Yarn: 1 ball of Scheepjes whirl. I used 786-dark-grape-squish.

Alternatives:

Scheepjes whirl ombre, 1 ball

Scheepjes woolly whirl, 1ball

Scheepjes whirlette, 2 balls (3 balls if you want to make the border in a contrast colour)

Katia cotton-alpacka, 6 balls + 1 ball for the edging

Katia stella, 2 balls

Svarta fåret baby merino, or Svarta fåret baby, 11 balls (9+2)

Crochet hook: 3,5 mm

Dusty diamond is a triangle shaped shawl, crocheted from the bottom to the top. The pattern

is repetetive, therefore I will show the first rows. Then you keep going in the same way until

you get the size you want-

Sioze in centimetres; (you can easily change the size, just crochet more or fewer rows)

Us terminology

Ch= chain

Sc= single crochet

Dc= double crochet

Bpdc= back post double crochet

Fpdc= front post double crochet

4 dctog= 4 dc together

Tr= treble








1. Ch 4, 1 dc in the 4th ch from the hook, turn.

2. Ch 4, 1 dc in the 4th ch from the hook, 1 dc in the next dc, 1 dc in the 3rd ch as shown in

the picture, 2 dc in the outer loop of the same 3 ch, as shown in the picture, turn.








3. Ch 4, 1 dc in the 4th ch from the hook, 1 dc in the next 5 dc, 1 dc in the 3rd ch, 2 dc in the

outer loop of the same 3 ch, as shown before, turn.

4. Ch4, 1 dc in the 4th ch from the hook, ch 2, skip 2 dc, 1 dc in each of the 6 next dc ch 2,

skip 2 dc, 2 dc in the outer loop of the ch 3 at the end. Turn.








5. Ch 4, 1 dc in the 4th ch from the hook, 2 dc, 2 dc in the ch2-space, ch 2, skip 2 dc, 1 dc in

each of the next 2 dc, ch 2, skip 2 dc, 2 dc in the ch2-space, 1 dc in each of the last 2 dc, 2 dc

in the outer loop of the ch 3 as earlier, turn.

6. Ch 4, 1 dc in the 4th ch from the hook, 1 dc in each of the next 6 dc, 2 dc in the ch2-space,

ch 2, skip 2 dc, 2 dc in the ch2-space, 1 dc in each of the next 6 dc, 2 dc in the outer loop of

the ch 3 as earlier, turn.








7. Ch 4, 1 dc in the 4:th ch from the hook, ch 2, skip 2 dc, 1 dc in each of the next 6 dc, ch 2,

skip 2 dc, 2 dc in the ch2-space, ch 2, skip 2 dc, 1 dc in each of the next 6 dc, ch 2, skip 2 dc,

2 dc in the outer loop of the ch 3 as earlier, turn.

8. Ch 4, 1dc in the 4.th ch from the hook. 1 dc in each of the next 2 dc, 2 dc in the ch2-space,

ch 2, skip 2 dc, 1 dc in each of the following 2 dc, ch 2, skip 2 dc, 2 dc in the ch2-space, 1 dc

in the next 2 dc, 2 dc in the ch2-space, ch 2, skip 2 dc, 1 dc in the next 2 dc, ch 2, skip 2 dc,

2dc in the ch2-space, 2 dc, 2 dc in the outer loop of the ch, turn.








9.Ch 4, 1 dc in the 4:th ch from the hook, 1 dc in each of the next 6 dc, 2 dc in the ch2-space,

ch 2, skip 2 dc, 2 dc in the ch2-space 1 dc in each of the next 6 dc, 2 dc in the ch2-space, ch 2,

skip 2 dc, 2 dc in the ch2-space, 1 dc in each of the next 6 dc, 2 dc in the outer loop of the ch

3, turn.

Keep on going in the same way, from the 7th row, until you made totally 28 ½ diamonds,

counting from the bottom to the top, along one side. Stop when you hafe a full triangle as

after row 9.

Now it´s time for the edging-

1. Ch 1, 1 sc in the top of the corner, ch 4, *1 sc in the middle of the ”diamond”, ch 4, 1 sc

through the hole as in the picture, ch 4*, repeat ** until you reach the tip. (1 sc, ch 6, 1 sc),

keep crocheting along the other side as before and end with 1 sc at the top.

2. Ch 6, *4 dctog in the ch4-space, ch 4* repeat ** until you reach the tip (4 dctog, ch 6,

4dctog) in the ch6-space, keep crocheting along the other side as before and end with ch 2

and 1 tr in the sc at the top.








3. Ch 8, 1 sc in the ch2-space, ch 4, *1 sc in the next ch4-space, ch 4*, repeat ** until you

reach the tip, (1 sc, ch 6, 1 sc) in the ch6-space, keep crocheting along the next side and end

with 1 sc in the ch2-space, ch 4, 1 tr in the 4th ch at the top.

4. Ch 4, *(3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in the ch-space, 1dc in the next ch-space*, repeat ** until you

reach the tip, (6 dc, ch 2, 6 dc in the ch 6-space), keep crocheting along the next side and end

with 1 tr in the 4th ch at the top

5. Ch 3,*(4 dc, ch 3, 1 sc in the first of the 3 ch, 4 dc) in the ch2-space, 1 fpdc in the next dc*,

repeat ** until you reach the tip, (1 bpdc in each of the last 5 dc, (2 dc in the ch- space ch 3, 1








sc in the first of the 3 ch 2 dc), 1 bpdc in each of the last 5 dc), keep crocheting as before

along the other side and end with ch 3 and 1 sc at the top.
