In earlier times, there was a story writer named Sait who worked as a cleaning
officer at a train station. One day, Sait fells in love with a woman he saw in the train
and an unpredictable story begins.
Saddam’s gold, the final loot of the Iraqi war, is smuggled into Turkey hidden in
cotton balls. Blind workers are employed by the smugglers to separate the gold
from the cotton, and in order to prevent any theft they tell the workers that they
are separating pebbles from the cotton. They don’t know that there’s a seeing eye
among the blind workers.

village was bombed in the civil war of Syria. Beşir’ s dream because the civil war
was being a doctor, but after he is not answering to the question “What’ s your
dream?”. Beşir have to work, away his mother and without see her. Then he started
to mix trashes and collect waste papers and cardboards.

He opened two individ-ual exhibitions and his work was shown in many mixed exhibitions. He shot “I Got an Idea!”, an experimental video art movie, in 2015. He shot another short film, “0 RH-“, in 2016. He was the director of photography, editor and co-producer of documentary film “From the Space Syria is Here” which was broadcast on ‘The Guardian’s website. He started writing his first fea-ture length script, “The Mur-der.” “The Murder” was select-ed to Antalya Film Festival’s Film Support Fund in 2015. The artist is carrying out his works in a studio based in İstanbul.

Araf is an essayistic road movie and diary of a ghostly
character, Nayia, who travels between Srebrenica and
Sarajevo to Mostar in Bosnia. She has been in exile since
the war and returns for the 22nd memorial of the Srebrenica
genocide. The film is guided by her diary notes of the
journey which merge with the myth of Daedalus and Icarus
– Icarus being the name given to the winner of a bridge
diving competition in her home country. The story of Icarus
and Daedalus, a myth symbolic of man’s over-ambition and
inevitable failure, is weaved throughout the film as a way
to think about exorcizing the vicious cycle of such events
happening in the future and of a possible reconciliation.
Nayia also thinks of Icarus from a different perspective,
that of seeing the optimism of such a leap, his braveness
of taking a leap into the unknown in this era of radical
instability, that perhaps, Icarus wanted to write a different
narrative.
Didem Pekün’s work explores both artistic research and practice; conceptually it deals with the production of subjectivities within violent geographies, displacement, and the different forms they take on-screen. Her studio practice includes documen-taries and video installations, have screened internationally and received awards. She is a founding member of Center for Spatial Justice. Following a BA in Music at SOAS, and an MA on Documentary at Gold-smiths, she holds a prac-tice-based PhD from Visual Cultures, Goldsmiths. She is a faculty member at Media and Visual Arts Department at Koç University, a Research Fellow at Visual Cultures, Goldsmiths and a Teaching Fellow at the Institute of Advanced Studies, CEU, Budapest.

Located in the Northeast Turkey, the province of Kars is

Nejla Demirci was born in Ağrı, Turkey. She graduated from the department of Sociology at Eskişehir Anadolu Universi-ty. In 2012 she completed her first award winning documen-tary film “Gündöndü” (Sun-flower) about an ecological subject.
Ebru’s life suddenly changes when she finds out that she
got breast cancer. While trying to cope with the trauma and
wavering between tendencies to defy, to look for a remedy,
or to give up, she starts to meet other people who had the
same disease. Inspired by all these people with different
stories, Ebru will be, from now on, in solidarity with them.
While seasons change, their friendship and solidarity will
turn into a dance.

“From cooperative work to seasonal employment”, the
struggle of a village against capitalism…A story in the village
of Çiçekpınar in Düzce Province. The documentary aim
to show the change of agricultural labour from 1930s to
2000s, transformation of social structure of the village, how
later “boss” sons of former worker fathers approach to their
seasonal workers now. How Çiçekpınar villagers transit from
a self-sufficient, solidarist, communal social form of pre-
hazelnut period to a social form of post-hazelnut period in
which each person is responsible for their own works and
hierarchically organized.

This music film is an impressionistic documentary of a
musician-run space in the East Village called Nublu. Nublu
is a place where artists with diverging musical styles
experiment and develop their own sounds, carrying the
tradition of the older NYC nightspots (Slugs, Five Spot etc.)
& Loft Jazz scene.

He now works in Paris for a post production company called Film Factory. He made three short films. Nublu is his first feature film.

The documentary film is about the non-Muslims minorities
whose roots go back to the Ottoman period and even earlier.
In this film, the memories of the past, testimonies of today,
and a common, sounder future plans of the minorities who
are Turkish citizens and still live in Turkey are told by their

He made his first pilot film in 1967. He worked in Ankara Bir-lik Sahnesi (a theatre) in 1969 and became the one of the founders of “The Young Cin-ema Movement”. In following years he continued producing documentaries as a director.
From 1979 to 1993 he worked in SIPA Press News Agency as photo editor and director. He also acted as an expert jour-nalist and adviser for East-ern Europe, Soviet Union and Middle East for the agency. In charge for Specific Projects, he conceived numerous exhi-bitions and publishing projects of SIPA Press.

The life of the world known famous writer Yaşar Kemal
is shown on the screen by the help of expressions of his
friends who have witnessed his life. The turning point of
the legendary author’s life is exhibited in an epic style. The
archival footages from unpublished archives, recordings of
hundreds of hours and thousands of pages documents are
used for this film. The Legend Of Yaşar Kemal depicts his life
and death by giving his attitude towards the struggles and
his literature placed in that.
