Seafarm Systems is a new name for a mature and experienced company
Aquasure Seacages are produced, build and distributed by Seafarm Systems, a newly established division of Plastic Fabrications Pty Ltd.
Plastic Fabrications has been supplying the Aquaculture industry since 1985, with 80% of its business attributed to Aquaculture. Growing with the Salmon industry in Tas-mania, Plastic Fabrications expanded into South Australia and continued to grow with the Tuna and Kingfish indus-tries.
From an international perspective, Plastic Fabrications has had a long standing alliance with Dainichi Corpora-tion in Japan, has recently developed a strong alliance with Cakir in Turkey, has purchased the assets of SEAQ and has established a branch in Europe. As well as fin-fish, Plastic Fabrications has also been a major supplier to Shellfish farms throughout Australia.
The growth of Plastic Fabrications has spawned a re-structure, creating Seafarm Systems, which as the name implies, is solely committed to Aquaculture.
Seafarm Systems will continue supplying the quality products and services that Plastic Fabrications has be-come known for.
Due to the unique nature of the Aquaculture industry, most farms have specific needs which call for custom solutions. Most of our work is custom made to suit in-dividual farmers needs. Our staff are experienced in the design, manufacture and use of many different aquacul-ture systems. We are happy to work with you to develop systems which fulfil your needs.
We are committed to the success of Aquaculture and seek long term relationships with our customers. We have some products certified to the Norwegian Standard (NS9415) and are able to certify more as required.

GLOBAL SUPPLIER OF SEACAGES WITH 25 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
AquaSURE Seacages have been installed globally sin-ce the mid 1980’s. We have supplied more than 2.000 cages to farmers in Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Malaysia, North America, Japan, Spain, Turkey, Ireland, Denmark and Norway.
AquaSURE cages are known for their strength, flexi-ble, durability and reliability. AquaSURE Seacages are available in a variety of sizes and configurations to match site conditions, species to be grown and customer preference.
Our cages are made from HDPE pipe and are availa-ble in either rotationally moulded PE (polyethylene) or galvanized steel stanchions in variety of pipe and cage sizes, with or without walkways.
Although the majority of our cages are circular, we have also made square, pentagon, hexagon and octagonal cages depending on customer’s preferences. We have made cages for specific tasks such as harvesting, to-wing and nursery.
We fabricate our own moulds and do our own rotatio-nal moulding which enables us to modify to our custo-mers’ needs. Cage assembly is overseen by Seafarm Systems or its distributors to ensure quality control.
AquaSURE rotationally moulded stanchions are sealed and provide added floatation,
creating higher over all buoyancy of the cage.
SOME OF THE ADVANTAGES OF AQUASURE SEACAGES
• 90 to 100% of our materials are PE which provides a long, cor-rosion free life span.
• Our rotationally moulded stanchions are sealed and provide ad-ded floatation, creating higher over all buoyancy of the cage.
• A variety of pipe wall thicknesses can be used allowing altera-tions to flexibility, weight and cost.
• We do not weld anything to our collars, this allows for the free movement of stanchions and pipe, reducing stress on compo-nents.
• Our Rotationally moulded stanchions are made from the hig-hest quality, virgin PE and our unique moulding system elimi-nates continuous seams, creating a stronger product.
• We can configure our cages with different floatation collar si-zes. This allows farmers to enlarge their cages using smal-ler pipe from existing cages for the outside Floatation collar and using new larger pipe for the inside Floatation collar. This provides the new cage with more floatation and rigidity while saving cost using existing pipe.
• We have developed a plastic walkway system that can be used on any of our newer cages.
• Our walkway system is raised above the floatation collars al-lowing access to the floatation collars, so that nets and cage moorings can be secured directly to the floatation collars whe-re they belong.
Although the majority of our cages are round, we have also made square and rectangular cages
to fit customer’s needs. Seafarm Systems is willing to customize cages to customer needs.
CIRCUMFERENCES FROM 50M TO 300M
Seafarm Systems has experience building cages from five meter squares to 290m circumference using floatation col-lar pipe sizes ranging 200mm to 630mm.
STANCHIONS CAN BE CONFIGURED TO FIT DIFFERENT PIPE SIZES
We can configure our cages with different floatation col-lar sizes. This allows farmers to enlarge their cages using smaller pipe from existing cages for the outside Floatation collar and using new larger pipe for the inside Floatation collar. This provides the new cage with more floatation and rigidity while saving cost using existing pipe.

seams, creating a stronger product.
CERTIFIED FOR NET WEIGHT RINGNet Weight Rings have become a popular weighting sys-tem from many seacage suppliers. The Aquasure base ring is delivered in many different dimensions, and our Net Weight Ring is a well tested product concept.
The Aquasure Net Weight Ring consists of a strongly di-mensioned polyethylene tube in dimensions that range from Ø200 mm tube to Ø315 mm tube. The base ring is filled up with steel wire or chain as weight, and it is cus-tomised for the individual location conditions, net depths and weights.

