INT. HALLWAY – DAY

We're standing in a dark-blue hallway. It's somewhat lighted

by tiny light-bulbs. It's stretches further down then we can

see. Behind us, we can hear footsteps, coming closer by the

second.

We turn around. A young, beautiful humanoid woman named YIN

is running towards. She has a Chinese look and completely

black eyes and she's carrying a tiny red ball.

She passes us and continues down the hallway.

INT. LAB – DAY

It's a really cool, high-tech lab. With equipment far more

advanced then anything on Earth. Several screen are placed

everywhere in the room and there's a giant screen hanging on

the wall.

The screen is showing what looks like map. Several black dots

and blue lines everywhere.

Standing in front of the giant screen is an older humanoid

woman named LEERA. She's got pale skin and short hair.

Sitting behind a desk in a wheelchair is an much older man,

VENDELINI. He's got thick eye brows.

Behind him is a young attractive girl named Katarra. She's

got the same pale skin as Leera, but has a long brunette

hair.

LEERAAre you there, Yin?

YIN (V.O)

Almost.

LEERA

Hurry. Azili?

INT. ENGINE ROOM – DAY

A young man, about the same age as Yin is working on a huge

engine with pumps which are in constant motion. He's got the

same black eyes as her too.

AZILI

I'm already done. The engine

are ready.

INT. LAB – DAY

Vendelini rolls up next to Leera. They both stare at the

screen at one particular black dot moving.

LEERA

Good work, Azili. Head back to

the lab.

She turns to Vendelini.



LEERA

Professor?

VENDELINI

If you wait until it reaches

the third mark, you won't need

to use as much power.

LEERA

(nods)

Alright.

(beat)

Yin?

INT. CONTROL ROOM – DAY

Yin's in a small room with one giant control console. She

plugs the red ball into the console and all the lights starts

blinking.

YIN

It's ready.

Everyone's patiently waiting for the black dot to move over a

blue line.

LEERA

Wait for it.

The black dot slowly travels over the blue line.

LEERA

Punch it! Activate the source.

INT. CONTROl ROOM – DAY

Yin presses a button on the red ball. All the light stop

blinking.

INT. LAB – DAY

Everyone's nervous. There's an eery silence in the room.

They've even stopped breathing.

Azili enters, but no one turns. He stops at the door and

stares at black dot.

But it's still moving.

LEERA

Why isn't it –-

VENDEINI

–- Wait for it.

The black dot slows down and stops. Everyone sighs of relief.

Leera and Katarra are smiling and Katarra is so happy she

claps her hands.

LEERAWe did it... We did it.

But then, we can hear Yin scream and cough.



YIN (V.O)

Something's happening! There's

smoke everywhere!

VENDELINI

Get out there! That smoke is

toxic!

LEERA

Yin? Are you alright? Yin? Yin?

Silence.

YIN (V.O)

I'm fine. I'm out of the room.

I'm alright.

Leera smiles again. She did it. She actually did it. She rubs

her eyes and takes a moment for herself.

KATARRA

Leera. Look.

Katarra is pointing at the screen. The black dot has started

moving again. But now, it's moving faster, much faster.

LEERA

What's happening?

Azili's already has his screen. He stares at it, shocked.

AZILI

I don't know. But it's moving

ten times faster.

VENDELINI

I told you this wouldn't work!

We're all dead, Leera! We're all

dead because of you!

Leera stares, soul-crushed, as the black dot moves forward.

CUT TO CREDITS:

CUT TO:

INT. THE TARDIS – DAY/NIGHT

The TARDIS doors slam open and THE DOCTOR, all dusty and

messed up from his last adventure enters. He walks straight

up to the console, takes of his suede jacket and dusts it

off.

LILLY, a beautiful, dark-haired young woman enters right

after with a puzzled face. She looks around.

THE DOCTOR

Did I get a bruise?

LILLY

What? No, no. You look fine.

THE DOCTOR

Really?



He look at himself in a tiny reflection on the console.

THE DOCTOR

It stings a little bit right

here.

He pokes his forehead.

THE DOCTOR

Ow.

LILLY

Why is shaped like a Police Box?

THE DOCTOR

Oh that. It's a camouflage thing.

Well, it used to be. The TARDIS

has a Chameleon Circuit, it

automatically blends the ship

with whatever era its in. But

it burned out and got stuck

like this. Now it's justdecoration.

He pokes his forehead again.

THE DOCTOR

Ouch! That really hurt!

LILLY

But won't people notice a Police

Box?

THE DOCTOR

Nah, people are daft. And theReception filter shifts your

focus away.

LILLY

Oh, OK.

THE DOCTOR

Why did that viking hit me so

hard? I had to crush his car.

I had to.

LILLY

But, isn't that a bit redundant?

THE DOCTOR

What is?

LILLY

The Chameleon thing and the

Reception thing? Don't they

do the same... Thing?

THE DOCTOR

Huh... Well, you see.

(beat)

It's because...(beat)

You know what, I really don't

have a good answer for that.



The Doctor puts on his suede jacket again.

THE DOCTOR

So, Lilly Conway. Where do you

wanna go on your first real

trip? Forwards in time, perhaps?

Backwards? An far and distant

alien planet?

LILLY

You're the expert. You choose.

The Doctor smiles.

THE DOCTOR

Alright. How about another world?

I've always wanted to see Regrohoria.

It's planet completely made of

out foam. Fancy that? You can

walk two feet without sinking...

Well, two feet.

LILLY

Sure. Lead the way.

The Doctor pulls a lever.

The TARDIS starting spinning out of control. The two hold on

the console as the TARDIS flips upside down.

