The TITAN® Double ShaftHammer Crusher is the perfect solution for crushing applications in the cementindustry. Typical tasks are wet limestone, wet marl, clay,chalk, gypsum and similar rawmaterials.The TITAN® Double ShaftHammer Crusher allows tocrush run of mine material inone step down to the required product size either for verticalroller mills as for ball mills.
The TITAN® Double ShaftHammer Crusher is known forproved reliability and advanced heavy duty design, ensuring along service life.
The feed material iscontinuously fed to the crusherby an apron feeder. Large material boulders areprecrushed by the hammersbetween the rotors.Subsequent reduction takesplace on the anvil before thefinished product is calibratedon the discharge grate.

The main crushing process of a Double Shaft Hammer Crusheris performed by rotating hammers between the rotorsand on the anvil. It is importantto understand, that the materialis not ‘ground’ on the gratebaskets. The grate baskets calibrate the material grain size by different openings, in order to produceraw material either forball mills (0/25 mm) orvertical mills (0/80 mm).
Five axle rotorPatented by ThyssenKrupp
Based on its long operationalexperience ThyssenKruppdeveloped a new rotor conceptfor the TITAN® crushers with animpact circle diameter of 2m. Instead of six axles the numberof hammer rows of the rotorswas reduced to five. This modified design results inan optimized penetration of the lumps between the hammersand an aggressive and fastcrushing process. ‘Rolling’ ofthe stones on the rotor andblocking of the crusher iseliminated with this new system.In addition the new geometryof the pentagon shapedrotor shafts and the modifieddiscs allowed to increase the weight of the hammers resulting in stronger impact forces and an optimized wear volume of thehammers. The benefits for theclient are higher throughputrates at reduced operational andmaintenance costs.

Hammer axle extraction device
To reduce maintenance timeevery TITAN® Double Shafthammer crusher is equippedwith an hammer axleextraction device allowing toturn or to change the hammers completely withinone shift. ThyssenKrupp TITAN® crushersare operated today with cast orforged hammers always optimized for the specific application toreduce wear and extend life time.

To change the grate basketsunderneath the rotors thehousing of the TITAN® Crusheris equipped with wide openingside doors making it possibleto change the grate basketswith the help of the hydraulicactuated grate basket carriervery easily.
