HOW TO PLAYThe object of the game is to free all of the taped ducksand clear al l of the colored cells by l ining up three ormore ducks of the same color before time runs out.

After selecting a level, you wil l be shownscore goals and a par time. This alsoappears when the game is paused.

To get the ducks in a row, touch a duck (the cell wil lbecome outl ined in blue), drag it left, right, or down (avalid move wil l become outl ined in pink), and release it.The dragged duck wil l move to the new cell ; the duck itdisplaces wil l fly to the top of the board and be joined byone or more ducks. Any ducks above empty cells wil ldrift down. Note that you can’t drag a duck that is taped, nor can you drag a duck into a cell with a taped duck, ora block. Also, ducks cannot be dragged up.

Additional ducks are added to the board in regularintervals.

Page 8: Ducks In A Row Manual

When three or more ducks of the same colorl ine up, any taped duck wil l have a strip of tapetorn off, and all others wil l fly off, creating gapsthat higher ducks can fal l into.

Some cells are colored. When a duck the samecolor of a cell is l ined up, the cell wil l becomecolorless. Even if the colors don’t match, theduck wil l sti l l leave the board, although the cellwil l remain colored.

Sometimes, it may be necessary to call additional ducks. The Call Duck button on the bottom of the screen wil l dothis.

The game can be paused with Android's back button. I twil l also pause when another app is brought to the fore,or when the home bitton is pressed.

The level is lost if al l cel ls in the top row are fi l led, or iftime runs out.

When all of the tape is removed and all of the coloredcells are cleared, the level is won, and every empty cellearns bonus points. The points earned in the level areconverted to a final score based on the time needed toclear the board; quicker than the par time increases thefinal score, while longer than the par time results in asmaller final score.

Your play is ranked from one to five stars based on thefinal score.

Beating a level unlocks the next level for play. Can youbeat al l 31 4 levels?

SCORING

Every duck removed is worth 1 0 points. Removing tapeor clearing colored cells earns 25 points, and increasesthe point multipl ier, up to 5x. The multipl ier lasts for fiveseconds, and resets every time ducks are removed.

Finishing a level gets a bonus of 50 points for everyempty cell .

ONSLAUGHT MODEOnslaught is a special endless game without tape orcolored cells where the goal is to clear ducks faster thanthey can fi l l the board. As lines are made and ducks flyaway, the interval between additonal ducks slowlydecreases.

In Onslaught, every duck removed is worth 1 0 points, andincreases the multipl ier, which lasts for two seconds.

TIPS

Success, especial ly in later levels, requires the abil ity toknow when you can take extra moves to set up a line, and when to get as many lines as quickly as possible.

Normally, the call duck button won’t be needed; only useit when extra ducks are necessary, l ike to reach tapedducks or colored cells higher on the board. Rememberthe 50 point bonus per empty cell after finishing the level;too many extra ducks could cost you a star.

While it may be tempting to run out the clock and keepclearing l ines to boost your score, remember that yourfinal score is adjusted based on completion time; thequicker you are, the higher the adjustment.

SECRET CODESSince you actual ly read this, I ’ l l tel l you about the secretcodes.

On the title screen, as the ducks swim across the screen, tap them in a certain order to activate.

As ducks are entered, they appear under the swimmingducks. The last five ducks entered constitute the code, and as additional ducks are entered, the earl iest ones areremoved.

Are more codes out there? Maybe.

Where are they hiding? That would be tel l ing.
