THE POPE’S MONTHLY INTENTIONS May 2019

Evangelization – Church in Africa

That the Church in Africa, through the commitment of its members, may be the seed of unity among her peoples and a sign of hope for the continent..

Rosary Prayer Intentions for May (provided by Our Legions of Mary)

SPECIAL May Rosary Intentions: that we include in our daily

prayers the evangelization of not only Africa but of all countries…that we become more cognizant of the “domino” effect of evangelization, i.e., the conversion of one country indirectly begets the conversion of other countries…that our Catholic missionaries throughout Africa are able to effect positively the unification of people in mind, hearts and souls…that churches throughout our own country warmly welcome Catholic workers during their annual appeals for spiritual and monetary aid…that the citizenry of Africa proudly embrace the richness, beauty, depth and profoundness of their culture…that international organizations may give invaluable assistance to the African people in promoting optimal health, safety and prosperity…that unification becomes the by-product of improved water and food systems throughout the country…and that we fervently pray to St. Mark, the Gospel Writer, and to St. Benedict for the total unification and conversion of Africa.

ON-GOING Personal Rosary Intentions

Joyful Mysteries for the unborn, newly born, young children,

teenagers, families and friendships. Luminous Mysteries for the newly baptized, those receiving

confession and the Holy Eucharist for the first time, newlyweds and those already married – love/peace/unity – now and forever. Sorrowful Mysteries for the sick and suffering, the dying, the

oppressed, the tortured, the persecuted, the lonely, the abandoned and the depressed. Glorious Mysteries for the souls in purgatory, forgotten souls,

newly confirmed and ALL life, the intercession of Mary to Jesus for our daily intentions and the requested intentions of others.

DONATIONS FOR LOVED ONES For the week of May 11-17, 2019

ALTAR FLOWERS In Memory of: Lila Horvath

Requested by Jill and Mike Kane

I am happy to announce that we have successfully completed the Grow NJ Kids rating process and have been awarded 4 Stars!!! Participating child care and early learning programs are assigned a start rating based on observed quality. As a rated program, we have demonstrated our commitment to offering high-quality child care and promoting school readiness. The items within the rating scale include: Space & Furnishings, Personal Care Routines, Language & Literacy, Learning Activities, Interactions, and Program Structure. The Grow NJ raters visited our classrooms and observed for 3 hours each while scoring us using the ECERS-3 scale. For the last 2 years, I have been developing and implementing policies to ensure we met the requirements for this rating – classroom arrangements, staff training, implementing developmentally appropriate practices, supplies/materials and so much more. I am proud of our center and our staff for all the hard work and dedication to make our program great. (Mercedes Debrecki)