LILLY

Doctor, is this how you travel?!

THE DOCTOR

Not usually!

The Doctor pulls himself closer to the console and presses a

button. The TARDIS stops spinning and the two fall flat on

the ground.

The Doctor quickly on his feet and looks at the screen.

THE DOCTOR

What was that?!

He seems fine, but Lilly can barely get on her feet. She

stumbles around, very dizzy.

THE DOCTOR

Are you alright?

LILLY

I'll be alright once I can figure

out which one of you three are

real.

The Doctor stares baffled at the screen.

LILLY

What happened? Are we there?

Did we move?

THE DOCTOR

We moved, we definitely moved.



He reads of the screen.

THE DOCTOR

No known star-systems, no planets,

no orbital cubes, no nothing.

LILLY

Orbital cubes?

THE DOCTOR

Its for travelers who are

astray in the universe.

LILLY

People get lost in the universe?

THE DOCTOR

Oh, all the time. And boy, could

we use them now. I have no

idea where we are.

The Doctor runs over to the TARDIS doors, opens them andlooks out. He's simply amazed at what he sees.

THE DOCTOR

Wow! Look at that. Come and look

at all this!

Lilly walks over, but she has not idea what she's looking at.

LILLY

What are they?

THE DOCTOR

Look at them, Their inclinationtheir axial tilt... Their clouds.

INT. SPACE – NIGHT

They are looking at several enormous planets that are shaped

like pyramids.

They are appear dead rock, but one has oceans and lands and

clouds.

Some of the pyramid planet have the edge up, like how a

regular pyramid would look, while some have the edge down.

THE DOCTOR (V.O)

They're planets.

INT. THE TARDIS – DAY/NIGHT

Back inside the TARDIS. Lilly is still very confused.

LILLY

Planets?

THE DOCTOR

Everything about them say that.

LILLY

Except maybe the shape?



THE DOCTOR

I noticed that. Still. Planets.

Though I haven't actually seen

planets like that before.

Something is blinking on the console. The Doctor walks back

to check it.

LILLY

Well, the universe is massive.

There has to lots of things you

haven't seen.

The Doctor just shots her a dead look.

LILLY

Oh come on. You except me to

but that? You haven't have been

everywhere in the universe.

THE DOCTOR

Maybe not everywhere. But I'veseen my fair share.

He looks at the screen.

THE DOCTOR

There's life on one of the

planets. And something enormously

powerful.

(beat)

And that something is pulling

us down. With a tractor beam.

(beat)

I hate tractor beams.

INT. MUSEUM – DAY

The TARDIS materializes, on its side, in a rather small

museum.

It's filled with different artifacts; sculptures, ancient

clothing and tools and its filled with all kinds of different

painting.

The TARDIS door gets kicked open and the Doctor crawls out.

THE DOCTORThat was brutal!

He seems very dizzy and swings back and forward.

THE DOCTOR

Damn tractor beams.

He looses his balance and falls.

Lilly climbs out with ease. She doesn't seem dizzy at all.

She takes an odd look at the TARDIS.

LILLYAlright, that thing lying on its

side doesn't make any sense at

all, cause on the inside –-





LILLY

Doctor?

THE DOCTOR

There's something in the air.

LILLY

What?

He wets his fingers and sticks it up.

THE DOCTOR

Something.

(beat)

Everything seems to be flowing

the wrong way.

LILLY

What's that suppose to mean?

THE DOCTOR

I really don't know. But thisplace is giving me the hebejebes.

Just then, there's a footstep echoing through out the museum.

Then another and another.

Coming closer and closer, faster and faster.

The two seem scared and look everywhere frantically, except

behind them. Where Katarra is standing.

KATARRA

Hello.

The two jump and scream.

THE DOCTOR & LILLY

Ahhh!

KATARRA

I'm sorry, did I scare you?

THE DOCTOR

Little bit.

KATARRA

What are you doing here? Theupper floors are restricted

for personal only.

THE DOCTOR

We're sort of lost. I'm the

Doctor by the way. And this

is Lilly.

Lilly is a bit afraid of seeing a proper alien for the first

time and she does a curtsey.

LILLY

Hello.

THE DOCTOR

Don't curtsey.



KATARRA

You shouldn't be here.

THE DOCTOR

Thing is, we don't exactly know

where here is.

KATARRA

Oh come on. Where are have you

been lately?

THE DOCTOR

Vegetative state?

KATARA

And her?

THE DOCTOR

The same. We shared a hospital

room.

KATARRAHm alright, but you should really

return downstairs now.

THE DOCTOR

Could you tell us which city

this is? I'm a little dizzy from

the vegetative state.

KATARRA

Yellow Lagoon obviously.

THE DOCTOR

Yes, obviously... And, whatplanet?

Katarra takes a second and just looks at the Doctor.

KATARRA

You weren't in a vegetative

state, were you?

THE DOCTOR

Um, not... Recently, no.

KATARRA

Where are you from?

THE DOCTOR

See that thing over there? That's

my ship. That's my spaceship.

Katarra is suddenly afraid.

KATARRA

You mean, you came from the sky?

THE DOCTOR

Afraid so.

She takes a step backwards with wide eyes, just staring at

the Doctor and Lilly.



THE DOCTOR

No, no. We're not here to hurt

you.

KATARRA

Then why are you here?

THE DOCTOR

Actually, we were hoping you

could tell us. We don't even

know where we are.

KATARRA

Well then. I'd like to welcome

you to the city Yellow Lagoon

and the Seraglio Riparian planet.

THE DOCTOR

The what now?

