CSE DEPT NEWS
Social Activity on 11.08.2017
The CSI Student Branch of NBKR Institute of Science and
Technology organized a social activity on 11/08/2017
which involved distributing of stationery and medicines
in MPP SCHOOL, Tirumuru, VAKADUMANDAL.The
faculties and the students interacted with the school
students. The students expressed their hearty gratitude.
The professors motivated the school students with their
inspiringtalks.
Technical Training 19.08.2017
The CSI Student Branch of NBKR Institute of Science and
Technology organized Technical Training on Space
complexity and Time complexity for III, IV years of CSI
Student Members on 19.08.2017. The SBC, Faculty
Coordinators of NBKRIST conducted the event. Students
actively participated in the event. The students who
participated received participation certificates.
Workshop on Data Science and Big Data Analytics
The Department of CSE organized a Faculty Development
Programme (FDP) which is five day workshop held from
05/07/2017 to 09/07/2017 on Data Science and Big Data
Analytics in association with ICT academy. Around 40
faculty m embers at tended the workshop and the five
day session is went through a pre-planned schedule. As
per the feedback from the faculty members this workshop
is very much useful for them to build up their skills .

Paper Presentation on 28-10-2017
The CSI Student Branch of NBKR Institute of
Science and Technology organized the paper presentation contest on 28-10-2017. The students are actively participated in the paper presentation contest and their presentation skills are up to the mark. They were presented on many recent technologies and their future existence. The faculty members were very satisfied on their presentation of each and every topic and they said that this should be the same thing to be carried out in the future events also. The students are who gave best presentation has secured merit certificates by our respected faculty members.

FIBER OPTICS –Workshop
A recent past workshop on” The finest mode of
transmitting information” was conducted for a two
days,17th&18thAugust, 2017 for final year
students of Electronics & Communication
engineering.
By this the upcoming graduates were able to ana-
lyse how an optical fibre is playing a vital role using
pulses of light for transmitting information and why
fibre is preferred over electrical cabling. They un-
derstood why fibre optics have revolutionized the
telecommunication industry.
SOCTRONICS- PLACEMENT DRIVE
A flexible VLSI design services company that offer
complete spec-to-silicon turkey solutions in logic design ,
physical design, analog mixed signal design, layout &
software engineering.
SOCTRONICS that has proven methodologies and
established design guidelines in their design. That
proven record of ramping up manpower, based on
requirements through an exclusive parnership with
VLSI training institute VEDAIIT.As a part of rigorous
selection process it has con- ducted its recent drive
in NBKRIST. The first two rounds of this drive
prelims, mains were conducted on19thAugust 2017
for the students with the minimum percentage of 75
in their academics. The third round i.e., interview was
on20thAugust in Sri Vidyanikethan, Tirupati. Among all
the students (75) only one student, R.Asritha, IV ECE
being selected for the third round.
SUNERATECH-placement drive
Suneratech – A tech company that is known for understanding
inefficiencies in IT and fixing them has conducted its recent drive on 20th
august with its 3 conventional rounds written test , G.D and interview in
NBKR institute of science and tech- nology , vidyanagar.

Suneratech Placement Drive
As a part of this drive about 200+ students in the
departments of electronics and communication engineering
with their academic excellence being 65% and above were
participated in this drive. Suneratech that offers products ,
solutions and platform built on Artificial intelligence ,
Automation & best practice the content . The one that
makes you faster and allows you to focus on your priorities
through innovation is suneratech.
“Enabling Innovation” suneratech justifies its own caption
with three switch approach . In the similar fashion , the three
traditional rounds , in fact 2 written test and group
discussion laid its path for 10+ students for their final assault
which is nothing but an interview . In this one among 10 being
place is remarkable.
BID DATA ANALYSIS-Workshop
The recent workshop on big data analytics which was
conducted on 9th
September 2017 in the name of EMC
education services has given a brief on big data analyticsfor
students of both the departments of ECE and CSE. It
elucidated what a big data actu- ally is and what it
requires… “Big Data” is data whose scale, distribution, diversity,
and/or timeliness require the use of
new technical architectures and
analytics to enable insights that unlock
new sources of business value.
For about 50 young minds of CSE & ECE those who
witnessed the workshop, Introduction to the mind
boggling concept …big data analysis went on this way
Big data was defined. Four business drivers for advanced
analytics were identified.
The role of the Data Scientist within the new big data
ecosystem was described.
Multiple illustrative examples of big data opportunities
were cited.
How Organizations are deriving business benefit from
analyzing ever larger and more complex data sets that
increasingly require real-time or near-real time capabilities
etc…
ENGINEER’S DAY
In remembrance of Sir Mokshagundam Vis-
vesvaraya, the most outstanding Engineer of all times, the
Engineering fraternity of India celebrates "Engineer's Day”
every year on 15th of September. It was this day 148 years
ago that this great contributor to growth and engineering was
born. Every year the celebration of the Engineer's Day re-
volves around a central theme that is notified to all.
Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya
He is known to be the greatest engineers of all times,
who with his vision and dedication in the field of
engineering made some exceptional contributions to India.
Owing to his contribution he was honored with the highest
state award of India, the “The Bharat Ratna”, in the year 1955.

