1. Flexibility in design and configuration- Depends on the clinical application which will be performed

angiography systems require till to 8 monitors or one large screen- The Hybrid OR requires a lot of medical equipment and devices.

- Compact systems and space saving solutions are needed to have more space for personal and work procedures.

- The OR ceiling is often crowed with a lot of systems. therefore there is a need for compact ceiling fixtures and combinations with other systems to save space.

2. High safety and hygienic standard- C-Bow and operating table are moving automatically. That requires

more safety features for the medical equipment in the OR field to keep the patient/ personal risk as low as possible. the medical equipment have also be protected because collisions with other medical devices are possible

- The systems should be free from edges, open areas and non hidden cables

- After each surgery medical equipment directly located in the OR field have to be easy and fast cleaned and disinfected.

3. Ergonomic workplace solution- Easy access to monitors and enough space around these

are through a lot of devices, instruments and personal rare. Fast and easy monitor positioning from all site is required.

- Flexibility to re-positioning the monitors from one site to another site of the OR table depends on clinical application. If the monitor application is not needed, it must get out of the work area.

Competition Siemens Standard Solution

Strength:- standard system for MRI or radiology.

Weaknesses:- Rail mounted system leads to

- less positioning flexibility in the OR- Hygienic issues: abrasion due to rails

above the OR field and cabling partly outside of the system

- Limited space on the ceiling due to the complex rail system

- Positioning only from the frontside of the system

Siemens use the Gas spring arm from Mavig in their projects since several years. Theirsystem is especially used in the Radiology. The solution is made up of a rail systemmounted at the ceiling, a gas spring arm and the monitor array.

Weaknesses:- bulky Design- Only for Eizo monitors - not approved cables from partner of angiography suite-user control concept unclear

Strength:- Comparable solution to Drgers Pendula

Weaknesses:- Not completly validated and certified in

collaboration between competitor and Mavig- No own solution, they have to use the Siemens

solution, which can be used only for Siemens installations

- No integrated keypad or handles for positioning of the system

- Lift arm adjustment is limited

Maquet, Trumpf and Stryker can offer a similar solution like Drger in the past do.
