The DRAKON family of 4x4 armoured vehicles are well protected, highly manoeuvrable and versatile. Suitable for multiple roles in today’s rapidly changing urban and battlefi eld environment, the DRAKON can provide the backbone of a complete multirole fl eet with common logistic support.

Designed, constructed and assembled using the latest technology to provide up to date standards of superior protection and comfort for the crew.

Thanks to its modular design, high mobility and excellent cross country performance, the DRAKON is ready for“Any Mission, Anytime, Anywhere”.

High mobility and Excellent survivabilityAny mission, Anywhere - thanks to its powerful V8 Twin turbo charged 356PS engine which gives high power to weight ratio. The DRAKON has a maximum 120 km/h speed on paved roads and can navigate in any terrain or climate condition.

Proven suspension, run fl at tyres, central infl ation system, reliable transmission and lockable transfer box are just few of the key features that give DRAKON its high mobility and excellent cross country performance.

The body structure is designed specifi cally to have optimal angles of armoured plate protection, ensuring maximum effectiveness against kinetic and mine blast threats.

ReliabilityBased on Ford F550 super heavy duty truck, all the mechanical components of the DRAKON are time proven and have a world wide service network

To further enhance reliability, all of the DRAKON’s vital mechanical components have been further strengthened to military standards, with some of the components being fully replaced with high end military equivalents in order to ensure reliability, long service life .and perfect weight distribution.

Use of high end components increases intervals between routine maintenance and cost of ownership.

All the vital components of the vehicle are highly protected from any type of external threats but still easily accessible for service personnel.

CrewDepending on the version, the DRAKON carries between 7-9 crew members. All the details in the interior of the DRAKON are focused on providing the crew with the maximum comfort and protection possible. “Travel Easy – Fight Hard”

WORLD CLASS PROTECTION

Everything from the materials used to the structure of the vehicle has been specially designed to provide the crew of DRAKON with world class protection.

Against Kinetic ThreatsUsing patented armouring materials, the monocoque body structure and optimised angles of armoured plates enable the DRAKON to withstand direct hits of 7.62X39 AP rounds (or more) which correspond to NATO Stanag 4569 LEVEL 2 protection.

Against Mine Blast ThreatsOne of the main design goals while developing the DRAKON was to keep the crew safe from various explosive threats including IEDs. Using special materials, together with a hull sandwich construction, use of Dynema and specially designed seats to absorb the effect of mines, the DRAKON achieves NATO Stanag 4569 LEVEL 2A protection against mine blast threats.

ArmamentAlthough available as a passive APC for internal security and transport of personnel in safety during Urban Confl ict, the modular design and high stability make the DRAKON an ideal platform for a large variety of weapons. The DRAKON breathes fi re with versions armed with an open turret 12,7mm machine gun, open turret 7,62mm 6 barrelled Minigun or a Remotely Controlled Weapon Station with twinned 12.7mm + 7.62mm machine guns.

Armaments can be further fully custom tailored including a variant with 40 mm automatic grenade launcher, ATGM or SAM platform etc

Power PlantThe DRAKON is fi tted with a twin turbo charged FORD V8 engine developing 356PS and 680nm of torque which can be serviced at any FORD world-wide service centre.

Twinned with its world renowned transmission, it provides the DRAKON with high mobility and excellent reliability.

The engine and all vital components are fully protected against threats without sacrifi cing cooling effi ciency or the reliability of the vehicle.

TyresDRAKON is equipped with a run fl at tyre system as standard enabling the vehicle to cover 50km with damaged wheels at speeds up to 50 km/h.

Optionally, the vehicle can be fi tted with a Central Tyre Infl ation System, providing the vehicle with further enhanced survivability and improved traction over sand and snow.
