Dual Enrollment Course Testing & Prerequisites Guidelines Students taking math, physics, SolidWorks or English courses must pass college placement tests to register. Dual Enrollment Course Placement Test Required Score Required How to Submit Scores ENG101 Accuplacer: WritePlacer 5 or higher Submit a copy of your test results with our registration form. 1 MAT142, PHY101 Accuplacer: Elementary Algebra 70 or higher 1 MAT151 Accuplacer: College Level Math 32 or higher 1 MAT187, MAT206 Accuplacer: College Level Math 54 or higher MAT212, MAT220, MAT221 Accuplacer: College Level Math 60 or higher 1 If junior or senior, may be eligible for MM2. MM2 is an alternative measure for placing students in MAT142, MAT151 & MAT187. If placement score is below required score, submit placement test score with HS transcripts showing unweighted GPA to the Dual Enrollment Office before registering. This is subject to change; check with the GCC Dual Enrollment office if this option is available for fall. For other academic and some CTE courses, see below. Most CTE courses do not require testing. If your scores are contained on your high school transcripts, submit your transcripts with your registration form. If you have not taken the PSAT, SAT, ACT, or AzMERIT make arrangements with your high school counselor or college representative to complete a college placement test. 2 For Dual Enrollment, World Languages 102, 201 & 202 levels do not require previous course for prerequisite but when transferring to the university, the accepting university may require 16 World Languages credits for graduation. For prerequisite course, students must earn a grade of “C” or better, see below.
