FEATURE CREATURE

RAINBOW (Chinelle / Mayanna)

Dewormed, Dipped, Inoculated, soon to be spayed.

We got Rainbow in Danoon from a very drunk man who wasdragging her on a chain that was so tight she could barely breath,

She was very thin with all her bones showing, and patches of

mangy balled spots everywhere. She was vomiting up faeces, as

it seemed to be the only 'food' available to her. It took me 6 hours

to get close enough to her to touch her once we got her in my

backyard, which was not easy. She was just too petrified of

humans! No doubt in my mind that she thought I was going to kill

her. She was trembling and shaking like I've never seen a dog do.

She wouldn't eat, was scared to move once I had her in the spare

room by a heater and nice warm bedding. 3 days later, just sitting

next to her for an hour at a time, she finally ate her first bite of

real food! 2 weeks later, I finally dipped her for the mange, and

we got close enough to treat her medically as she would not letus touch her.. Today, nearly 6 weeks later, she is a different dog!

She is super cute, playful, lovable, gentle, friendly, and VERY

clever! She has been for 3 beach runs off a lead, and sticks with

the pack like glue! From a dog that's never known love or food,

and it took her seconds to learn what 'sit' meant.. She's picked up

weight nicely, and is great with other dogs and cats. However,

most dogs seem to bully her a bit because she's very submissive.

She just needs someone who is gentle and patient and who can

further show her that not all humans are bad.. She still scares a

bit if you move to fast, and does panic a when you put a lead on

her, even if it's a harness, but with persistence and coaxing,

she realises you're not going to hurt her.SHE HAS SO MUCH LOVE TO GIVE!! PLEASE GIVE HER A

CHANCE... SHE IS A VERY SPECIAL LITTLE GIRL.. And she

LOVES the beach.. : )

was brought to

PETS unable to

walk. Diagnosis :

Severe worm

infestation which

had resulted in

larvae migrating up

the spine and to the

brain. With

treatment Haili has

already started to

walk. She is still

very wobbly on her

feet but the vets are

sure she will makea full recovery! Her

worms have been

treated so she is

100% worm free

Lucky is a very active little boy who loves

attention. DOB + / April 2010. He is just under a

year of age He loves to sit on ones lap and give

kisses. He takes a while to get used to other dogs

but once he knows them he will play with them till

they can’t anymore. He is extremely lovable and

loves his daily walks

Lucy(Mayanna)Mixed breed. DOB +/- July 2010. Medium

sized, vaccinated and spayed. Sweet and

loving dog but comes from a history

without love, attention and care. Has short

attention span but will improve over time

with training. Owner must be patient. She

will make an excellent playmate. She

came to us with very bad mange that has

started to clear up very nicely.

maya (NaOb)

Maya is a female doggie, approx 2.5 yrs of age (DOB +/- Jan

2009 . She is sterilised, vaccinated, and in great health. She is

under knee high. Maya is a Calvinia death row rescue. When I

got her she looked terrible and was very, very scared. She is is

the perfect companion dog. She loves attention and cuddles.

She has got beautiful brown eyes and after everything that she

went through in her life, she still managed to trust me. Gets on

well with dogs and cats. For her size is she a real lover

buck (Mayanna)

Buck is a mixed breed. DOB

+/- Dec 2006. Medium sized

male. Sterilised, vaccinated,

dewormed and frontlined

shadow (Mayanna)

Labby X DOB +/- April 2010.

Found in Parow Industria with her tail ripped off. Shadow came to us a

broken dog. Her tail was ripped / bitten off and she was very scared andunsure how to react around humans. As her tail healed, so did her spirit

and soul. She is a very timid, extremely loving dog a real laptop. She is

very clever and even stands on her back feet on signal. She needs a lot

of TLC and will do great in training.

cody (BerLom)

Cody is a Male doggie approx 4 yrs of age. (DOB +/- Jan 2007) He is

neutered and vaccinated. Cody is a lovely boy with a very soft heart. He

obviously hasn't had an easy life as he seems quite nervous about getting

into trouble when he does anything. He is brilliant with kids and other

dogs, very gentle and although he does enjoy walks he is not hyperactive

at all. He gives lots of love and affection, and is an amazing

companion!He really is such a pleasure, so accepting with a calm spirit.

"Well aren't I just the image of my name .. Yes, a Duchess. I am

about 1 years old (DOB +/- March 2010) and just want to love,

love, love but a little scared too, incase I get swooshed away. But

give me some time to get used to this new way in my life. I was

frightened and apprehensive but coming slowly out of my

shell. I don't bark much cause I don't think it was allowed but I

wag my tail so that my whole body shakes. I would so love to be

YOURS forever and forever and just love you to bits. With a little

patience and understanding, you couldn't

ask for better ~ Pick me Pick me!!

Male Doggie. X Breed

Approx 4 yrs of age. Medium – Large

Breed. Torro was rescued from Louwville

where he was hit by a car. He is still very

insecure and needs a lot of TLC. He is

blind in his one eye and has a bit or

arthritis in one of his legs.



Toby (Denay)

Toby is a +/- 2yr old labby X doggy who was severely

abused. (DOB +/- March 2009) He had a chain around

his neck when rescued. Chain was so tight it ripped into

his flesh. He is being treated for his injury and is

expected to make a full recovery. He does not do to

well with other dogs and really just needs a human

willing to give him loads of love and attention.

Please consider Toby – He also deserves a loving

home.

Boerie (MarVosl)

Looking for Retirement home ☺Boerie is a 12 year old female, ridgeback X boerbull. Her

family moved and left her without any food or water. The

neighbours took her to the vet and put her on medication

for hip displasia. (she has a monthly sponsor for meds

when adopted) She is use to living outside, and still has

lots of love to give. The house she lives at is in auction

and we need to find a home for her before August :(((Please open your home and heart to this beautiful girl

who will bring any family joy and love.

Scruffy is a wired hair terrier X Female.

Small – Medium sized. Approx 1 year of

age. Was picked up on the R304. Such a

softy. Very sensitive and intelligent. Playfull

and excellent with kids. Will make a brilliant

family doggie. Was abused and sometimes

still a bit scared but her confidence has

grown a lot already ☺

Such a little cutie pie. Very intelligent and

easy to train. Very lively and playfull. Will

smallish in size. She is a Louwvillerescue. Very independent, social and

friendly. Loves attention and will make

a great family doggie. Intelligent and

unable to keep him. He is very lively and

longs for attention. He is a real

sweetheart. He tends to struggle with

other doggies but gets on very well with

ADOPTION INFORMATIONNB!! Please keep in mind, when wanting to adopt very young puppies and kittens that they still need to eat three

to four times a day so they cannot be left alone for an entire work day. They will need a “babysitter” at first, so

please ensure that this is sorted out before adopting.

Once the form has been approved, you will be put into contact with the foster parent to meet the

puppy/kitten/dog/cat.

All PETS’ puppies and kittens are being fostered by different families, as PETS believes in a “FREE RANGE”

policy where the puppies and dogs are integrated with families, other dogs, cats and kids immediately to help

them cope and recover. This also helps them to adjust to normal life, so when they are adopted they are not “Cage

Babies”. All our animals that we rescue share our beds with us as well as our own pet’s lifestyles. So they are all

healthy and well adjusted.
