Planner's Home Page Configuration1 Purpose

The purpose of this document is to describe the general configuration steps required to manually set up the configuration within the system landscape that has already been installed using the corresponding installation or configuration guides for installation.

If you do not want to configure manually and prefer an automated installation process using the tools, refer to the Quick Guide of your rapid-deployment solution that is attached to the SAP Note 1968183.This document supplements the existing Customizing documentation in the Implementation Guide (IMG) and provides additional information where required.

2 Preparation

2.1 General Prerequisites

Before you start installing this scenario, you must also install the prerequisite building blocks. For more information, see the Building Block Prerequisites Matrix. You will find this document in the Content Library, attached to the project-specific Step-by-Step Guide in the RDS Business Center.To use planner's home page functions, you must activate the business function SCM-APO, Planner's Home Page (SCM_APO_HOME_PAGE). 2.2 Role Prerequisites

Use

SAP standard role SAP_SCM_PLN_HOME does not contain the link to forecast dashboard, we need to copy it to Y_SAP_SCM_PLN_HOME role and enhance it.

Procedure1. To carry out the activity, choose one of the following navigation options:

2. On the Role Maintenance screen, Input SAP_SCM_PLN_HOME in field Role and choose Copy role. In the dialogue window, keep SAP_SCM_PLN_HOME in field from role unchanged, and input Y_SAP_SCM_PLN_HOME in field to role. Choose Copy all.You will get information message indicating role is copied2.3 Technical Prerequisites

We recommend that you use SAP NetWeaver Business Client 4.0 for Desktop to get the full range of functions of the planner's home page. Please note that NWBC always uses your digital certificate by default to login.For installation of SAP NetWeaver Business Client, choosehttps://service.sap.com/swdc, then choose Support Packages and Patches ( Browse our Download Catalog ( SAP Frontend Components ( Netweaver Business Client ( NWBC NW Business Client 4.0.

Since the SAP Best Practices package uses SAP NetWeaver Business Client version 4.0 do NOT choose a higher release version even if it is available.The connection in NWBC 4.0 needs to be set up after you logon NWBC, in the System Selection screen choose New. Make the following entries:

3 Configuration

The following section describes the complete settings for this building block. These settings can be divided into three main groups:

Prerequisite settings that have to be checked and which were delivered by SAP (as part of the standard delivery)

The term Check refers to these prerequisite settings.

Settings defined by the customer (in the customer namespace and customer-specific):

The system uses automation to request individual customer settings during the personalization process. These settings can be initial or reused from existing SAPERP layers and are indicated in the text by .

Additional settings that need to be made, covered either by automation or manual configuration (in the customer namespace)

The term Create refers to these additional settings in the text.The planner's home page is delivered with the necessary configuration settings and business content so that you can start using it without having to make changes to the Web Dynpro configuration. However, specific requirements might be necessary to make configuration changes. Here we mention how to make such changes, mainly focus on personalization.

3.1 Assigning Role to UsersUse

To use planner homepage, the role created in the previous step needs to be assigned to the user.

Procedure1. Access the activity using one of the following navigation options:

12. Choose Save.3.6 Personalizing My Objects Content BlockUse

In this activity, you personalize the My Objects content block to get an overview of location products or that you are interested in, based on the assigned KPI-s that were previously defined in the KPI customizing.Procedure 1. Logon SAP Netweaver Business Client with central planner user YR_CENTRAL and password initial.2. For first time logon, it is required to change the password. Change the password to welcome.

If the Single Sign on is active, you may not receive the logon screen but logon directly with your own user ID. In this case, make the following settings in your IE browser.a. In IE browser, choose Tool ( Internet Options , choose tab page Security.

b. Choose button Customer Level

c. For option Dont prompt for client certificate selection where only one certificate exists, choose option Disable.d. Choose OK.e. Choose Apply .

f. Choose OK.g. Access the activity using the following navigation path:

3.7 Personalizing Favorite Selections Content BlockUse

The planner's home page offers the possibility of accessing your most frequently used selections in Demand Planning (DP), Supply Network Planning (SNP), and Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS) from one location.Prerequisites

The selection profiles have been created. Procedure1. Logon SAP Netweaver Business Client with central planner user YR_CENTRAL 2. Access the activity using the following navigation path:

3.8 Creating Alert Query Use

The planner's home page provides you with the possibility of monitoring the alerts that are relevant for your daily work, and navigating to the applications where the alerts originated from. TheAlert Overviewcontent block lists the alerts grouped according to categories. This allows you to get an overview of the current alert situation.Prerequisites

3.8.1 Creating Alert Query for Central PlannerProcedure

1. Logon SAP Netweaver Business Client with central planner user YR_CENTRAL 2. Access the activity using the following navigation path:

42. On the Settings screen, remove all the fields except Priority and Description from displayed column to hidden column. Select the field and choose Remove.

63. Choose Apply. 3.8.2 Creating Alert Query for Local Planner

Procedure

23. On the step 3 Finish, enter the Query Description, for example, Planning Status.24. Check the checkbox Activate Query.

25. Choose Macro Alerts in field Select Category.26. Choose Finish.

27. Choose Open Settings Dialog button on the top right hand corner of the query list.28. On the Settings screen, remove all the fields except Priority and Description from displayed column to hidden column. Select the field and choose Remove.29. Choose Save as30. 33. In the following step, you define the default alert query when accessing the Alert Worklist. Choose button Personalize.34.
