Mrs. Raymond’s Science Corner During the month of November our 2 year olds will be looking at many things with magnifying glasses, including bones, rocks, and pine cones. Our three year old classes will be discovering what fun magnets can be – both when they attract and when they repel. They will also be “fishing” with magnets and going on a treasure hunt with magnets. Our Pre-K classes will be painting to music and discovering colors made with natural dyes. They will also be learning about a way to put out grease fires in the kitchen. Kindergarten will be looking at forces, energy and momentum. They will conduct an interesting experiment with pop rocks and they will begin to explore polymers via a ball and an alligator.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving! (See our photos on the next page!)

We practiced keeping our balance & walking around on Monster Mash stilts.

We sang Raffi's Spider on the Floor song as spiders crawled up different parts of our body.

And of course.... We crawled, slithered & slid to Purple People Eater Limbo!

And we combined many smelly, sticky, slimy ingredients with magic dance moves to make Halloween brew.

Mrs. Blazek’s Featured Student Two-Year-Old Class Tues/Thurs James is a sweet boy with a kind smile in Mrs. Blazek’s class. He loves to paint and work on puzzles. His favorite thing to do at school is play in the kitchen and make sandwiches with the play food. He says his favorite color is green and he has a pet dog at home named Jax. We love having James in our class!

Mrs. Preslar’s Featured Student Two-Year-Old Class Monday-Friday Rebecca is a busy 3 year old in our class. Her birthday was October 26. She is going to have a Dora Party with her friends and family this weekend. She lives at home with her Mom and Dad. Her favorite colors are red, orange, pink or in other words she likes them all. At school she likes to play with the toys, trains and dress up. She also likes to work puzzles here and at home with her Dad. She told me her Mom cooks good cookies and Momma works in an office and Dad works in his office. They both drive a blue car. She has a good time at school playing with all of her friends.

Mrs. di Donato’s Featured Student Two-Year-Old Class Mon/Wed/Fri Ciely is a great example of the many Bible verses that tell us to be strong and courageous. She's athletic and graceful and isn't afraid of too many things. She loves to play outside and always has lots of energy. She's also quite social and enjoys playing with her friends. Indoors, she takes good care of our babies and is always busy. She's a talented artist and really likes to paint. She's partial to pink and purple. One reason Ciely stays so healthy and strong is her diet. Her favorite food is beans, and she gobbles down the yummy kale that she often brings in her lunch, as well as lots of other fruits and vegetables. Ciely's sister Sarys comes to Pathways, too. She's in Ms. Goff's class. We're all blessed by Ciely's sense of humor, funny faces, and boldness. She keeps us smiling!

Mrs. Reynold’s Featured Student Two-Year-Old Class Tues/Thurs “My name is Emma. I am three years old (showing four fingers). My mommy’s name is Kristin and during the day she makes coffee. My daddy’s name is a boy and works at a fire station. My favorite colors are yellow and blue. My favorite food to eat is strawberries. My favorite not to eat is hamburgers. My friends are right there (pointing to our classroom friends). “Good Night Moon” is my favorite song. I have no brothers, we are two sisters, I’m a sister and Sadie is a sister. I love playing outside. What I like the best about my mommy and daddy is when we eat strawberries with cupcakes together. I want to be Emma when I grow up.” We are thrilled to have your beautiful smiles in our class this year!

Mrs. Driska’s Featured Student Three-Year-Old Class Monday-Friday Grace is a sweet girl in our class who comes to school wearing a matching smile just like her sister Elle! She tells me she is three years old and her birthday was on the fifteen or maybe six. She lives at home with her dad, mom and two sisters and a dog named Pipey. Pipey barks at Bella all the time. Her mom goes to work to just work and her dad does the lawnmower and blows the grass and washes his hands at home. Her big sister Shelby, does not go to work, she only colors her homework. Grace’s favorite food is the pizza that Debbie makes and she likes to swim at the beach. For Halloween she plans to dress up as Ariel and her twin sister will be Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz! Grace plans to eat lots of food and then she will get bigger and bigger and then she will work like Mrs. Driska! Her job will be to take care of the lights! We all love our good friend Grace!

Mrs. Bartek’s Featured Student Three-Year-Old Class Monday-Friday Bella is a very sweet 3-yr-old in Mrs. Bartek’s class. Bella is so happy and full of excitement everyday when she comes to preschool. Bella loves being with her friends and says that she likes to play with everything in the classroom. Her favorite color is “just pink”. She likes to eat the spaghetti that mommy makes - but she doesn’t have some now - and drink chocolate milk from the fridge. Bella lives at home with mom, dad, and brother Jett. While at home, she likes to watch the “Barbie” movie and play with her baby dolls and she has a bunch. When mommy drops Bella off at school, she says that she goes to work to work and then daddy picks her up from school. He works like mommy does. When Bella grows up she says she wants to be the Tooth Fairy so she can turn into an apple. Mrs. Bartek and Bella’s friends are very blessed to have her in the class. One of her sisters is in our class and her name is Grace. Her mom’s name is Olivia and she lives in a castle. Her mom goes to Costco and she buys five little pumpkins. When Elle grows up she will be bigger and then she will go on a play date with Hank! We love our friend Elle and her great imagination!