KATARRA

I can take you to Leera Ohura'steam. They could probably help.

(beat)

My name is Katarra. I'm their

personal assistant.

THE DOCTOR

Alright. Lead the way, Katarra.

The Doctor points at one direction, but Katarra walks the

other way. The Doctor and Lilly follow.


Yin is walking through another long hallway. The racket of

glass smashing and someone screaming echos softly through out

the hallway.

She follows it and walks into an office.

INT. LEERA'S OFFICE – DAY

As Yin enters into a small regular office. It looks a bit

like the lab. Leera is tossing a vase into the wall.

Leera's very angry and upset. She's been crying. She slaps

herself on the face.

LEERA

Dammit! Dammit!

YIN

Leera, what are you doing?

Leera's a bit startled, but she doesn't try to hide what's

she's been doing.

LEERA

Smashing stuff. We just tried

the one thing I thought hadat least some chance of saving

us, but it didn't work. I killed

everyone.



YIN

You shouldn't listen to the

professor.

LEERA

Shouldn't I? He was right? He's

always right. I can't do this.

I shouldn't have accepted this

responsibility.

There's a smashed photo of a cute little girl on the floor.

Yin picks it up and dusts of the glass.

LEERA

Oh no. Did I break that too?

YIN

Yeah, but the picture is fine.

How old is she now?

LEERA

Four.

YIN

That's a fun age. Have you called

her yet?

LEERA

No. I was gonna break this screen

first.

They laugh.

YIN

Call her. There's still hope. Wehaven't tried everything. I was

just about to look at that energy

peak from last night. Maybe we can

refuel the canon somehow.

Leera wipes her eyes.

LEERA

Don't tell your boyfriend about

this.

YIN

I won't.

Leera picks up what looks like a phone and Yin sits down in

front of the screen.

YIN

One peak. It lasted less then a

second. If it hadn't been for

all the new systems, we wouldn't

have noticed it.

Yin reads something else.

YINWhat's this? Something is

draining the source of massive

amounts of energy.



LEERA

Let me see that.

Yin turns the screen to her.

YIN

It's coming from the museum.

LEERA

We better show this to the

professor.


The Doctor, Lilly and Katarra are walking through another

long hallway.

The Doctor stops. He gets a sniff of something and looks

around.

KATARRA

Sir?

He walks away from the two.

KATARRA

It's this way.

LILLY

Doctor?

The two follow him.

INT. OVAL WHITE ROOM – DAY

The Doctor enter a huge oval white room, stretching up as he

can see. The two follow closely after him.

Far over their heads are hundreds, if not thousands of

mirrors floating around.

Each open is showing people working, talking, laughing,

screaming, fighting.

Both the Doctor and Lilly are amazed at what they see.

THE DOCTOR

I knew it. Palican Mirrors. Athing of beauty really, even

though they are weapons.

LILLY

How can a mirror be a weapon?

THE DOCTOR

Palican Mirrors show the future.

Sometimes seconds or minutes.

Sometimes weeks or months.

Sometimes billions of years.

(beat)

You can use it to know when yourenemies will strike. Or when you

should strike your enemies.



LILLY

Imagine having them at home. You

could see everything. Sneak on

people and their lives. You

could know everything and use it

against them.

The Doctor is a bit concerned over that.

THE DOCTOR

Lilly. They are very unpredictable.

That's why people stopped using

them.

He realizes something.

THE DOCTOR

Well, that. And they use a heap

of energy. They would only use

them when they absolutely had to.

Like in war.

(beat)

There's something about this planet.I can't quite put my finger on it.

So much war. For what?

KATARRA

If you'd like to know, you should

talk to the professor. But I doubt

he'd like to talk to you now.

THE DOCTOR

Why? I'm friendly guy.

KATARRA

Because of what's coming.

LILLY

Doctor. Look.

Over the Doctor's head are several mirrors drifting. They

surround him, showing all kinds of normal things happening.

But then they turn into regular mirrors, reflecting on each

other and showing the Doctor a thousand times over.

KATARRA

Doctor?

The Doctor is a bit mesmerized by himself.

KATARRA

Doctor?

THE DOCTOR

Yes?

KATARRA

It's this way.

THE DOCTOR

Oh yes, yes. Once again, lead theway.

They walk away.



But behind them, one mirror sink down to the ground. It's

showing smoke, getting thicker and thicker. And the glass on

the mirror crack a little bit.

INT. LAB – DAY

Vendelini is at his desk, working. He seems to be in usual

grumpy self and when his pen breaks, it looks like he will

explode.

Azili enters.

AZILI

Professor?

VENDELINI

Yes. What is it?

AZILI

I was going through the readings

from out last attempt.

Vendelini chuckles.

VENDELINI

Attempt. Son, be straight with

yourself. Call it for what it

really was. A failure! A complete

and utter failure.

AZILI

Never the less. It seems that

when we tried using the canon, half

of the power diverted back to

planet, probably because of the

magnetic force on the surface.(beat)

We supercharged an already powerful

planet. That's why is going so

fast.

VENDELINI

What's your point? It's not like

we know how to reverse. We couldn't

barely the canon to work. We

couldn't get the canon to work.

AZILI

Well sir –-

Azili takes a moment. He mentally prepares himself.

AZILI

We should have picked up on this,

or rather... You should have picked

up on this.

VENDELINI

What are you saying?

AZILI

You're our leading expert on thesource. You of all people should

have seen this.





AZILI

I don't think so.

VENDELINI

It is!

AZILI

No, sir. It isn't.

Vendelini rolls his wheelchair towards Azili.

