From the Principal’s Desk… Dear Eisenhower Parents, It’s a proud day for our Eisenhower

School community! Our Eisenhower Bald Eagles Team earned a spectacular $21,141.87 and took home the first place trophy for the city of Crown Point! A record 44 students shaved their heads or were volunteers to benefit St. Baldrick’s mission to eliminate all childhood cancers. We far exceeded our original goal of $15,000. Wow!!! A special thank you goes out to Mrs. Dusseau and Mrs. Paviadakis, who co-sponsored our event, our Team Captain, Elias Paviadakis, and to ALL the parents and students who participated in so many different ways to allow us to surpass our goal. PENNY WARS Our Student Council will be sponsoring a Penny War after Spring Break, so start saving your pennies! “Penny Wars” will run from Monday, April 3rd through Friday, April 7th. The money raised will be used for our Robotics Team as

well as a future Photography Club. A Culligan water bottle with your teacher’s name on it will be outside your classroom door. Here’s how it works---you put your pennies in your own bottle and your dollars and silver coins in another class but NOT your own class bottle. The goal is to end up with a positive total. Again, you only put pennies in your own jar and silver coins and dollars in other classroom jars. The class that raises the most money is not always the winner; it is the class with the largest positive amount. Mrs. Dusseau and the Members of Student Council ��

SCRIP ORDERS SCRIP order forms will go home with the students this week and the next SCRIP order will be due on Tuesday, April 11th at 11:00am. The gift cards will go home on Thursday, April 13th. EISENHOWER “AFTER SCHOOL CHESS CLUB” Develop your child’s intellect through the fun game of chess! This program is open to students in Kindergarten through Fifth Grade and flyers were sent home on Friday. DONKEY BASKETBALL Hanover Central Key Club will be hosting Donkey Basketball (yes, there are real donkeys) on Saturday, March 25th at 6:30pm at Hanover Central High School. CROWN POINT BULLDOG FOOTBALL YOUTH FOOTBALL CAMP Coach Enright and the CPHS Football Coaching staff will be hosting a youth football fundamentals camp for students currently in grades K-6. The camp provides young players an opportunity to learn basic fundamentals of football in a non-contact setting while having a ton of fun! Campers will be grouped by grade level. Players should dress in T-shirts/Sweatshirts – Shorts/Sweatpants and football/baseball shoes may be worn on the turf/gym shoes are more than adequate. CROWN POINT SWIM CLUB TRYOUTS We will be holding swimmer evaluation tryouts on the following days for the Spring/Summer Season. The season starts on Monday, April 10th. Tryouts will be held at the Crown Point High School Pool on Wednesday and Thursday, April 5th and 6th from 5:45pm to 8:00pm. You can tryout either Tuesday or Wednesday. Bring your swimsuit and goggles! Swimmers must be 5 years old and over for the team but can enroll in “learn to swim” if younger.
