Millionaire Fieldtrip By Green with Envy

AR Millionaire's, students that have read 1,000,000 words, are being treated to another one of the AR fieldtrips to Barnes&Noble in Mcallen, Tx next week. Inhindsight, I should have read those million words and tested more instead of complaining.

Have a safe and fun fieldtrip to one of the best and most well known bookstore chains, my fellow students. I will be here reading, pra- ctice for next year. Bring Me back something? Not a book, but a coffee? Just kidding.

  • OUTRAGE!

    By Gladys &

    I think it is discussing

    because the walls have

    germs. ~ 6th grader

    That is so dumb.

    Thats nasty. There

    are many germs on the

    wall.

Yes ladies, accord-ing to the sixth graders we interviewed what you are doing is nasty

Business. The only buisness you should be doing in the re-stroom is counting up number two. If you

think we are being gross talking about doing dodo in the toi-let imagine what you are doing. Do you know on average only 20% of kids wash their hands after going to the restroom? Think about that next time you kiss the mirror or walls.

I LOVE my ID. Article coming soon next issue.

    New Guy By Las Nenas

Wow! There is a new guy on campus. Have you seen the new seventh grad-er? He is so cute. He just transferred from Ann Rich-ards. Not that we are stalk-ing him or anything, but we heard. Maybe we can inter-view him about what it is like to change schools in the middle of the year. We will keep you posted. There is no doubt that he will not have trouble mak-ing friends here at DTMS because it is full of friendlyawesome students, like us.

  • Community Service Library Aide Punishment?

Jose Mora, 6th grade, lent a book he checked out at the DTMS library to a friend and it was returned full of graffiti. He was sentenced to community service, helping out at the library right after finishing his lunch.

Sometimes he eats and others he does not. Still we have to wonder what kind of punishment is it if he would rather be at the library anyway? It is a great idea

to have students pay for their mismanagement of school property with community ser-vice, but sometimes it backfires when they end up loving their job like Jose does. Let this be a lesson to all of you. Do not lend out your book or write on school property.

  • Sweet Hearts! By Sweet Tart Thursday, February 14, 2013 was full of love, candy, teddy bears, flowers and heart shaped balloons. The day of love and friendship, Valentines Day, was spent with students of all grades here at DTMS ex-changing love tokens. Didnt have time to go out and by your sweet heart a gift? Well, the DTMS Student Council remedied that for us. They sold button roses made of chocolate kisses for a$1 and the money raised goes toward the 8th grade prom. The Valentines Dance on Friday, February 15th was also sponsored by the DTMS Student Council. The price to get in was $3. Think that is a little much for a dance? Well, you not only gained en-trance to the dance, but you got to wear whatever you wanted, within the dress code, if you purchased it with a blue bracelet. Ac-cording to Student Council Officials 1/3 of the dance profits will be donated to the Pennies for Patients fundraiser which raises money for cancer research at St. Judes Childrens Hospital.

A special shout out to Mrs. Perez, spon-sor, who is doing a great job providing many fundraising opportunities for the DTMS Student Council. Good job, ladies and gentlemen.

  • The Ugly Truth By Ms. Swag

Red, black, and gray are the ugli-

est colors there can be. Why not

    Pink? Blue? Bright Colors, pretty

colors, that is what we need here at

DTMS., a little bit of swag.

Teachers get to pay ten dollars to

wear jeans for fundraisers and why

not us? We want to look unique.

We want to show off our shirts. Not

everyone likes black, red, or gray.

    We have the right, amendment

number on the right to free speech or

    expression! Consistently treated un-

justly, we should be able to decide

whether or not to wear uniforms.

    Dance!! Dance!! By Neyda Villarreal

    It's free dress everyone come

    however you like!!

Do we actually take some time to

choose what to wear or do we just

get whatever comes out first of the

closet. To be honest some of us just

get whatever comes out first because

    we have some fashion problems.