VENDELINI

Listen to me, you little brat –-

Azili puts his foot on the wheelchair and stops him.

AZILI

No, you listen to me. I think

you're so jealous that they

put Leera in charge that you're

not thinking right. I think –-

LEERA (O.C)

Hey fellas!

Leera and Yin are at the door. Yin is holding some papers.

LEERA

Will you calm down, please? Yin

found something. Yin?

YIN

It's the source. Something is

draining it. Fast.

VENDELINI

What? Give me that!

Vendelini and Azili grabs the papers and reads it.

YIN

It's coming from the museum.

VENDELINI

This can't be right. It just

can't. We've got the best

technology on the planet and

we can barely get it to work.So what is it?

KATARRA (O.C)

Leera.

LEERA

Now now! How about the generators?

We've installed buffers. Could

it be them?

AZILI

No, not on on this magnitude.

And besides, the generatorsaren't anywhere close to the

museum.



Azili thinks.

AZILI

It could be the canon. The museum

is right under it. Maybe it's

leaking?

VENDELINI

No, the canon doesn't store any

power. And it's been offline

for hours now.

KATARRA (O.C)

Leera.

LEERA

I said not now. Then what is it?

Come on people, think!

KATARRA

Leera. I think these two could

help.

At another entryway is the Doctor, Lilly and Katarra. The

Doctor smiles and waves.

THE DOCTOR

Hello.

LEERA

We've already made it perfectly

clear, we don't need anymore

help. Take them downstairs,

Katarra.

LEERA

They're not from the city. They're

from the sky.

Everyone stops. They gaze at the Doctor and Lilly.

THE DOCTOR

Hello.

Everyone takes a step backwards. Except for Leera.

THE DOCTOR

No, no, We're not here to hurtyou. Honest.

LEERA

Then why? Are you here to gloat?

All these years you've come here

and never once helped us. Not

helped us to escape, not helped

us control the source. And I

think I know why. You're waiting

for us all to die so you can

take the source. So why are you

here now?

THE DOCTOR

Actually, no. I've never been to

this planet before. Have you, Lilly?



LILLY

No.

THE DOCTOR

I think it's this source you're

all talking about.

(beat)

You see, my ship has a few

automatic systems. Automatic

windshield wipers, automatic

blinkers, though the left one

is always on and I can't for

the life of my figure out how

to turn it off, but! It also

also has automatic refueling.

It must have sense it was

running low and brought us here.

(beat)

That source of yours must be

really special. Breaking through

the Time Vortex for my ship to

sense it is just really, really,really powerful.

Everyone is stunned.

LEERA

You!

THE DOCTOR

Who me?

She grabs his arm and and drags him over the to the big

screen.

TLEERA

Help me with this.

THE DOCTOR

Alright, what am I looking at?

LEERA

Our solar-system. This is our planet,

it's filled with life. This is

Lilt Plethora. It's a dead rock.

The Doctor is still confused.

THE DOCTOR

Okay...

LEERA

Our planet is made out of Amrethium

and that planet out of Saramtesine.

THE DOCTOR

I don't recognize this minerals.

AZILI

Leera. We don't have time for this.

LEERA

Wait. Just wait a second. Yin,

could you had me your rock?



Yin picks up a rock from her desk while Leera picks up

another rock from her.

LEERA

This is Amrethium.

Yin hands her the rock.

LEERA

Thank you. And this is Saramatesine.

She extends her arms and drops the rocks. They act like

powerful magnet and pull each other together.

LILLY

Wow.

THE DOCTOR

Yeah, my thought exactly.

LEERA

Because of that and because ofthe movement of the planets, we're

facing extinction.

THE DOCTOR

The movement of what?

The Doctor looks at the big screen. A flash of ideas is

gushing though his head. And then it all starts to make

sense.

THE DOCTOR

Double wow.

He is simply astounded.

THE DOCTOR

I thought there were something

weird about this planet from

the get-go, but this? This

is impossible!

LILLY

Doctor?

THE DOCTOR

These two planets are, for somereason orbiting in different

direction around the sun. And

they're made of minerals which

act like magnets. So each time

they pass each other, the magnetic

force pulls them just a little

bit closer. And now, they've

pulled each other so close,

they're about to collide.

(beat)

All of this must have happen

over thousand, if not millions

of years.

YIN

Wow, you're quick!



THE DOCTOR

Ah-thank-you.

VENDELINI

But not entirely correct. Because

of the planets shape, they won't

collide, they aline with each

other perfectly and they will

stop spinning. One side will

burn and one will freeze. And

all life will die.

The Doctor looks at the screen again. Something is puzzling

him. Something he can't quite put his finger on.

THE DOCTOR

All that magnetic force, getting

stronger and stronger each year.

It would turn the atmosphere

upside down. It would impossible

to survive. So, how are you?

Leera smiles.

LEERA

Azili, would you mind showing

them the city?

AZILI

I'm busy.

YIN

I'll show them.

They start walking.

YIN

I'm Yin, by the way.

THE DOCTOR

The Doctor. And this is Lilly.

LILLY

Hello.

They walk out of the lab.


It's yet again a long hallway. Lilly spots something.

LILLY

The W.H.O Mobile!

THE DOCTOR

The what mobile?

LILLY

(pointing)

No, the W.H.O mobile.

In front of them is a small car, perfect for driving through

the hallways. On its side is a sign which reads: W.H.O

Mobile.



YIN

Yes, it's our Warfare-Hallway-Orbital

Mobile.

THE DOCTOR

Riiight.

They get in and drive off.

INT. LAB – DAY

Azili is staring, rather angry, at Leera. Vendelini start

coughing.

