Do you not hear them?Come away from your overcrowded cityTo a place of eaglesAnd perhaps you will hear.Be still this once; Hold the yammeringof your jackhammer tongue.Take your stainless steel handsFrom the ears of your heartAnd listen.Or have you forgotten how?They are there yetThrough these hundred centuriesAnd all your metal thunderHas not silenced them.The wind is messenger,Heed the whispering spirit.Now….the drums still talk,From the grizzly bear hills,Across the antelope plains,In veins of your blood:The heartbeatOf the murdered Earth.
