He has received several awards including IMA Award – 2006, I.M.A. Academy of Medical Specialities Award- 2007. He has been among the pioneers in India in using endovascular interventions for brain aneurysm stroke and intra cranial stenting. After his post graduation in radiology, he worked in the leading hospital of the country AIIMS for nearly a decade. He spent another decade as head of department at Max Hospital and Medanta. Currently he is Director-Neurointerventional Surgery & Co-Director-Stroke Unit at Artemis Hospitals, Gurgaon. He is actively involved in spreading stroke awareness in the country through ‘Stroke and Neurointerventions Foundation’. He loves to inspire medical sciences students and shares fondly, “Neuroscience is tough branch, yet it can bring out the best in you.” A strong believer in team spirit, he specializes in treatment of stroke and aneurysms. He has contributed more than 60 publications in journals, seven chapters in books and has presented more than fifty papers in international and national conferences. He is one of the Founding member & Joint secretary of STNI(Society of Therapeutic Neurointerventions) He has been included in Top 10 Young Surgeons of the country by Hindustan Times. A practitioner of Vipassana to keep his mind sharp at all times, he believes, “Surgeons can’t afford to be too emotional. Only with a calm mind, you can think clearly.” He has also been a Visiting Professor at UMASS General Hospital, Boston. He has been training doctors across India and abroad through offline sessions and online videos for nearly a decade.