LEERA

Are you OK?

VENDELINI

I'm fine! I just need some water.

(to Katarra)

Get me some.

Katarra gives him a cold look, but walks away to get it.

AZILI

Why are you wasting time with

them?

LEERA

Their ship. It's doing something

with the source. We need to

find how and why.

VENDELINI

Ask him. He seems like a prettyintelligent person.

LEERA

And what if he says no? We don't

know how it works. All that

energy. We could very possibly

damage or destroy his ship.

Then he'll be stranded. With

us.

VENDELINI

Then he'll say no. We need to

find another solution anyways.That canon won't work.

LEERA

There isn't any time! That planet

is coming right at us and our

source is the only thing powerful

enough to at least made a dent

of it. And now, we finally have

something to control it with.

VENDELINI

But it's wrong.

LEERA

It's two people against everyone

on this planet. Azili.



Leera looks at Azili.

LEERA

Grab you gear.

(to Vendelini)

He was right about you. Maybe

it's not because of me, but

you're not thinking right. And

I don't need you if you can't.

Leera walks away. Azili is packing up a few tings. Vendelini

seems crushed. He turned to Azili.

VENDELINI

Azili...

But he just gives Vendelini a dead stare and then follow

Leera.

INT. KITCHEN – DAY

Katarra is in what at least looks like a kitchen. It's verydifferent from what you'd normally except, but it has least

plumbing.

Katarra fills a glass of water.

Over her head, close the ceiling is smoke. Thick smoke. It

hangs down close to her like snake from a tree.

There are a few sparks in the smoke and it gets Katarra's

attention.

She turns around and the smoke quickly pours in through her

eyes.


Another hallway. There's a door with a sign which reads:

KITCHEN.

We can hear Katarra scream and it echoes through out the

hallway.

INT. ANOTHER HALLWAY – DAY

The W.H.O Mobile comes to a stop at a dead-end. Everyone gets

out. Yin walks over to a door and flips a witch. The dooropens and they walk in.

EXT. BALCONY – DAY

The three steps out on a wide balcony. From it, you can see

an entire modern city which lies within a cave. But over

everyone's head, connected the two side of the cave is an

dense energy shield.

The Doctor and Lilly are blown away of what they see.

LILLY

Holy cow!

THE DOCTOR

This is, this is just extraordinary.





LILLY

No listen. You can all die. How

can that be less important?

YIN

People have a hard time changing.

They're comfortable with what

they have.

LILLY

But –-

THE DOCTOR

–- Lilly. You can't force people

to change. They need to do that

on their own.

LILLY

But...

Lilly feels very sadden.

YIN

I know it doesn't seem fair,

but –-

THE DOCTOR

–- It never is.

They all look out from the balcony. As they quite down, you

can hear the life in the city.

THE DOCTOR

It is beautiful. It really is.

INT. MUSEUM – DAY

Leera and Azili walk up the TARDIS. It's still lying on its

side.

Leera is very unimpressed. Neither does Azili.

LEERA

This is it?

Azili checks a device.

AZILIYup. That is it.

LEERA

It looks kinda funky. You think

All the TARDIS lights starts blinking. The TARDIS lifts

itself up and lands.

Leera and Azili stare at it, now very impressed.

LEERA

Get... Get me the drill.

Azili walks over to a door and picks up a drill. He walks

back to Leera and hands her the drill.



LEERA

I think I need the laser drill

too.

Leera starts drilling as Azili walks back to the door. He

gets down on his knees and rummages through his bag.

The door opens with a snap, scaring Azili a little bit. But

he gets a little huffy when he spots who is it.

AZILI

Oh, it's you. Don't do that

again. Help me with this.

It's Katarra. Looking normal. Azili looks away for a second,

and when he looks back, her eyes are glowing white.

She quickly grabs his face and holds him down.

KATARRA

I'm sorry.

Smoke streams out of her eyes.

KATARRA

I can't control it.

Her hand glides down over his mouth and as the smoke forces

itself through his eyes, he tries to scream.

But Katarra silences him.

KATARRA

I'm sorry.


The three are standing at the balcony, looking out over the

city. The Doctor looks up.

THE DOCTOR

Look at that.

Through the shield, you can vaguely see Lilt Plethora coming

right at them.

LILLY

I can't believe what I'm lookingat. That I don't get it. But

I suppose I should except things

like that when I'm traveling

with you, Doctor?

THE DOCTOR

I really don't know anymore. I

thought I knew everything. I

thought I at least had some

understanding of what the universe

had in store, but that? That is

downright impossible.

YIN

Why is it impossible? You're

looking at the it.



The Doctor smiles.

THE DOCTOR

I suppose you're right. But it's

still a freak of nature. This

planet, that one, even the sun.

All of this is happening because

the universe on a really rare

occasion made a mistake. Look

at it. It's all one giant blunder.

LILLY

No. Look at that!

At the edge of the city, the lights are going out, one by

one.

THE DOCTOR

What's happening?

YIN

I don't know.

The light are going out faster and faster.

YIN

We need to return to the lab.

They walk towards the door, but shuts down. The Doctor pulls

up his sonic screwdriver but it too dies.

YIN

This is bad. This is really

bad. Look at the shield.

A few seconds ago, the shield was thick and dense, but now

it's really thin.

YIN

We have backup generators, but

I don't know how long they'll

hold.

Yin is very upset.

THE DOCTOR

Yin. Listen to me. I can't help.I really can. But first we need

to get pass that door. How do

we do that?

YIN

We can't. The doors are massive,

we can't lift it at all and

the power... Wait!

