Morton Policy

• Do not attempt to disarm, engage or pursue the perpetrator.
• Contact the police immediately after the perpetrator has left the premisesperpetrator has left the premises.
E-Mail Alert
All Morton Team Members:
If you are not aware, Kimberly Pharmacy was robbed by gunpoint last Friday around 5:45 PM. The police have a strong lead, but, no arrest has yet been made. Morton p g , , y
Pharmacy last experienced a robbery in 1987. The following points are critical to remember in the unlikely event of a robbery:
Comply with the perpetrators requests (drugs and cash can be replaced; you can’t).
Avoid direct eye contact with the perpetrator (eye contact can be viewed as a sign of aggression).
Do not attempt to disarm, engage or pursue the perpetrator (this is an unacceptable risk).
Contact the police immediately after the perpetrator has left the premises (I emphasize “left the premises”).
In addition, attempt to remember as many details as possible e.g. personal appearance, behaviors, vehicle, direction or travel, etc. We are working to acquire a training
program on robbery and will make it available to all team-members once received.
