Dear Friend,Social Entrepreneurship is an innovative service model

which flourishes along with the society. India has many professionals who have taken our country to the next level and made us a service economy the world looks forward to. If every professional empowers others who are in need, the word ‘underprivileged’ or ‘down trodden’ will be written off.

Over the last eleven years, CSIM has successfully sown the seed of social entrepreneurship in the hearts of over thousands of individuals across India. Social Entrepreneurship definitely holds a great opportunity for anyone who is ready to take the plunge as it seems to be the new gold mine for initiatives that have a clear and measurable social impact.

Our mission to start 100 CSIMs by 2020 is now taking shape as we find many organizations and individuals realizing the potential of social entrepreneurship.

Let us take a pledge to spread the word and make the world a better place to live by ushering in a new genre of leaders and change makers!

Social Accounting and Audit (SAA), is a framework which allows

an organisation to build on existing documentation and reporting to develop a process whereby it can account for

social performance• report on that performance • draw up an action plan to • improveunderstand its impact on the • community and be accountable to its key • stakeholders.

Simply put, Social Accounting systems analyse the Social, Economic, and Environmental impact of an organization and report upon it. This report is then presented to and verified

by a representative Social Audit Panel, which then certifies the social accounts.

Understanding the growing need for adopting such tools amongst the development professionals as well as organizations, CSIM is working in partnership with Social Audit Network, UK as its knowledge partner in India, and is in the process of establishing a SAN India chapter.

A Master Class Training session was held in January 2011 at New Delhi with the training support of SAN, UK.
