Resistance and Inductance

Q3D does two inductance calculations:

DC inductance

• No skin effect—3D volume currents

• Magnetic fields do not disturb current flow; DC conduction solver can be used

AC inductance

• Well developed skin effect—2D surface currents

• Magnetic fields strongly affect current flow; must solve for AC current distribution