Yin picks up a radio-com: it's also dead. But she flips it

over. On its back is a little lever. She spins it several

times, then;

YIN

Hello? Can anyone hear me?



VENDELINI (V.O)

Yes, I can hear you. What is

happening with all the lights?

YIN

We don't know. Professor, Can

you start all the emergency

generators? We need to get pass

these doors?

VENDELINI (V.O)

Wait a minute.

There's a brief pause.

VENDELINI (V.O)

No good. All the controls are

dead too. Nothing's working.

(beat)

Is the Doctor there?

YINYes. He's here.

VENDELINI (V.O)

Doctor. Leera. She wants to use

your ship for the source. She's

working on it right now.

The Doctor grabs the radio-com.

THE DOCTOR

What?!

VENDELINI (V.O)Can your ship do this? Did she

do something with your ship

to cause this? Doctor?

The Doctor doesn't have a good answer. He gives back the

radio-com to Yin and runs up the edge of balcony.

YIN

Professor. Keep in contact if

something happens.

VENDELINI (V.O)

I will.

THE DOCTOR

There has to be another way in.

Several mirrors float up in front of them, forming one giant

mirror.

The mirror shows the TARDIS. And Katarra walking up and into

it.

LILLY

Didn't you lock the door?

THE DOCTOR

I did! … At least I think I did.



The Doctor stares at the TARDIS lights starts blinking

rapidly, and then they just stop.

All the mirrors dies out and fall.

YIN

Why is everything dying? Where is

all the power going?

THE DOCTOR

The TARDIS is trying to warn me

about something. Palican Mirrors

show the future. That, whatever

that was, hasn't happened yet.

(beat)

We need to get back to the TARDIS.

We need to stop that from happening.

We need to get pass this damn door!

INT. MUSEUM – DAY

Leera is drilling on the TARDIS, blissfully unaware of what'shappening everywhere else.

Katarra walks up behind her.

LEERA

Hey, could you flash a light

right here?

Katarra's eyes starts glowing.


The Doctor slaps himself on the face.

THE DOCTOR

Think, you idiot! You under-achiever,

think! No power, no power.

Power, nower, mower, wower,

fower.

He picks up his screwdriver.

THE DOCTOR

Why did this die? My screwdriver

runs on a very specific type

of energy. If it died the sametime as the city, then...

He walks over the controls for the door and rips it apart.

THE DOCTOR

Then...

He grabs a hold of a wire and the door opens.

THE DOCTOR

Yes!

He runs off. The girls just look stunned.

THE DOCTOR (O.C)

Come on!



INTERCUTS:

INT. MUSEUM – DAY

Leera's working on the TARDIS. Katarra is creeping up on her,

closer and closer.

The TARDIS light starts blinking again.

Leera gets on her feet.

LEERA

Why is it doing that?

She turns around and sees Katarra and her glowing eyes.

Katarra quickly grabs her throat the squeezes.


The W.H.O Mobile is not working. The Doctor kicks it.

THE DOCTOROf course...

(beat)

And we're running!

CUT TO:

Leera's swing her arms, trying to hit Katarra. But Katarra

barely flinches.

LEERA

What are you doing?

KATARRAI'm sorry. I can't control it.

CUT TO:

The three are running through what seems like endless

hallways. The Doctor is angry and motivated.

He wants to get there as soon as possible.

CUT TO:

The TARDIS lights stop blinking. Instead they shine

powerfully bright.

Katarra reacts like a vampire against the light. She drops

Leera and turns to the TARDIS.

CUT TO:

The three are finally at the right hallway. They rush down,

but the Doctor is faster. Running towards the right door.

The Doctor screams with every strength in his lungs.

THE DOCTOR

Ahhh!!!

CUT TO:



Katarra looks at the TARDIS. She opens her mouth and smoke

swarms out of her mouth and surrounds the TARDIS.

CUT TO:

The Doctor gets to the right door. He rips apart the control

and grabs a wire. The door opens and they rush in.

INT. MUSEUM – DAY

The museum is quite. They look around. Yin spots Azili.

YIN

Azili!

Lilly spots Leera. She runs over to her.

LILLY

Leera.

She checks her pulse.

LILLY

She's still got a pulse.

YIN

He doesn't.

THE DOCTOR

I'm sorry.

LILLY

Leera.

Lilly carefully shakes Leera and she slowly wakes up.

Yin is heart-broken.

YIN

What happened here?

THE DOCTOR

I don't know. The TARDIS tried

to warn me, about Katarra. But

I don't –-

The TARDIS doors opens and Katarra, who seems perfectly fine,

steps out.

YIN

YOU!

Yin runs towards her, very angry.

LEERA

No, don't touch her!

The Doctor grabs a hold of Yin, who stills tries to get

Katarra.

LEERAShe's not normal. There's

something wrong with here.



Katarra's eyes start glowing.

THE DOCTOR

Wow.

YIN

What did you do? What did you

do?!

LILLY

What's wrong with her?

The Doctor lets go of Yin and slowly walks towards Katarra.

LEERA

Don't! Listen to me.

YIN

Why did she kill Azili?

LILLY

What's wrong with her?

The Doctor walks a little bit closer.

THE DOCTOR

Whatever you are, you're still

connected to the TARDIS, so..

LEERA

Just listen to me.

YIN

Answer me!

LILLY

What is happening to her?

LEERA

Doctor!

YIN

Doctor.

LILLY

Doctor...

THE DOCTORKatarra?

KATARRA

Help me.

Everyone quiets down.

There's now a small recognition in Katarra's eyes.

A little something of her.

