Due to COVID-19, Feed My Starving Children has suspended all MobilePacks through February 2021. By God's grace, meals will continue to be packed by machine or by FMSC staff at one of the stand-alone packing sites in Minnesota. The Green Bay MobilePack, has set a goal of raising $125,000 so that a half-million meals can be packed and shipped all over the world to those that truly need it. Approximately 1/3 of the funds have been raised to date. The deadline to donate is October 31. Look for upcoming fund raising. Please keep FMSC and starving children in your prayers and consider a gift to FMSC through our church if you are able. Thank you on behalf of children everywhere! LIGHTING OF THE CHRIST CANDLE

*CALL TO WORSHIP (unison) Praise the Lord! Sing God’s praise in the assembly of the faithful, for the Lord takes pleasure in the people. Let the faithful sing for joy. Let us worship God! *PRAYER OF THE DAY Almighty God, whose ways are far beyond our understanding, help us to trust your judgments so that we may do your will by loving you and one another. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen. *HYMN #396………………………….."Brethren, We Have Met to Worship" (1) Brethren, we have met to worship and adore the Lord our God. Will you pray with all your power while we try to preach the word? All is vain unless the Spirit of the holy One comes down. Brethren, pray, and holy manna will be showered all around. (2) Sisters, will you come and help us? Moses’ sister aided him. Will you help the trembling mourners who are struggling hard with sin? Tell them all about the Savior. Tell them that he will be found. Sisters, pray, and holy manna will be showered all around. (3) Is there here a trembling jailer, seeking grace and filled with fears? Is there here a weeping Mary pouring forth a flood of tears? Brethren, join your cries to help them; sisters, let your prayers abound! Pray, O pray, that holy manna will be scattered all around. (4) Let us love our God supremely; let us love each other, too. Let us love and pray for sinners till our God makes all things new. Christ will call us home to heaven; at his table we’ll sit down. Christ will gird himself and serve us with sweet manna all around CALL TO CONFESSION PRAYER OF CONFESSION (unison) Lord God, while we were still slaves to sin, Christ died for our salvation. Yet we still worship the false gods of the world, forgetting that you are Lord. Loving worldly wealth, we have not loved you with our whole heart nor loved our neighbors as ourselves. Trusting worldly strength, we have not trusted your word nor followed the Word-made-flesh. Forgiving by worldly norms, we have not shown mercy to others as you have shown mercy to us. Forgive us yet again, we pray in Christ’s name. Amen.

SILENT PRAYER OF CONFESSION WORDS OF ASSURANCE RESPONSE 48 (recited, remain seated) Rain down; rain down; rain down your love on your people. Rain down; rain down; rain down your love, God of life. PRAYER FOR PEACE (unison, remain seated) Mighty and merciful God, lover of justice and equity, you call us to support the weak, to help those who suffer, and to honor all people. By the power of your Holy Spirit, make us advocates for your justice and instruments of your peace, so that all may be reconciled in your beloved community; through Jesus Christ our Savior. Amen.

    NOURISHING

SPECIAL MUSIC “Christ Be Our Light” – Bernadette Farrell PRAYER OF ILLUMINATION (unison) Holy Spirit, as your word is read and preached, pass among your gathered people, opening minds to increase understanding, opening hearts to bind us together in your love. In Jesus’ name we ask it. Amen. READING ONE………………………………………………………..Exodus 12:1-14 PSALM 149: A RESPONSORIAL SETTING (read responsively) Sing to the Lord a new song; sing God’s praise in the assembly of the faithful! Let Israel celebrate its maker; let Zion’s children rejoice in their king! Let them praise God’s name with dance; let them sing God’s praise with the drum and lyre! Because the Lord is pleased with his people, God will beautify the poor with saving help. Let the faithful celebrate with glory; let them shout for joy on their beds. Let the high praises of God be in their mouths and a double-edged sword in their hands, to get revenge against the nations and punishment on the peoples, binding their rulers in chains and their officials in iron shackles, achieving the justice written against them. That will be an honor for all God’s faithful people. Praise the Lord! READING 2…………………………………………………………...Romans 13:8-14 This is the Word of the Lord Thanks be to God. GOSPEL……………………………………………………………..Matthew 18:15-20 This is the Gospel of the Lord Praise to you, O Christ. SERMON “Good People” Corday Goddard *THE APOSTLES’ CREED *HYMN #377……………………………"I Want to Walk as a Child of the Light"

    (1) I want to walk as a child of the light. I want to follow Jesus. God set the stars to give light to the world. The star of my life is Jesus.

    (R) In him there is no darkness at all. The night and the day are both alike. The Lamb is the light of the city of God. Shine in my heart, Lord Jesus.

    (2) I want to see the brightness of God. I want to look at Jesus. Clear Sun of righteousness, shine on my path, and show me the way to the Father. (R)

    (3) I’m looking for the coming of Christ. I want to be with Jesus. When we have run with patience the race, we shall know the joy of Jesus. (R)

PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE THE LORD’S PRAYER

THE OFFERING (Please remember to place your offering in the basket at the back of the sanctuary) RESPONSE #650 (recited) O beauty ever ancient, O beauty ever new, divine and Holy Presence, my being sings to you, in gratitude, in worship my being sings to you! PRAYER OF DEDICATION SENDING *HYMN #366……………………………."Love Divine, All Loves Excelling" (1) Love divine, all loves excelling, Joy of heaven, to earth come down, fix in us thy humble dwelling; all thy faithful mercies crown. Jesus, thou art all compassion; pure, unbounded love thou art; visit us with thy salvation; enter every trembling heart. (2) Breathe, O breathe, thy loving Spirit into every troubled breast; let us all in thee inherit; let us find the promised rest. Take away the love of sinning; Alpha and Omega be; end of faith, as its beginning, set our hearts at liberty.

    (3) Come, Almighty, to deliver; let us all thy life receive; suddenly return, and never, nevermore thy temples leave. Thee we would be always blessing, serve thee as thy hosts above, pray, and praise thee without ceasing, glory in thy perfect love.

    (4) Finish then thy new creation; pure and spotless let us be; let us see thy great salvation perfectly restored in thee; changed from glory into glory, till in heaven we take our place, till we cast our crowns before thee, lost in wonder, love, and praise.
