o There were 138 new campsite reservations made in December 2016,compared to only 79 for December 2015.

o The number of reservations made January 2016 through December 2016,totaled 7,228 which is 2,696 higher than the same period in 2015.

o This is a 59.5% increase from 2015 and is 11% above of the averagereservation total for the last 5 years.

The Annual Houseboat Permit Renewal documents were sent to all 257private houseboat owners in November.

To date, 72 renewals have been completed, 17 are in process but onhold for more information needed, and the remaining 168 haven’t yetbeen received.

o The second DPRA Fire Rebuild Steering Committee meeting took place onJanuary 6, 2017. Members met and discussed various options for the VisitorCenter location and possible relocation. The pros and cons of severallocations were weighed.

o The third meeting of the DPRA Fire Rebuild Steering Committee will bescheduled.

o Annual herbicide application has begun and will continue as weatherpermits.

o Staff busy removing fallen and storm damaged trees.• (4) at Moccasin waste water plant• (4) at Blue Oaks• (2) at Fleming Meadows

o Renovation of Moccasin Kiosk interior complete.o Staff busy replacing and repairing streetlights at Fleming and Riley Ridge.

2017 Capital projects:o Preparing a requisition for upgrading the Reservation and Point of Sale (POS)

software to Camava5.o ADA renovation continues in the Fleming Meadows “A” area shower restroom

(FCS-6).

o DPRA Work Barge (AF-17) outboard motor install, pontoon repair, re-paintingcompleted. Barge re-launched.

o 2017 houseboat permit and small vessel permits for vessels stored or mooredon project are being processed and applied.

o All DPRA docks and floating facilities required constant adjustment & repairswith rapid (27 ft.) lake level rise caused by wet weather.

o Tuolumne River Debris Containment:• Tuolumne River Debris Barrier booms #1 and 2 closed prior to

Christmas, additional downstream booms without debris screens wereinstalled the first week of Jan. in preparation for heavy rain and riverinflow.

• Approx. 20 to 25 acres of floating debris was captured by upstreamdebris barrier booms from Jan. 7 through Jan. 13.

• High inflow (peak around 30,000 CFS) caused some damage toupstream debris barrier boom.

• Booms kept this debris from entering Moccasin Bay and the upperreservoir.

• Booms inspected and re-adjusted his week in preparation for comingstorms.

• Staff to begin constructing log booms. Months of containment workrequired to re-open Tuolumne River Arm to vessel traffic.

o Florida Strain Black Bass Fingerlings ranging in size from 3 to 5 inches weredelivered to Don Pedro on Friday, January 6, 2017, by Willow CreekFisheries from Friant, CA.

• The 1,680 fish were planted in Moccasin Bay.• Florida Strain Black Bass are renowned for growing to trophy size and

help to sustain Don Pedro’s reputation as a premier Black Bass fishinglake which continues to attract many Bass Tournaments to the lakeevery year.
