D.Min. in Transformative Leadership The D.Min. in Transformative Leadershipoffers experienced clergy and lay practition-ers an opportunity to develop their leader-ship in concert with the historical values andtraditions of Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School, as those values and traditions set forth visions for the future. Integrative and interdisciplinary coursesprovide leaders the opportunity tostrengthen their biblical and theologicalgrounding for leadership; to reflect on theirleadership with reference to solidarity withpersons who are poor, oppressed and mar-ginalized; and to explore critical social is-sues that are the contemporary versions ofthe historical social and religious move-ments of Rochester and Western New York:evangelical revival, abolition of slavery andracism, and women’s suffrage and equality.

D.Min. in Transformative Leadership with a concentration in Prophetic PreachingIn our postmodern world, the pulpit can either be surrendered as a relic of a bygoneera or powerfully reclaimed as a locus of renewed and faithful proclamation for alife-giving future. This D.Min. concentra-tion engages the latter choice by offeringexperienced clergy and lay practitioners an opportunity to hone the art of preachingin response to the unique homiletical challenges of the early 21st century.

D.Min. in Transformative Leadership with aconcentration in Wesleyan/Methodist StudiesBuilding upon its long standing service andrelationship with the United MethodistChurch, CRCDS developed this D.Min.concentration to meet the needs of Methodistand Wesleyan clergy who desire to learnmore about Wesleyan/Methodist history, theology, and spirituality.

In addition to the core requirements inTransformative Leadership, the concentra-tion requires a minimum of three Wesleyan/Methodist Studies courses and writing a thesisin the area of Wesleyan/Methodist Studies.

Courses will be taught by leading nationalscholars in the area of Wesleyan andMethodist Studies in addition to CRCDScore faculty members.