Everyone's looking at very sad girl.

KATARRA

It hurts so much.



THE DOCTOR

Katarra. I need to know what is

it. I can't help you if you

don't tell me.

KATARRA

I don't know. I don't know what

it is.

THE DOCTOR

Tell me something. It inside

your head. There has to be

some connection. Tell me anything.

KATARRA

It has traveled for such a long

time. It has escaped into the

real world. It wants your ship.

To free them all.

THE DOCTORWhat did? Why is taking all

the energy?

That small recognition in her eyes are gone.

Katarra lifts up her arms. The TARDIS lights all die out and

massive amount smoke pours out of her body.

THE DOCTOR

Run!

They all run away.


They all run out of the hallway. The Doctor closes the door,

but the smoke escapes through the doors tiny little cracks.

They run down the hallway. The smoke is quickly filling the

hallway.

The Doctor stops and looks at all the sparks in the smoke.

LILLY

Doctor!

She grabs his arm and they continue down the hallway.

INT. ANOTHER HALLWAY – DAY

The smoke is following them, although a bit slowly. As they

pass a corner, Leera stops. She's realized something.

Then she turns around and run directly towards the smoke.

LEERA

I'm sorry!

YINLeera!

She runs right into the smoke.



YIN

Leera.

Yin wants to run after her, but can't quite get her feet

moving.

THE DOCTOR

There's nothing you can do.

Yin looks upset, but they three continue running.

INT. VENDELINI'S OFFICE – DAY

Vendelini's in his office, trying to get the controls to

function. But nothing's working.

He hears sparks and rolls out in the hallway.

At the end is thick smoke, coming right at him.

VENDELINI

Wow!

He quickly rolls back into his office and slams the door

shut.


The three pass several windows with a view over the city. Yin

spots something.

YIN

Wait.

They all stop and look out over the city. The cave is slowlybeing filled with smoke and it moving down towards the city.

The shield is really thin and it's started blinking.

YIN

It must have gotten into the

ventilation system.

THE DOCTOR

Alright. That's enough.

He turns around.

THE DOCTOR

Game-plan.

(beat)

This is two-part game plane.

First, Yin. You need to get

that smoke out of the cave.

YIN

But, I don't --

THE DOCTOR

–- Listen, it's a cave. What do

you do if there's a fire?

YIN

We don't use fire anymore.







It's filled with technology far more advanced then anything

on this planet. There's all kinds of different devices,

spacesuits, gadgets and screens.

They get up a small window and look out. Vendelini is

absolutely shocked.

YIN

How do we remove it?

VENDELINI

I don't know. We can't even get

close to it. That smoke is toxic.

One small sniff could kill

you.

YIN

What did you used to do when

there were a fire?

VENDELINI

Yeah, good thinking! See thoseholes in the cave? You open

them and the smoke gets sucked

onto the surface.

YIN

How do we turn them on?

VENDELINI

We can't. The console for the

fire-system is on the surface.

Last time we used them the

atmosphere wasn't as bad.

Yin pauses. A thousand thoughts rushes through her head.

Then;

YIN

I need to borrow a suit.

INT. GENERATOR ROOM – DAY

The Doctor is going over everything on the generator in

detail, looking for his solution. But he can't find it.

THE DOCTORGah! Oh come on. There has to

be something. Generators do not

starts on the same energy it

generates. It has got to have

some sort of an internal

battery.

(beat)

It has to be turned on somehow.

A button, a switch, a lever,

anything!

Behind Lilly is a big red button.

THE DOCTOR

But I don't see anything!



The Doctor almost starts laughing.

THE DOCTOR

Nothing! There's nothing at all!

Lilly turns and sees the button. She gives the button a press

and the generators start blinking.

The Doctor has the biggest smile in his face.

THE DOCTOR

Thank you!

INT. HIDDEN ROOM – DAY

Yin is putting on a spacesuit. Vendelini is working on a

small device.

VENDELINI

These suits are about twenty

years old. But they should still

work.

YIN

Should?

Vendelini straps on the device on the spacesuit's arm.

VENDELINI

Here. The console haven't been

used in a long time. Plug this

in and it will bypass everything

and start the fire-system.

YINWhere is the console?

VENDELINI

When you get to the surface, I'll

guide you.

YIN

Wish me good luck.

Vendelini makes a half attempt at smiling, but it doesn't

look at all natural.

VENDELINII'll be here when you get back.

Yin nods and walks out of the hidden room. She closes the

door.


Yin opens the door to the hallway. She looks out. It's

completely filled with smoke.

YIN

Here we go.

She steps out. Immediately, the smoke gets thicker and

presses on the suit. But the suit holds.



As she walks down, the smoke almost seems to be following

her.

Yin is a bit nervous, but she walks a straight line down the

hallway.

But she gets there.

YIN

Alright. I'm here.

VENDELINI (V.O)

I'll bring down the elevator.


The Doctor is working on the generators, ripping apart wires

and plugging together all sorts of systems.

THE DOCTOR

There! Now we just need to

recharge it.

LILLY

With that? There's isn't any

power left.

THE DOCTOR

With me.

LILLY

What? No! Doctor, that's too

dangerous.

THE DOCTORIf I don't, then all the people

down there will die.

(beat)

This is why I travel. To

help people. If I can't do

that, then... Well, then I'm

no good to anyone.

LILLY

Please don't.

THE DOCTOR

Listen to me. Energy runs throughmy veins. It's my life force.

I've got plenty of it.

The Doctor grabs the end of a wire.

THE DOCTOR

Lilly. In case I don't make it.

Return to the TARDIS. It will

take you home. Alright?

