Enjoy AprilApril is known for its showers, but don’t let the rain get you down. Remember that “April showers bring May flowers,” and before you know it our community will look its finest with the colors of spring and the sounds of new life.
April also provides us with warmer weather and many beautiful days to enjoy being outdoors. Living at Stonewood Village allows you the freedom to get out and enjoy the longer days of spring.
“Egg”cellent Easter FunWe are happy to announce there will be a community-wide Easter Egg Hunt on Friday, April 14! So bring your friends and family and join us for some good spring fun!
Beautiful LandscapingIt’s our pleasure to provide a beautiful, landscaped place for you to enjoy! You can help us by picking up trash, properly disposing of cigarette butts, and keeping pets and children out of the landscaping. Thank you!
Don’t Fool YourselfSome of you may be surprised to know that in the
event of an emergency – fire, flooded home, etc. – your personal belongings are not covered under the insurance policies carried by the community. That is why renter’s insurance is so important. If your personal belongings were destroyed or stolen, could you afford to replace these items? It could
take thousands of dollars to replace your furniture, electronic equipment, clothes and all your other
possessions.
Be Fit!Have you checked out our fitness center? Lace up your athletic shoes and give our equipment a run for its money. You’ll feel better and look better!
Slick RoadsRemember to be especially careful driving during wet weather. Use additional caution when driving in our community during the rain. Be especially cautious of residents dashing in from the weather and cars backing out of the lot. As we know, it is very difficult to stop quickly when the roads are wet. It is also difficult to see where water has collected on the road. If you are not careful, your vehicle may hydroplane and you may lose control. So practice good driving skills: Keep a safe distance behind other vehicles; brake slowly; keep speeds down; be very observant; and always be ready to react.
Regardless of where you are, realize you must drive a little more cautiously when it’s raining or when roads are wet. It may take a little longer, but it is worth it when you arrive safely.
Gesundheit! Are you prone to sneezing, coughing, wheezing, itchy eyes, or nasal congestion? Springtime often aggravates those with allergies, but there are also many possible allergens in your home. House dust may contain dust mites, food particles, animal dander, bits of plants and insects, and bits of fabrics. Here’s some tips on how to eliminate common household allergens and pollutants:• Vacuum two or three times a week. It’s best to use a vacuum designed
especially for people with allergies. Vacuums are now made with HEPA (high-efficiency particle air) filters and may be the best choice.
• Wash all bedding weekly in very hot water.• Keep the air dry. In summer, use an air conditioner. If humidity is a problem,
use a dehumidifier. • Check the filters regularly and clean and replace when needed.
