History

Ross James Belshaw Kemp (born 21 July 1964) is a

BAFTA award-winning English actor, author and

journalist, who rose to prominence in the role of

Grant Mitchell in the BBC soap opera, EastEnders.

Since 2006, Kemp has received international

recognition as an investigative journalist for his

critically acclaimed and award-winning documentary

series Ross Kemp on Gangs.

Documentaries

Ross Kemp’s documentaries mainly consist of crime, gangs

and military documentaries. His most famous documentary

is ‘Ross Kemp on Gangs’, on the show Kemp travels around

the world talking to gang members, locals who have been

affected by gang violence, and the authorities who are

attempting to combat the problem. In each episode he

attempts to establish contacts within the gangs who can

arrange interviews with the gangs' leaders.

His documentaries are shot in the participatory and

reflexive style.