LILLY

Yeah.

THE DOCTOR

(smiling)

Wish me good luck.



Lilly is very nervous now. But she smiles too.

LILLY

Good luck.

The Doctor grabs a hold of another wire. There's a huge

explosion around him.

Lilly gets thrown back.

The Doctor starts glowing. The machine starts spinning again.

Lilly runs up to a window and looks out. The shield is

getting thicker and thicker.

LILLY

It's working!

The Doctor is clearly in pain. His voices changes completely.

THE DOCTOR

This hurts so much!

But the Doctor doesn't loose focus.

THE DOCTOR

Not today.

The glow around him fades away and his voice returns to

normal.

He drops the wires and stumbles out.

THE DOCTOR

Remind me to never do that again.

He faints.


A tiny elevator comes to a stop and Yin gets into it. The

elevator takes her upwards.

From the elevator. She can see the entire city. And the dense

energy shield.

She smiles.

The elevator stops.

VENDELINI (V.O)

Get ready. Opening Hatch #1.

A hatch, right over her heads opens and the elevator goes up.

The hatch closes.

VENDELINI (V.O)

Opening Hatch #2.

Another hatch over her heads open and the elevator goes up

again.

And suddenly,



EXT. SURFAE – DAY

Yin's on the surface.

It's a bleak world. Nothing but sand and rocks. There's not

life whatsoever. It's completely dead.

Yin looks around, then up.

Lilt Plethora is right over her head. We get a clear view

over Lilt Plethora now. It's pyramid planet with the edge

down.

YIN

That thing is getting awfully

big.

VENDELINI (V.O)

First things first. You need to

go west. Once you reach the

mountain, head south from there.

YIN

Alright.

She begins to walk. But she can feel the changed atmosphere

and has to fight through each step.

YIN

It's rough up here. It feels

like someone is trying to push

me down.

VENDELINI (V.O)

The atmospheric disturbancechanges everything. Not just

the air, but the gravity and

the wind. Everything is upside

down.

Yin is already out of breath. she's working up a sweat.

VENDELINI (V.O)

Can you see it?

YIN

Not yet.

She looks around.

YIN

There's no life here. Nothing

at all. Not even a tree or bush.

Everything has died out.

She reaches the mountains and heads south.

YIN

Will we ever return?

VENDELINI (V.O)Maybe. One day. Everything has

changed because of Lilt Plethora.

But if she was gone...



YIN

Maybe we'll breath fresh air

again.

There's a brief pause.

VENDELINI (V.O)

Maybe.

Yin looks up. In front of her is small white oval-shaped

house.

YIN

I'm here.

She walks in.

INT. HOUSE – DAY

It's a really small house. It's just a huge control console

and a few chairs. But everything is dead. There's dust and

sand everywhere.

YIN

Where do I plug in the device?

VENDELINI (V.O)

There should be an few parallel

ports to, eh, your left. If

I remember correctly.

YIN

There is.

VENDELINI (V.O)It's the middle one.

As soon as Yin plugs in the device, all the lights starts

blinking in symmetry.

YIN

It's working!

(beat)

Is it working?


Vendelini is sitting next to the window with a small mic inhis hands. He's looking out over the city.

All the smoke is getting sucked into the small holes.

VENDELINI

It's working. You need to head

back. You've already been on

the surface for too long. The

gravity can do some real

damage.

Vendelini pats his damaged legs.

EXT. SURFACE – DAY

Yin walks out and away from the house. She stops.



She can feel something weird bubbling in the stomach, moving

up.

Yin coughs up a tiny amount of smoke.

YIN

No, no, no! There's smoke in

my suit!

VENDELINI

Get back to the elevator! Now!

Yin runs, but she's already exhausted and the pressure

doesn't help at all.

The smoke is inside the suit and all the systems is turned

off.

Yin can barely breath. She falls down on the ground. She

tries to get up, but can't.


Vendelini is glaring the mic.

YIN (V.O)

I fell and I can't get up.

VENDELINI

Force yourself!

YIN (V.O)

I can't. It's too much.

EXT. SURFACE – DAY

Yin is lying in the dirt. She looks at glass on the helmet.

It cracks just little bit.

YIN

Azili...


Vendelini grabs the mic.

VENDELINIYin. You need to get up! Yin?

Yin? Yin?

(beat)

Yin?

But, there's not reply.


The Doctor is lying in Lilly's lap.

LILLY

(softly)Doctor? Wake up. Doctor?

She slags him right in the face and he wakes up.



THE DOCTOR

Ow! Why'd you do that for?

LILLY

Are you alright?

THE DOCTOR

I will be. Once it stops hurting.

Is my chin red?

The Doctor tries to get on his feet, but can't. He falls back

into Lilly's lap.

LILLY

Careful.

He sighs. From his position, he can look through a ceiling

window and see Lilt Plethora.

THE DOCTOR

I saw something when I passed

out. My mind connected it all.(beat)

Nothing about this world makes

any sense. Nothing I've come

across at least. But that's

because I've using the wrong

things to compare it with.

The Doctor gets on his feet. But he's still looking on Lilt

Plethora.

THE DOCTOR

I thought –-

LILLY

–- Doctor!

Smoke is gushing through the door.

LILLY

The smoke!

But the Doctor is looking at Lilt Plethora.

THE DOCTOR

I thought we were in an alternative

universe, but we're not, we'renot.

INT. LAB – DAY

Leera is standing working at her screen.

She starts coughing violently and can't stop.


Vendelini drops the mic. He's very sadden.


In a hallway with no smoke, a door to an elevator opens. And

three older men step out.