As an Engineer par excellence:
He was the chief engineer during the construction of Krishna
sager dam on the Cauvery River. Many dams built by
him in Bombay are still functional even till today. The Sri
Jayachamaraja Polytechnic Institute of Ban- galore was
started on the recommendation of Sir Visvesvaraya.
The Block System was invented by him, which was a
system of automated doors that closed in the conditions
of overflow. Krishnarajasagara Dam built by his help,
is still praised by everybody witnessing it

ANALOG SYSTEM DESIGN-
Workshop
The department of ECE in collaboration with TI India
university program has conducted a two day work shop
on ANALOG SYSTEM DESIGN using TEXAS
INSTRUMENTS ALSK PRO KIT on 21st
& 22nd
September 2017 for III-ECE.Students keenly observed
how analog circuits are designed under the guidance of
two application engineers from TEXAS
INSTRUMENTS & faculty of ECE . It was easier a
bit in reducing the com- plexity of circuit for the
students.

RENEWABLE ENERGY RESOURSES:– FDP
A faculty development program on “Advances in
renewable energy sources” for about week from
27th June- 2nd July 2017 has stressed the roots of
renewable energy sources and what are all the
advances to be made in detail.
It recollected… energy that is collected from
renewable resources, which are naturally replenished
on a human timescale, such as sunlight, wind, rain,
tides, waves, and geothermal heat. Renewable energy
often provides energy in four im-portant areas:
electricity generation, air and water heating/cooling,
transportation, and rural (off-grid)

This was Lightning the lamp by Dr. K. Siva Kumar, professors from IIT Hyderabad, SV University and JNTU Hyderabad, SV University and JNTU, Pulivendula delivered lectures along with practical examples. Fifty members from various Engineering colleges along with our faculty attended the FDP and enriched
their knowledge in this area.

E.Lakshmi form second year of our department participated in paper presentation on“Improving Industrial Efficiency” at the event “INSPIRON 2017”held at N.B.K.R.I.S.T ,Vidyanagar. 5. CIVIL ENGINEERING NEWS Workshop on self-compacting concrete
A workshop on self-compacting concrete was
conducted by the Department of Civil
Engineering. Self-compacting concrete refers to
a special type of concrete that can be compacted
to every corner of the formwork, purely by
means of its own self-weight and without the
need for vibrating or compaction. Self-
compacting concrete is self-compacting itself
alone due to its own self weight and it is
characterized by high segregation resistance. The
source person, Dr. J.Guru Jawahar, professor,
Annamacharya Institute of Technology and
Sciences in Tirupati at lectured the preparation
with hands on practice. The students of various
colleges along with students of N.B.K.R.I.S.T
were actively participated in this workshop.
Parigrah – 2k17
Civil Engineering Association (CEA),
N.B.K.R.I.S.T, Vidyanagar, Nellore, conducted
its National level technical symposium Parigrah
-2K17. Guest who made the event successful
with his presence was Dr.V.Mallikarjun,
AssociateProfessor, V.R. SIDDARTAH College,
Vijayawada. The highlighted events of the
symposium were paper presentation, poster
presentation, technical quiz, tool hunt, lab funda
and model making. Students from various
renowned colleges across the Nation were
participated in the events,
