The Certification Exam will take place at the end of the third day of training. It contains 75 questions and the necessary score to pass is minimum 50. The time allocated to finalize the exam is 60 minutes.

Learning experience
Pre-courseThis part of the learning experience is meant to ensure a smooth transition to the face to face training. For a successful learning experience, it is highly recommended to take the following steps:
Online Community – introduce yourself in a dedicated online group and meet the other participants in the training course;Guidance and schedule – analyze a document presenting guidelines on how to maximize your learning experience;Pre-course evaluation – fill in a need analysis, take a short quiz to establish the current level of knowledge and share your expectations. As part of this self-evaluation, you can establish personal learning objectives for this training; Video resources – watch the webinars “Understanding KPIs”, “KPI selection techniques”, “Data gathering” and “Data visualization” to get familiar to Performance Measurement as this is the starting point of the Performance Improvement training course;Prerequisite reading – read several materials in advance, in order to get an overview on the discipline and to gain a more holistic view upon the subject. This reading includes definitions, terminology and history related to Performance Improvement;Assignment– reflect on the Performance Improvement challenges faced in different scenarios and come up with 3 actions that could be taken to improve performance.
Core courseDuring the three days of face to face training, the course is designed to facilitate experiential learning and ensure a high level of interactivity. Exercises used to enhance the development of competencies range from simple matching of concepts to extensive analyses of case studies. The learning experience consists of:
Applying concepts in practical exercises;Analyzing case studies and identifying solutions;Using templates to effectively work with performance improvement tools;Sharing experiences and best practices;Creating a network of performance improvement professionals;Evaluating the knowledge gained, through short quizzes to support the final test.
After-courseThe learning process does is not finalized when the face to face training course ends. In order to continue the learning process, we encourage you to take the following steps:
Action plan – present how you will apply in practice what you have learnt during the course;Key Concepts Presentation – create a PPT presentation in order to enhance knowledge transfer to colleagues and evaluate how much you have retained from the course;Forum discussions – be active and continue communicating with other participants and learn from one another;Personal research – Learn more about each of the 9 scenarios discussed during the training course thus gaining further insights into how to apply the 6 Performance Improvement pillars.

He specialized in organizational performance measurement and management capabilities assessment using internally researched and developed performance management maturity model frameworks.As an educator, Adrian has facilitated tens of training courses and advisory programs on performance management subject matters in multiple industry settings ranging from oil & gas industry, utilities and healthcare to airline industry.As a consultant, he holds valuable experience both in Performance Management, and Project Management. Mihai Toma is the Head of Professional Practice MENA at The KPI Institute. His research activity in the Performance Management field has resulted in the documentation and
revision of over 1000 Key Performance Indicators.Some of Mihai’s most significant research programs have resulted in the development of several publications such as “The KPI Compendium” and the “Top 25 KPIs in 2011-2012” Report Series.Mihai gained a solid background in implementing performance management systems as he facilitated The KPI Institute’s establishment with strategic direction and with cascading KPIs from organizational level to individual level.Mihai has been actively involved in the implementation and design of KPI operational dashboards and functional performance scorecards. Registration cancellation procedure
Any withdrawals have to be announced at least two weeks before the beginning of the course, through fax or e-mail. In this situation, the attendance fee will be refunded, less $400 retained for administrative expenditure.
The attendance fee will not be refunded if the withdrawal from the course takes place less than 2 weeks before its start date. If you find yourself in the impossibility to attend the course after the registration process is already completed you may delegate another person to attend the course in your place without any further fees charged. If you have confirmed and made the attendance fee payment but you didn’t attend the course, the course attendance fee will not be refunded.
If you attend the course only partially (one day or a limited number of sessions), you will not benefit from any attendance fee reduction or refund.
