Lower value of cutting speed is used for high stock removal applications and for higher material hardness applications.

Higher value of cutting speed is used for finishing applications or lower material hardness applications.

All parameters are based on ideal machining conditions and adequate machine tool capability.

Lower value of cutting speed should be selected when using smaller machines with spindles less than 50 taper.
