 TRAVELING

1. Introduction:- Introduce about BEE and English Club:

+ The activities that English Club provide: Indoors and Outdoors

+ Small talk about the benefits when attending English Club brought byBEE.- Introduce guest.- Each participant introduces themselves through a game. !!!

2. Content:- Provide glossary for “Traveling”.

- Rikus’s Presentation on his travel experience.- Qs and As- Play Persuasion game: Participants will be divided into 2 teams, each

team will have 15 minutes to discuss and then have 15 minutes topersuade Rikus to come to different places in Vietnam, supposinghe’s never been in Vietnam. Rikus will decide who wins by chosingwhere to go.

3. Conclusion:

- The benefits of traveling.- Introduce the topic for the following club meeting: Food

We will meet a Vietnamese student who has just come back from Indiaand she wants to share with us her experiences as a foodie. We will bring younot only the opportunity to learn new words related to food and practice yourEnglish, but also a great time to learn how to cook cabab, an Indian dish thatwill be prepared for you to try on our next meeting.

Useful expression

- Off the beaten track (expression) Out of the main tourist area, a place less-visited.

- Peak season (expression) The time of highest demand, the busiest period.- Hit the road (expression) When people hit the road, they leave a place to gosomewhere else.

HOW TO BE PERSUASIVE

- Being stubborn. Convincing yourself that you’re right before convincingothers that they’re wrong.

- Don’t ever compromise your main point- If the facts don't prove your point, make some up- Know what you want from your argument, whether it is simply to haveothers agree with you, or if you have are actually trying to accomplish

something.- Be confident and compelling, leaving the "Uhs" and "Ums" out of yourspeech. Know all the ins and outs of your argument, before youpresent it, so that you will never be left staring at the floor, without aresponse.
