esiccant tablets are an effective way to protect your product from moisture when space

is important. Such tablets are widely used in the diagnostic industry. Sd-Chemie

Performance Packagings tablets come in a variety of shapes and sizes and offer

high moisture adsorbing capacities. Our desiccant tablets

are the compact, light-weight, and durable solution

when packaging space is in question. The rigid

form of the tablets makes automatic insertion

easy.

esiccant canisters are used for high-speed automatic insertion of desiccants in specialized packaging operations

for the pharmaceutical industry. The rigid cylindrical shape is ideal for high speed insertion. All materials comply

with FDA CFR 21 for direct contact with food and drugs.

Also available are Sd-Chemies specialized canisters designed specifically to reduce dust counts on activated

carbon desiccant products. These canisters incorporate a thin, lint free, cellulose fiber disk into the top of their

polypropylene shell. This proprietary process prevents carbon dust particles

from escaping. These dust particles can contaminate highly sensitive products,

a problem previously associated with canister desiccants.

The distinctive shape of the canister makes it easy to differentiate from

pharmaceutical tablets and capsules in the container, thereby preventing

accidental ingestion. The range of canister sizes easily accommodates

most size bottles, and is the most widely accepted desiccant type used

in the pharmaceutical industry.

Packets and sachets meet FDA specifications and are used in many

applications, including pharmaceuticals, medical diagnostics, food,

Continu-Stripproducts have increased productivity within

the pharmaceutical industry by allowing an increasing

number of companies to automate. Sd-Chemie Performance Packaging will work with you to tailor the

Continu-Stripproduct line for compatibility with existing

equipment to assure product quality and enhance proper

separation and insertion capabilities.

Continu-Striphole punch desiccant packets feature a hole

in the seal of each packet, which can be detected easily by

automated insertion machines for more accurate cuts. This prevents

the packet from being cut in the wrong place and eliminates product contamination.

esi Pak packaged clay desiccant is a low-cost, efficient desiccant

which will protect the contents of a properly sealed container until it

is opened. The contents of a sealed container will be in the same condition

as when packaged for shipment or storage.

Desi Pakunit bags exceed the requirements of Mil-D-3464E in actual performance and will

exceed the moisture vapor adsorption of silica gel at government specification levels.

Desi Pakbentonite clay is a naturally occurring mineral as opposed to

chemically synthesized adsorbents. Therefore it is more economical than silica gel or

molecular sieve.

The Desi Pakperformance curve exceeds both military specification, which is the

industry standard, and the silica gel performance curve for these same specifications.

At 20% RH, Desi Pakwill adsorb 50% more moisture than required by

Mil-D 3464E, whereas silica gel will only adsorb 3.5% more moisture than

required by Mil-D-3464E.

Desi Pakmeets Method II packaging standards described in Mil-P-116E, which covers the basic requirement of

military packaging methods of preservation.

This involves packaging an item inside a sealed waterproof and moisture-vapor-proof container with the inclusion of

a desiccant to prevent rust, mildew, or corrosion damage. In Method II packaging, the package is maintained at a safe

humidity below 40% RH during the normal storage period of 18 months to 2 years.

esi Viewbags are composed of one side opaque and one side clear film. They contain a combination of either clay, silica gel, or molecular sieve and blue indicating gel. Upon visual inspection, one is able to quickly ascertain

whether or not the desiccant bag has achieved its moisture vapor capacity, and

whether or not the desiccant bag needs to be replaced. Simply replace the

Desi Viewbag when the blue gel has changed to pink. Desi View

bags are tear resistant and dust and lint free.

in aviation fuel. The detector pads provide clear and

accurate readings for the water content in jet fuel and allow

for quick decisions as to the safety of the fuel.

esi Fridgeis specifically designed to adsorb moisture and odor in refrigerators

and freezers during moving and storage, or while in use. For best results, defrost

and wipe off the excess moisture in the appliance, then simply take the Desi Fridge

bag out of its protective barrier bag and place in the unplugged refrigerator or freezer

and shut the door. Desi Fridgewill adsorb any moisture and odor that will occur

during moving and storage. Once the appliance is installed at its destination and

in use, remove the Desi Fridgebag and discard, or replace with a new

Desi Fridgebag to keep your refrigerator or freezer free of odors.

ontainer Driabsorbs moisture vapor and reduces dew point temperature inside transport

containers. By preventing condensation, Container Drieliminates corrosion, mildew,

peeling labels, and other harmful effects of moisture-related damage during shipping and

storage.

Configured in a continuous strip of six 125 gram

bags of Container Dri II, this product reduces time

and labor during cargo loading, improving efficiency and lowering overall

shipping costs. Each Container Dri II Strip features a waterproof adhesive

peel-off back for easy placement along shipping container walls.

shelf life and ensuring product integrity. Desiccant inserts are completely contained within a plastic shell, therefore

eliminating concerns about customer confusion, mistaken usage, or accidental ingestion.

his desiccant disk is filled with indicating orange gel. It has a round adhesive label which will adhere to drum or pail

lids. Simply peel the cover off of the adhesive label and mount on the lid. Then pull off the foil cover to activate

the disk, and close the drum or pail.

relative humidity within sealed packaging and containers. The indicators

quickly and clearly change from blue to pink as relative humidity increases

to unsafe levels.

s the proven leader in relative humidity detection devices, Sd Chemie cards are designed

for a variety of specialized applications. Where temperature and humidity are factors,

Sd-Chemie cards can provide a solution. Customized cards have been created for many specific

applications including medical uses such as measuring humidity in incubators where changes inRH are of critical importance. Specialized cards are designed to monitor RH levels in the shipping

of musical instruments, such as pianos. From the medical industry to the arts, Sd-Chemies

customized humidity indicator cards are helping people monitor RH and solve humidity problems.

