for a new way to help fund the Junior programs by turning in bulk brass for cash The brass is separated and sorted so that it can be sold for the best price Last month we turned in 11945 pounds of scrap brass (rimfire and centerfire including berdan-primed) and received $15528 for it This is a win-win for the club The Junior participants are helping to keep the ranges clean and they are getting funding for their efforts When you are cleaning up after yourself at the range think about throwing whatever you donrsquot want to reload into the donation bucket If you have large amounts of brass in your garage that you want to donate please contact Darrin Eaton (760-630-8339) or Patrick Russ (760-644-2751)

Periodically I receive reports from the duty RSO regarding vio-lations of EFampGA range rules and policy To get a better handle
on the range of violations we are seeing I instituted a new policy using a Range Contact Report The entire list of violations I have developed
is too long to be given justice in the space I have available but I will touch on a few For example firearms are not to be loaded until you are on the firing line and they must be unloaded with empty chambers when anyone is down range It seems patently obvious but none the less it keeps happening
and there is no excuse for it There is no better way to get onersquos card pulled Empty chamber indicators are strongly encouraged
Arguing with a duty RSO will give you an excellent opportunity to explain to the BOD why you are right It is also a great way to lose your range privileges until you have had that conversation
With the exception of sanctioned events there is to be no shooting on the 150 yard range at targets placed closer than 50 yards There are signs there to guide you Do not ignore them There is good reason for the rule and it must be ob-served No handguns are allowed on the 150 yard range and no shoulder fired firearms are allowed on the pistol range
Beginning June 18th we will start new member Safety Walks The first will be for youth and junior members and their parents In following months we will be work-ing with mostly adult new members Our walks will be conducted on the third Thursday of each month typically beginning about 1700 hours The walks may or may not be listed in the bulletin but I will try to have them added The walks are almost certain to interrupt shooting between 1700 and 1800 Please accept my apologies in advance if you are one of the interrupted shooters but these walks are an important introduction to our range rules
Due to an unfortunate situation our first-Aid class had to be cancelled at the last minuteI plan to schedule another training session at the earliest opportunity At this time I will assume that everyone who signed up for the last class will be interested in the next one Donrsquot worry I will be sure to give you all adequate notice
Starting May 21st I will be in charge of sampling numerous French wines and local cuisine It is a rough task but someone has to do it In the meantime Jay Zimmett Asst Chief is going to keep an eye on things Jay is a more than able assistant and always a pleasure to work with

Back in the early 70s my father and I were shooting our SampW 357 mags out in the desert I hit a Kennedy 50 cent piece (face) found it and have kept it since I shoot black powder and had attached it to a flint-lock 3 grain pan primer measure But sadly it went missing 10 or 12 months ago So If you found it out there at the range or if anyone has seen it I sure would like to have it back My father passed away and its one of the few things I had to remember him by No questions asked I would just like to have it back

R a n g e m a s t e R s o u n d o f f

R a n g e m a s t e R s o u n d o f f

R a n g e m a s t e R s o u n d o f f

R a n g e m a s t e R s o u n d o f f

Pedersoli Sharps Rifle in 4570 with Front and Rear sites $1000 Contact Jay coltsixshootergmailcom and I can send pictures

Pedersoli Sharps Rifle in 4570 with Front and Rear sites $1000 Contact Jay coltsixshootergmailcom and I can send pictures
