DOUBLE SURFACE PHOTOTHERAPY UNIT DSPT100
HEALINGTWO
radiation sources
The and are sources of blue light for treatment of
hyperbilirubinaemia in neonates. They are designed for use
together in double side phototherapy to provide blue radiation on
the baby from both above and below the bassinet, thereby using
the infant's skin area effectively. Double side phototherapy results
in reduced treatment times. The units may also be used
individually as stand-alone phototherapy units.
These units have an epoxy/powder coated body for scratch
resistance and rust prevention. They conform to IEC-60601 safety
standards.
The lamp unit is made of lightweight plastic with a metallic
ventilator cover for efficient heat dissipation and has concealed
wiring. A cover below the lamp eliminates stray radiation. The
temperature at the exterior of the lamp and the choke does not
rise above 60°C.
PT104 PB100 These units occupy very little bedside space, offering
convenience during observation and procedures. They are
mobile, being mounted on three swivel castors. The base of
the units goes beneath a bed/trolley with a minimum floor
clearance of 8 centimetres.
The ballast chokes of the units are located at the base to
decrease the heat generated at the lamp unit and to increase
their stability.
The has a mechanism that prevents the light unit from
falling down freely when the height adjustment mechanism is
unscrewed.
