Happy Holidays!!!! Tis the season to be jolly right? Let’s choose to be happy and positive EVERYDAY! The holidays can bring about the “blues” for one reason or another so we encourage you to get involved in the various activities throughout the month. Come on down and join us in the lobby or community room for a cup of coffee and some conversation…we’d love to see you!
The New Year is upon us, 2020 here we come woohoo! I hope you are as excited as I am to see what the new year has instore for us. Wipe the slate clean and start fresh with new goals and ideas. You might not have finished this year’s goals but there’s always next year. We wish you peace and prosperity in the new year!
A few reminders: 1.Please take all bulk trash out to the dumpster and don’t leave it in the trash room. 2. Make sure all food is in a bag before you put it down the trash chute.3. Be mindful of your neighbors as you entertain for the holiday season.4. All cars should have a Sailboat Bend sticker or a temporary parking pass in the car to be parked in the lot.

SPINACH AND RAVIOLI LASAGNAINGREDIENTS1 bag (6 oz) fresh baby spinach leaves, chopped 1/3 cup refrigerated basil pesto1 jar (15 oz) Alfredo pasta sauce¼ cup vegetable or chicken broth 1 package (25 oz) frozen cheese-filled ravioli (do not thaw)1 cup shredded Italian cheese blend (4 oz)Chopped fresh basil leaves, if desiredPaprika, if desired
DIRECTIONSHeat oven to 375°F. Spray 11x7-inch (2-quart) glass baking dish with cooking spray. In medium bowl, toss spinach and pesto. In another bowl, mix Alfredo sauce and broth. Spoon one-third of sauce mixture (about 1/2 cup) into baking dish. Top with half of spinach mixture. Arrange half of ravioli in single layer over spinach mixture. Repeat layers. Top with remaining sauce mixture. Bake uncovered 30 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake 5 minutes longer or until bubbly. Garnish with basil and paprika.

Attention Townhouse Resident(s): As we are approaching the holidays and the season of shopping and giving, please be mindful of community rules. Break down all boxes before placing them in your garbage toter. There will be a charge of $150 for any resident that allows there garbage to be overfilled. Waste Management as well as Northwest Gardens management will be taking pictures and assessing the fees. If you have too much garbage, please walk it over to the midrise building and place it in the large dumpsters as long as it is not overfilled.

Ingredients• 1 large bag of ice, 5 cups 100% cranberry juice* — 40 ounces, NOT cranberry juice cocktail, 2 bottles very dry sparkling wine — (750 ml bottles) , such as champagne, cava, or Prosecco (I used a brut Prosecco), 2 cups apple cider• 1 1/2 cups diet ginger ale — (12 ounces) (from 1 can or poured from a liter bottle)• 1 1/2 cups dark rum or brandy — (12 ounces), 2 oranges — thinly sliced into rounds• 1 cup fresh cranberries
Instructions• Make sure all of the ingredients are well chilled. Fill a large punch bowl with ice. Top with the cranberry juice, sparkling wine, apple cider, ginger ale, and rum. Stir gently to combine. Top with the orange slices and fresh cranberries. Enjoy!