Just because it's a school dance it

doesnt mean you cant come with

    the best looks.

Our past Valentines dance was a

blast! Many of us had tons of fun. Like always, there were some party poppers in the bleachers, but without them our dance would not have been as fun, our audiance. Based on our appearance we looked pretty good.

Many of the girls did their hair, put

    on makeup, and dressed nicely.

When during the week they did not look that well. Even the quiet girls, wow, they looked good. Now to start with the guys, they

actually look nice. The matching up

as a group all wearing pink. Awe-

some idea! Who would of known

    that group matching looked good.

Not to forget about the student coun-

cil kids, they looked amazing too.

They also did a pretty good job with

the crowning the Special Ed kids.

Nice ending. Lets see who falls in

the good list and the not so good list

    at our next dance.

    We are having a

    great time dancing!

According to an article published on the Reality Nation web page by Branden Barker in October of 2012, Honey Boo Boo is so popular she is even on South Park. For those of you living under a rock for the past year and do not know who Honey Boo Boo is I will tell you. She is a crazy eight-year-old self-admitted redneck pageant queen with a sassy attitude and family to match. Alana, her real name, first appeared on Toddlers & Tiaras on TLC as one of many toddler pageant queens run a muck addicted to Coca-Cola and pixy sticks. Her inaudible redneck language, heavy southern accent, and wise cracks were such a big hit that they gave her and her like minded/mannered family their own show on TLC. It is very

    funny. Check out some of

her clips on YouTube.com and on TLC. You will

    not regret it.

This film is filled with tons of

    action and thrilling suspense.

    Although this film could have

used a little less violence and

guns, I would still love to see this

movie again and again. Its ac-

    tion, a romance, and courageous

heroes will leave you inspired. I

    would recommend this movie to

    people who love action, explo-

sions, fighting, and an evil ruth-

less man with no mercy. I give

this movie 4 out of 5 stars.

Hes so fluffy! I am sure you have all seen the animated film Despicable Me staring Steve Corell as the hei-nous lovable villain Gru, but see it again! Theres a part TWO com-ing out soon were the minions get abducted and youll want a re-fresher on part one. So, here it is. Despicable Me directed by Chris Renaud is rated PG and fun for all ages.Gru is an evil villain that wants to steal valuable things of the world and to be the #1 bad guy. He has a nemesis named Vec-tor and he is a Nerd 100% who wants to do the same things, steal. The only way to get Grus plan going is to adopt three girls, Mar-go, Edith, and Agnes who sellGirl Scout Cookies door to door. Even though the movie is PG, I think teens and children should see this movie.

I am out ofspace, so this is the end. Until next time.

Set in Los Angles, 1949, gangster king, Mickey Cohen (Sean Penn) is the man who runs the city and always gets what he wants, never loses. Until a LAPD ser-geant, John OMara (Josh Brolin) decides that he has had enough. Deciding to take matters into his own hands, he forms a group of vigilantes called the Gang-ster Squad to take on Mick-ey Cohen and his gang. With the help of his well-minded and pregnant wife, Connie (Mireille Enos), O'Mara selects fellow officers for his squad. OMara is later joined by hard-headed detective Coleman Harris (Anthony Mackie), wire-tapper and sneaky, Conway Keeler (Giovanni Ribisi), and legendary gangster-killer Max Kennard (Robert Patrick). Kennard's partner, Navidad Ramirez (Michael Pea), ends up stalking the squad and they unwill-ingly permit him to join. Sgt. Jerry Wooters (Ryan Gosling), O'Mara's close friend on the force turns down the offer, as he is not looking for any troubleyet. When a close friend of Jerry Wooters ends up killed by one of Mickey Cohens followers, he de-cides to quit the force and tag along with OMara, becoming a member of the Gangster Squad. Wooters then begins having a secret romantic relationship with Mickey Cohens gorgeous and innocent girlfriend, Grace Faraday (Emma Stone), who just wants a normal life again and a new Moveis to watch!
