DOES FEAR HAVE A HOLD ON YOU?

Our biggest obstacle to following God in our present situation is

fear.

When fear holds our heart captive, it is

impossible to follow God and join Him in pursuing His mission for our life.

Deuteronomy 1:29-38

They focused on the giants instead of God.

This led them to respond in fear rather than in faith.

It always does!

“Then Caleb silenced the people before Moses and

said, ‘We should go up and take possession of the

land, for we can certainly do it’” (Num. 13:30).

“The land we passed through and explored is exceedingly good. If the

LORD is pleased with us, He will lead us into that land, a land flowing with

milk and honey, and will give it to us. Only do not rebel against the LORD.

And do not be afraid of the people of the land, because

we will swallow them up. Their protection is gone, but the LORD is with us. Do not

be afraid of them'" (Numbers 14:7-9).

They lived through the wilderness.

They were able to go on to possess all that God had in

mind for them.

The question of the day is, “Are you going to let fear stay in your heart?”

There is a way for you to go from fear to faith.

Understand that satan’s plan is to keep us so focused on all the giants in our life so that we will be afraid that won’t focus on our Great

God.

Understand that God is upset when we react out of our fear of the giants and not out of faith in

Him.

Remember all the times in your past when God’s

power, presence provision and protection have been there for you.

Pray for God to give you the faith to believe that

He can do it again so you won’t miss out on all that He has planned for your

life.

When conflicts of life are hammered out on the

anvil of faith and prayer, we can rise to meet the enemy head on with the

knowledge that victory is assured. God will produce the inward changes that will

overcome outward giants.
