SecondStep.org is an online resource center for school staff and families using the Second Step program for Early Learning through Grade 8. When you register your Second Step kit on the site, you’ll find tools and resources—some new, some tried-and-true favorites—to help you get the most out of your program.
What’s on SecondStep.org?
• Engaging online training • Teaching instructions• Resources to support program implementation and evaluation• Downloadable Spanish lesson translations for Early Learning through Grade 5• Digital versions of teaching resources, such as handouts and reinforcement materials• Digital versions of family materials to email home (also in Spanish)• Video examples of lessons and games

Take a look at the Teach the Program page, one of the many guides available on the site that offer detailed, practical suggestions for effective, research-based lesson delivery. Following Through Cards outline activities for practicing skills and reinforcing them every day. Unit cards contain further suggestions for skill reinforcement.

Implementation Task Tables
Easy-to-follow tables outline the recommended process to implement the Second Step program and its six main categories of tasks: Motivate, Prepare, Train, Support, Validate, and Sustain. Each task category comprises a clear set of recommended tasks. You can choose the tasks from each task category that meet your current level of implementation.

Get Ready Implement Videos & Downloads
To implement the K–5 Second Step program, use the recommended process with its six main task categories: Motivate, Prepare, Train, Support, Validate, and Sustain. Each task category is made up of a set of recommended tasks. Choose the tasks from each task category that meet your current level of implementation. Monitor and adjust your implementation plan regularly to meet your needs, since they may change from year to year.

Family Resources
Families can log on to SecondStep.org with their Family Program Activation Key to get an overview of the Second Step program, and learn first-hand about its benefits and the research behind it. They can watch videos of the program in action and download songs and activities to practice and reinforce Second Step skills at home.
