Ahmednagar Jilha Maratha Vidya Prasarak Samaj was established in 1918, is one of the pioneer educational institutes in Ahemednagar District. The Chatrapati Rajrshri Shahu Maharaja of Kolhapur Dynasty is the pivotal motivation behind the establishment of the Institution. Presently, the institute runs two primary schools, forty eight secondary schools, twenty two junior colleges, thirteen hostel for the students belong to backward classes, seven degree colleges, a Law College, a D. Ed. college, an Institute of Management Research and Rural Development, an Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, an Engineering College, a Cooperative Consumer store and an Ashram Shala.

Thus, it has grown into a family of academic institute in varied disciplines. The institute has been managed by a team of dedicated social workers. It has contributed largely to the educational and social developments so far and shall continue to do so in future, catering to the needs of changing scenario. The development during the last ninety eight years is consistent with its motto, "Tejo Si Tejo Me Dehi."

New Arts, Commerce and Science College, Ahmednagar, was established in 1970, which is one of the renowned educational institutes in Savitribai Phule Pune University jurisdiction. The college imparts quality education in the courses like Bachelor as well as Post-Graduate Degrees in the Faculties of Arts, Commerce and Science including Computer Science.

Realizing the importance of new trends in higher education, the college has introduced graduate and post-graduate courses in the emerging areas such as Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Drug Chemistry, Statistics, Wine-Technology, Animation, Music, Communication Studies, Computer Science, Environmental Science, B.B.A., Career Oriented Courses in Tourism and Travel Management and Spoken English. In fact, the college conducts almost all the courses offered by the Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune. The college started with a meager 160 students in the inception year. The college has achieved educational popularity in the district, therefore

approximately 11000 students are taking education in various faculties.

We are trying to provide state-of-the art infrastructure and competent faculty to impart quality education. Our aim is to develop the Institute a centre of learning and research in various disciplines to meet the ever changing demands of the day. To inculcate good moral values among the students is an objective of our institute.

Today, research has been highly esteemed in the higher education. Teaching transforms information into knowledge that imparts a new perspective to look at life at large. The colleges need freedom rather than autonomy to establish innovative, creative and visionary practices. Due to our commitment for excellence and quality in higher education and incessant growth for the last 46 years, the college has been reaccredited with 'A' Grade with GGPA of 3.53 on 4 point scale by the NAAC, Bangalore in March 2012. Department of Science and Technology, Government of India has sanctioned a special grant of Rs. 1 Crore under FIST scheme for bidding academic facilities in the Science stream. Recently, in 2015-2016, the college bagged " The Star College Status" by D.B.T. Government of India, "College with Potential for Excellence" "The Best College by the University Grants Commission, New Delhi andAward" by the Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune.

Pune University.

Intake Capacity

Intake capacity for B.B.A. (C.A.) course is 160, two divisions of 80 each.

Common Entrance test will be conducted for admission to B.B.A. (C.A.) course The merit list will be

displayed on the notice board. A candidate whose name appears in the merit list has to apply to

the college within specified date.

The details of procedure for admission, payment of fees, issue of Identity and Library Cards

etc. will be displayed on the notice board from time to time. In case of difficulty or for more details

the students may contact Co-ordinator.

Teaching Methodology The innovative and practical teaching methods are given due emphasis like

Seminars, Workshops, quiz competition for computer subjects, management games,

group discussion, mock interview, Individual Assignment, paper presentation etc.

We provides opportunity to students to take participation in subject related

seminars organised by other Institutes.

Computer Laboratory and Internet Sophisticated computer Laboratories includes student's lab, group computing work

stations and Local Area Network. Lab is well equipped with over 52 terminals. The internet

facility is available for students.

LibraryThe in house library has wide range of Computer, management literature, and extensive

collection of periodicals, Magazines and business journals and newspapers to make the

students accessible to the latest and informative happenings in the business scenario as

well as other recent affairs. It has also a collection of video cassettes and CD's on a variety

of subjects. The college library consists of more than 1.3 lack books on various subjects

and consists of study room, which provides conducive environment for uninterrupted

academic pursuit.

SCHEME OF EXAMINATION -

The examination will be of 3600 marks divided into 3 parts as follows -

B.B.A. (CA) Part I (Semester I & II) - Aggregate Marks-1200

B.B.A. (CA) Part II (Semester III & IV) - Aggregate Marks -1200

B.B.A. (CA) Part III (Semester V& VI) - Aggregate Marks -1200

The Written examination carrying 80 marks of 3 hrs. duration for every subject will be held

at the of each Semester. The class work & term end examination carries 20 marks.

For courses in Practical (Semester I, II, III, IV, & V) there will be Practical

Examination of 80 marks and viva-voce examination of 20 marks. For the course on Project

Report at Semester VI a Project Report will be assessed for 80 marks and 20 marks for

candidate’s oral presentation.

BACKLOG :

The A.T.K.T. Rules are as per the rules of the . However the Savitribai Phule Pune University

candidate will be admitted to Third year only after passing in all the subjects of the First Year.

STANDARD OF PASSING :

A candidate has to obtain 40% marks in the individual head of the examination. i.e. semester

examination and term end examination i.e. 32 out of 80 in external and 8 out of 20 in internal

examination.

AWARD OF CLASS :

The class will be awarded to the student on the basis of aggregate marks obtained by him in all

three years. (Part I, II & III). The award of class is as follows.
