Policy
•Major change with DODI 5000.02
• Working with CFT to determine the best steps to ensure programs are performing Corrosion Planning
• Will oversee corrosion related changes to SECNAV guidance on DODI 5000.02
• Participating in update to DODI 5000.67 to ensure DON’s interest is included

The MRT site representatives provide training and mentoring to enlisted and officer personnel
Highlights
• Continue corrosion standard modernization efforts – MIL-STD-1568, SAE AS12500, MIL-STD-889
• Initiate and mature T-6 Texan II CPAB to transition best practices and be aware of new issues / technologies
• Commence Focus Area List (FAL) mitigation activities for FA-18, H-53E, and E-2/C-2, and address other cross-platform focus areas
• Institute Hazmat Availability Improvement Program to address coatings and sealants availability degraders
OUTREACH/AWARENESS
•Able to connect with 150+ program office personnel across the 4 SYSCOM Presentations
•Allowed SYSCOM Corrosion Reps to present SYSCOM specific corrosion issues
•Overwhelming success with most participants rating corrosion information as most helpful
•Like to continue to engage with SYSCOM reps this way

NAE CPT KeynoteIn-Service Perspectives Panel – FRCsCorrosion, NDI, and Hazmat Tech Talks
1. Maintain an effective corrosion prevention and control program in the Navy to
coordinate Department-level Corrosion Prevention and Control (CPC) activities
2. Ensure CPC is maintained in the Department’s policies and guidance for
management of weapons systems, logistics, and facilities and infrastructure
3. Support Department-level research, development, test and evaluation activities
to transition CPC technologies and techniques to the fleet
4. Promote Navy/Marine Corps acquisition and sustainment workforce training and
educational resources to enhance knowledge and awareness of CPC issues and
strategies
5. Foster the development of an open and collaborative environment focused on
CPC through communication with all levels of internal and external stakeholders
