Pacific’s Doctor of Audiology (AuD) program, offered on the San
Francisco campus by the Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy

fast-growing field of Audiology. The program aims to produce
graduates who are highly skilled healthcare practitioners in
auditory diagnostics and rehabilitation.
The AuD program is the first of its kind in Northern California
and is one of only four accelerated programs in the nation.
The program provides rich and diverse student clinical
experiences at The San Francisco Clinic through patient visits
and community outreach events.
The pass rate for the inaugural Doctor of Audiology class of
2018 on the Praxis Exam is 100 percent. The program has been
awarded maximum possible accreditation status of 10 years by

OUTCOMES
Graduates of the Doctor of Audiology
Program at University of the Pacific will
demonstrate Humanistic Leadership
while providing evidence-based care
through integrative clinic practice. This
is done via professional and ethical
competence and communication
between all healthcare providers for
each patient.
Pacific's AuD program in the second year consists of classes three days a week and clinical experience two days a week. I enjoy this balance of theory and practice because it allows students to exercise our knowledge immediately. Our program introduces students to Pacific's Hearing and Balance Center in downtown San Francisco from the beginning of the program. We are one of the select accelerated AuD programs in the country.