SELF FASTENING NET WEIGHT SYSTEM
Weight hook system is a registered system for easy mounting and dismounting of net weights. This is a sim-ple process and can be completed without the use of divers, while keeping the net weights close to the net and applying full weight to the net.
Existing cage nets can easily be adapted to the system. This is quite easy as it only requires the attachment of a galvanized rings to the base of the net wherever a net weight is to be attached.

Cage assembly is performed globally, either supervised by Seafarm Systems’
experienced staff or its distributors.
AQUASTEEL CAGES Seafarm Systems through its parent company Plastic Fabrications PTY Ltd, has spent over 20 years develop-ing our range of plastic seacages.
These have been produced using our range of AquaSure rotationally moulded plastic stanchions (clamps). Some Farmers throughout the world have preferred plastic seacages with galvanised steel stanchions (clamps).
Seafarm systems being a market driven company, want-ing to fulfil customer needs, have developed a range of Galvanized steel stanchions(clamps), using high grade steel and galvinizing.
Galvanised steel stanchions are heavy and therefore create a more rigid cage. We do not recommend them in areas of high corrosion, such as the tropics.
Aquasteel cages can be offered in circumferences from 50 to 300m with and without walkways. Aquasteel cag-es are available with Net weight rings or can be used with individual weights.
• Both Aquasure and Aquasteel cages can be certi-fied to NS 9415 as required.

MOORING SYSTEMS
Mooring Systems are a necessary evil that farmers don’t want to worry about. Our aim is for you to have absolute confidence in your mooring system Seafarm Systems can look after all of your mooring needs. If you are start-ing a new farm and don’t have (or want!) mooring experi-ence, we can supply a turn key solution by:
• Designing your system for your site and having it analysed and certified to NS9415
• Providing early budgetary quotes, followed by firm quotes
• Supplying all components• Pre-cutting and splicing of ropes as required• Coordinating and overseeing installation if required• Providing User Manuals and maintenance guide-
lines
Or, if you are an established farmer and know what you want, we can supply all components to your specifica-tion.

and can provide any type and size of rope required• Chain – all sizes and grades• Galvanized Thimbles – Fibre rope, semi-enclosed and
tubular thimbles• Shackles – all types and sizes, screw pin, safety pin
and combination screw and safety pin• Anchors – several types and sizes available to suite
customer preferences• Concrete mooring blocks – we have our own moulds
for 1.5, 2, 3 and 5 tonne blocks specifically designed for aquaculture mooring applications.
• Floats – 1250, 800, 600, 500, 240, 140 and 20 litre rotationally moulded floats
• Chain plates or “tie-in quadrants” for Grid system in-tersections.
• Custom thimble-load link-chain assemblies• International certification can be arranged for all steel
and rope components as required
AquaSURE birdnet stands can be produced in many different designs and dimensions, we also design and
supply bird nets to suit our stands and cages.
CONSULTANCY / TURNKEY SOLUTIONS
Our staff at Seafarm System, have over 20 years experience in both shellfish and finfish farming. We have worked in the industry and know how the systems work. We have continual contact with a wide range of farmers, growing various species in a large variety of conditions. This gives us an excel-lent all around knowledge of marine farming sys-tems, obstacles and solutions. Often new farmers tackle one issue at a time, not realising the impact early decisions have on future activities or growth. By involving us form the start, we can help link the systems and plans together.

CUSTOM FABRICATION
Much of our work over the years has been custom. Many customers have different needs and prefer-ences. We are continually working with farmers to produce products that meet their needs. If you have a custom need in plastic, please contact us.

NET WEIGHT ATTACHMENT SYSTEM USING THE WEIGHT HOOK
The Weight hook is a patented system designed for attaching and removing net weights The benefits are:
• Weights can be attached and removed from the sur-face without the use of divers.
• 100% of the weight Is applied to the net• Weights are kept close the base line of the net.• The hook can be retrofitted to most types of weights• Once the weight Is removed, the ‘ring rope” can be
used to raise the base of the net.• Simple and easy to use with clear signals to let the
user know what stage the weight is at and when it has engaged.
• Simple, robust construction from 12 and 16mm galva-nised steel.
