Introduction

Cross stitch embroidery is one of my favourite hobbies. I’ve been cross stitching since I was a child but only in the past few years have I started designing my own patterns. I started out using graph paper but soon progressed to using computer software and after that I was hooked. I produced small designs for small projects such as cards and bookmarks for friends and family but soon I found I was designing more patterns than I could stitch! In 1999 I set up the Dunmani Designs website so I could share my patterns with fellow stitchers all over the world. This book includes all the patterns currently available on the Dunmani Designs website (as of April 2004). You can use the book in several ways, by printing the whole thing out and using it as a book, or by browsing the patterns on the computer and printing out the patterns as and when you need them. Each pattern includes a colour picture for reference and full instructions on how to stitch it. Please feel free to experiment with colours and adapt the patterns to your own taste. Happy stitching!
