Conference Overview
Looking at the importance of the smart grid and
renewable energy resources integration in the
existing power systems, this conference is planned to
further explore the viability of various related
technologies. SGRE 2019 is the 2nd International
Conference on Smart Grid and Renewable Energy,
focusing on contemporary industry topics ranging
from smart grid, renewable energy, power
electronics, controls, manufacturing, to
communications and computational intelligence.
Join us for the wealth of world’s industry,
researchers, and academic presentations, tutorials,
special session, and exhibits and enjoy the
wonderful city of Doha — the pearl of Arabian Gulf
known for its beauty, history and hospitality.

Special Sessions
The conference will include Special Sessions on highly
specialized topic areas reporting technical trends and
breakthroughs within the scope of the conference.
Special Sessions are organized at the initiative of one or
more individuals, who must adhere to specific procedures
published on the conference website.
Student & Young Professionals Activities Program
The forum offers activities and opportunities for
engineering students and recent graduates (young
professionals) to present their R&D work in Industrial
Electronics, and to help them develop networking

Paper Submission
Prospective authors are invited to electronically submit
full papers in English, 6 pages, in pdf format following
instructions accessible via www.sgre-qa.org. Accepted
and presented papers will be submitted for inclusion in
the IEEE Xplore online digital library and EI Compendex
database. In addition, authors of selected papers may be
called upon to resubmit extended versions of their papers
or consideration of publication in the top of the IEEE
Transactions.
Preliminary Venue
The conference will be held at Marriott Marquis City
Center Doha Hotel, which is located in the heart of the
city. Its location makes possible to visit the city by
walking.