Customized cards can be manufactured in a variety of shapes and sizes including special die-cuts

and configurations. Single spot, die-cut dots with adhesive backing can be attached almost

anywhere to measure a specific RH level. Specially designed ring indicator cards are used in

monitoring RH in air-compressor lines and air filters. Cards can be printed in foreign languages and

can include company name, address, logo, and special colors (except for the humidity indicator strips).

All customized cards can measure RH levels from 8% to 95%. Regardless of the industry or

application, Sd-Chemies customized humidity indicator cards are designed to meet the challenge.

pplications that demand monitoring for maximum humidity require the dependability of Sd-Chemies irreversible

humidity indicator cards. Designed for products that have been exposed for a period of 24 hours or more, these cards

indicate the highest RH attained during the shipping or storing period. A set of orange indicating dots represent set

humidity levels. When RH exceeds a dots level, the dot will bleed into the surrounding white paper and turn

a yellow/orange color. Irreversible humidity indicator cards are an inexpensive and simple way to determine if storage or shipping containers have been exposed to high humidities. Cards are

packaged in a moisture barrier bag with a Desi Pakdesiccant which protects them until they

are used. Sd-Chemie offers three standard irreversible humidity indicator cards. The MX5678

measures maximum humidity from 50% to 90%. Dissolved dots indicate the highe

RH to which the container was exposed to for a prolonged period (24 hours or

more). The MXC56789 features the dot indicators plus a reversible humidity

indicator strip. The 8672942 has a single dot of 50%.

d-Chemie Performance Packaging produces a line of specialized humidity indicat

cards for customer applications that do not require military specifications. This

standard commercial product line meets the same high quality standards as the MIL-Spe

Cards and can be personalized with company name, logo, and special information. They

are attractive, inexpensive, and adaptable to any application where humidity and temperatu are of interest.

The standard commercial cards use the same proven color indication method as MIL-Spec an

custom cards. As the humidity increases the chemically impregnated spots change from a bl

color (DRY) through a lavender, to a pink color (HUMID). As the humidity level decreases

spots change from a pink color (HUMID), through a lavender, to a blue color (DRY).

Personalized commercial cards add to a product/company identification while helping to ensure proper packaging of

sensitive products. Commercial cards are available in a variety of styles and sizes with or without thermometers.

observation windows provide continuous viewing of sealed containers or barrier bags. Observation

windows eliminate costly inspection openings and help ensure safe shipment or storage of goods and

materials. These innovative viewing ports are available in aluminum or brass. Easy to install, observati

windows come in standard and large sizes.

d-Chemie Performance Packaging color change humidity indicator plugs

are the solution to a wide range of military and commercial packaging

requirements. Mounted through a container wall, the Sd-Chemie color

change plug reliably measures relative humidity levels with accuracy to within 5%. Available in a variety of sizes and specifications, these humidity

indicator plugs are designed to be simple, cost-effective, and reliable. They are

adaptable to almost all applications for Method II packaging of MIL-P-116 and MIL-I-26860.

Plugs are available in aluminum or brass. Clear anodizing and zinc plating are standard, but custom

finishes are also available per customer specifications. Sd-Chemie plugs readily detect any change

in RH of a sealed package. A large, clear viewing window allows for easy reading.

Easily installed with hand tools, Sd-Chemie plugs are compatible with equipment and electrical housings

as well as most flexible barriers, including plastic bags and fiber drums. They provide a simple, cost effective

alternative to electrical and mechanical types of humidity indication units.

esiccator plugs combine the dependability of the humidity indicator plug with the utility of a desiccator attachment.

These multi-purpose devices monitor both the humidity within the container atmosphere and the condition of thedesiccant itself. Designed primarily for small containers or sealed instruments, Sd-Chemie desiccator plugs are

available with a variety of desiccants and indicator elements.

They are both dependable with versatile solutions to controlling interior moisture of a small

container. Some types of desiccant indicators are refillable by removing the end cap.

Multiple spot humidity indicator cards are available from 10% to 90% RH. The amount of

desiccant contained in the tube is dependent upon the size. Sd-Chemie support personnel will

help you determine the size of tube that best fits your needs.

umidity indicator plug cards work in conjunction with humidity indicator plugs to deliver easy-to-read RH

monitoring in a variety of container applications. They are available with humidity indicator plugs and are

factory-installed in the plugs prior to shipment. Plug cards use the same color-indication system as other Sd-Chemie

color change indicator cards. Cards change from a blue color (DRY), through lavender, to pink (HUMID) as RH increases. They are reversible as

required by Military Specification MIL-I-8835. Plug cards are available

in the single spot style ranging in percentages of RH from 10 to 90%.

Plug cards are also available in multiple spot configurations where up to

four different percentages of RH can be indicated on the card.
