Achievements

¤ The school has received best upcoming school award in a Principals National conference in Chandigarh. The award was presented by former union minister Shri Pawan Kumar Bansal and Prof. Ghuman, Vice Chancellor Punjab University.

¤ Students from Doon Public School, Hathras were called to the Rashtrapati Bhawan for the Rakshabandhan celebration with the Hon’ble President of India His Excellency Shri Ram Nath Kovind.

Doon Public School which spreads its fragrance in the historic town of Hathras in the Year 2016, is nested in a pollution free Campus over 6 acres on Agra Road, Hathras.

The Campus contains well - lit airy AC classrooms, courtyard for indoor games and beautiful landscape lawns & playgrounds. Apart from the basic necessities which are kept clear and hygienic at all times, there are Science composite lab, Math lab, Computer lab, well equipped Language lab and AV rooms to enable students to polish their listening and speaking skills.

NAYAK (M.Sc., MBA, B.Ed., Ph.D.)

He is an accomplished E d u c a t i o n i s t , a n Education Consultant, CBSE Resource Person / T r a i n e r f o r t h e Enrichment and Skill-Capacity building of

teachers, students and parents. He has written extensively on school educators for a number of Newspapers & Journals.

He has started his career with Venkateswar English Medium School, Bhubaneswar as PGT, Biology in 1994, then as Principal at St. Xavier’s Senior Secondary School, Bilaspur (Chhattisgarh), followed by Delhi Public School, Sagar as Principal, worked as Sr. Principal at Prelude Public School, Agra and now currently working as the Sr. Principal at Doon Public School, Hathras (U.P.).

He is the founder President of a teachers forum made for children activities named RACE (Research for Adult & Child Education) in Odisha, the Chairman & CEO of a Principals forum called Centre for Educational Development Trust (CED FOUNDATION), Delhi , the President of Curriculum Development Committee, SPAA INDIA, Trainer and Consultant of National Independent School Alliance (NISA) and Director of National School Genius Olympiad, State Coordinator of National Testing Agency (NTA).

He was awarded as the Best Teacher by Rajiv Gandhi Foundation in the year 2006 and the Best Principal by Smt. Smriti Irani, the HRD Minister in 2014. On 24th April, 2016 he was awarded the most prestigious AVANTIKA Dr. APJ ABDUL KALAM NATIONAL AWARD at New Delhi. Honored with the best Principal Award from Global Leaders Foundations and School Education Leadership Award from Secretary School Education MHRD, Shri S. C. Khuntia at New Delhi, He is the recipient of Best Principal Award at Thailand by Common Wealth Vocational University and many others….

To enhance overall development in the tiny tots the foundation is laid right from the first day of schooling.

To make the teaching child centered, play way method has been adopted for the tiny toddlers to develop interest in academics. Plethora of enrichment activities such as show & tell, sorting & placing, follow the leader, mystery box, stacking, rearranging, treasure hunt, identification & classification, flash card activity, multimedia, scrap book activity etc and different science experiment were done in each pre-primary class.

Primary"PLAY IS THE HIGHEST FORM OF RESEARCH”

In Doon Public School this section starts from classes I- V. To make the Education interesting here more emphasis is put on Activity Based Learning. For every lesson a specific activity is selected so that the child should learn by doing.

To encourage the creativity in students different activities are organized for eg. Story Telling, Poem Recitation, Inter class competitions, speak on the stage, Spell-Bee, Handwriting Competition, dramatization, etc.

In this section more emphasis is put on “Learning by Doing”. At this stage the child wants to learn everything practically. So in every subject teachers bring special material like videos related to the topics, online learning is taken into practice, to improve speaking skills students are provided with English Language Lab. Digital Library has the collection of 90,000 books. Books of every subject are provided for students.

Admission at Doon Public School Hathras is purely based on oral interaction with the child. Considering the age factor as on 1stApril of the year

Age Criteria

The age of the child on 01st April 2018 will determine the eligibility for admission to a particular class. Age recruitment for the classes is as follows.

A short-written test may be conducted wherever applicable, for the following subjects-

Classes I – VI English, Mathematics

Classes VII – X English, Mathematics & Science

Steps for Registration & Admission

¤ Registration form is free of cost.

¤ Registration form for admission may be downloaded from school website.

¤ The Registration form, duly filled in all respect, should be submitted to the school office within 03 days from the date of collection of the form.

¤ After scrutinizing the Registration forms the parents will be informed about an oral interaction date for their ward / wards.

¤ After the successful completion of oral interaction parents will be informed for admission formalities.

Documents to be submitted at the time of Admission

¤ School leaving/transfer certificate and last Report Card, in originals. Counter signed school leaving certificate for students

applying for admission to class I onwards attested by concerned educational department.

¤ SSSMID (Samagra Samajik Suraksha Mission ID) & Aadhar Card of the child is mandatory to submit

¤ Municipal Birth Certificate, (Xerox copy mandatory) for all classes Pre-Nursery, Nursery & Prep.

¤ Two recent passport size colour photographs of the child and one each of both parents.

Note: Admission will be cancelled if any variance or misrepresentation is found the particulars filled in the Admission form and the supporting documents at any stage. In such case, only the security deposit will be refunded.

Doon Public School is a Co-ed Day School. Here teachers are provided with a well furnished room. A lush green ground is also available for teachers and their families. Teachers from outside the Hathras have joined here and due to tight security every family feels secure inside the Campus.

The school has come up with an ECO friendly Hi-Tech Computer Lab which is divided into 4 hexagonal segments. The lab consists of 4 hexagonal segments, which are Lab-A (has the facility of Wi-Fi), Lab-B (has networking features) and Lab-C (has N- computing feature, which allow one C.P.U. to connect with 6 monitors).

All these Labs are equipped with Slim WI-FI enabled LCD Projectors and connected to a server room, Which provides 24 x 7 Power Backup.

Composite Lab

We facilitate children with a well equipped composite lab (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) which gives an advance edge to scientific learning to students of Middle & High School.The laboratory has latest equipments to make practical learning possible. Students from class 5 onwards visit the lab.

Swimming Complex

All aspiring students have regular access to the fully air-conditioned & full- fledged swimming pool in the school. The indoor swimming pool of 25 m length & 10 m width with 1 m depth in the shallow end & 2.5 in the depth in the deeper end caters to need of any growing swimmer. The hygienic conditions of the surrounding, temperature & cleanliness of water etc is ascertained & certified on regular basis. Two well trained instructors, with a full time to take care of the trainees are at their services during all school days.

The Environment club in Doon community is a voluntary group comprising of students and teachers which promotes participation of students in learning about and working towards the conservation and sustainability of their environment.
