You can tell by Gohan's reaction that he was able to detect Kosho's ki when he got up. He just couldn't pin point exactly where Kosho was because his ki was so great, so emence that it felt as if he was everywhere at once.

there have always been perfect/imperfect forms of the ssj transformations. Take for example, the Super SSJ (cell saga) where vegetal thought he ascended to ssj2 but it was really just another bump in ssj1.

It can be realistic, these guys are Space Pirates From a ultimate universe that is linear to ours like Trunks for example, KOSHO sorta resemble Vegeta just look at his hair, like a older Balder Version. The only plot hole is he is using KI that can't be detected.

Ah I see, makes sense. Looking at it logically though I suppose its the same, basically Enhanced SSJ4, but not exactly a whole new form. Meaning Gohan still has a bghting chance , though he may have to dip into his killer instinct, which I think is what Kosho actually wants.

+speedfreak Daniel SSJ5 is when you go SSJ3 as a SSJ4 (hence the design), it's 400x SSJ4. But it drains extremely fucking fast if not controlled properly... In DBAF, when Goku brst ever reached SSJ5, he imediately powered down to base form from the massive drain.

Perfect SSJ4 is just SSJ4 pushed to an ascended state, like Super Vegeta and Trunk's Ultra SSJ.
