DM Alscott DM Alscott was formed in 2008 to bring together the combined experience and expertise of Dan Marine Group and

Alscott. This dynamic partnership will provide turnkey HVAC capabilities to the expanding of offshore and marine

industry in China, Far East and Globally.

Alscott Alscott's history dates back to 1956 and have completed the HVAC installations on almost all Canadian built ships

since that time. Alscott specialize in the design, supply, installation and commissioning of Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning

(HVAC) for ships, offshore and onshore oil and gas facilities and generally operates as an HVAC sub-contractor to

prime contractors such as shipyards, ship owners, oil companies and project managers. With their head office in Ottawa Ontario and factory facility in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Alscott also has

representation and strong business activity in Houston Texas. Alscott International Ltd is strategically located in Freeport Grand Bahama, less than 50 miles from the Florida

coast line and supports ship repair and overhaul from this location. Alscott Middle East Limited is located in Suhar, Oman and supports Alscott’s marine and offshore business in the

Middle East region particularly Dubai and Abu Dhabi in the UAE. Dan Marine Dan Marine Group is a young, rapidly growing company, with foundation company Dan Marine (Canada) Ltd.

navy. Apart from this, she also supplies genuine replacement parts from licensee manufacturers and

subcontractors, having most of the products completed with approval from classification such as LRS, GL, ABS,

and CCS. DM Shanghai Marine HVAC Factory had been, for the past 5 years, a reputable & successful OEM supplier to as

many as 1,000 ship sets of HVAC products to the majority of Chinese ship building yards, having systems installed

Marine Air Handling Unit

Marine Air Handling Unit Description The MAHK marine air handling unit is the important

device to deal with the temperature and humidity of the

air in the cabin.

Normal AHU parts consist of the following sections,

which can be freely combined and mounted in casings

to form complete sections: mixing air intake, filter

section, heating section, cooling section, humidifying

section, fan section, discharge section.

Features Panel and frame: corrosion protection material,

Alu-Zinc Steel or Stainless Steel optional.

The panels are 50 mm thick and consist of a

double skinned steel sheet with intermediate

mineral wool.

Fan-motor unit: double inlet centrifugal fan, with

V-belt driven motor.

The spiroduct or square duct can be connected

directly to the sections for easy installation.

The access doors are available, which can be

opened and detached easily for inspection and

servicing.

The functional sections are optional for customers,

and meet the most demanding requirements.

Cooling medium: refrigerant (R404A, R407C,

R134A, R22 etc.) or chilled water

Heating medium: steam, hot water, hot oil, or

electric heating

Humidifying medium: Steam, fresh water +

compressed air, or fresh water

50/60 Hz, 3 phase.

Marine Water-cooled Condensing Unit Description The marine condensing unit consists of compressor,

oil separator, condenser, filter, sight glass, shut-off

valve, and control panel.

Three types of unit are available including direct drive,

V-belt drive and semi-hermetic.

The unit is easily connected with air-handling unit by

refrigerant line and control wiring.

The unit is delivered completed with all internal wiring,

junction box and piping, directly ready for use, and

painted on requirements.

Features

Refrigerant: R404A, R407C, R134A, R22 etc. Compressor: open or semi-hermetic type; piston

or screw type optional. Capacity control: step or stepless. Condenser: Bitzer (Germany), shell and tube type,

with high efficiency and good corrosion protection. System valves: Danfoss (Denmark), reliable and

durable. High-class painted for marine application. Control type: classical control or PLC. 50/60 Hz, 3 phase.

Marine Water-cooled Deck Unit

Marine Water-cooled Deck Unit Description The MDUK marine deck unit is specially designed for

marine installations for air conditioning. Deck Unit type

MDUK is combined with AHU and CU (Condensing

Unit) mounting under the AHU.

All operation of unit including start/stop and adjustment

of set points can be done via the control panel and

control equipment itself. The control panel is located

on deck unit under AHU or beside the unit in AC room.

After connection to cooling water and power supply,

the unit is ready for operation.

Features Refrigerant: R404A, R407C, R134A, R22 etc.

Compressor: open or semi-hermetic type; piston

Marine Water-cooled Packaged Air Conditioner Description The water-cooled packaged air conditioner is specially

designed for marine application, such as engine

control room, workshop, switchboard room, galley etc.,

which consists of air handling unit, cooling unit, control

unit, built on a common framework.

The unit has been factory tested (including pressure

test, vacuum test, running test.), and the client can use

it after connecting power source and cooling water

system.

● Refrigerant: R404A, R407C, R134A, R22 etc.

● Compressor: Hermetic piston type.

● Condenser: Bitzer (Germany), shell and tube type,

with high efficiency and good corrosion protection.

Marine Air-cooled Packaged Air Conditioner Description The air-cooled packaged air conditioner is specially

designed for offshore application, and other locations

such as engine control room, workshop, switchboard

room, galley etc., which consists of indoor unit and

outdoor unit.

Indoor unit mainly consistes of air handling unit, and

control unit including operation panel.

Outdoor unit is mainly condensing unit, including

compressor, oil separator, air-cooled condenser,

condensing pressure regulator, receiver, filter, sight

glass, shut-off valve, liquid separator etc.

The PAC unit has been factory tested (including

pressure test, vacuum test, running test.), and the

client can use it after connecting refrigeration line, and

Marine Air-cooled Provision Refrigeration Plant Description The air-cooled provision refrigeration unit consists of

compressor, oil separator, air-cooled condenser,

receiver, filter, sight glass, shut-off valve, suction line

accumulator and control panel.

Two types of unit are available including V-belt drive

and semi-hermetic.

The unit is easily connected with air cooler by

refrigerant line and control wiring.

The twin units are delivered complete with all internal

wiring, switchboards and piping, directly ready for use,

and painted on require.

● Compressor: open or semi-hermetic piston type.

● Capacity control: step control.

● Condenser: crossed copper-fin and copper-tube

Marine Air Cooler for Cold Store Description The SHC marine air cooler is the important device to

deal with the temperature of the air in the cold rooms.

The unit is pre-installed with refrigeration components

such as shut-off valve, solenoid valve, expansion valve,

check valve, evaporating temperature regulator etc.

The standard fin pitch of air cooler is 6.3mm, and used

in area with room temperature between +15 ℃ and

-35℃.

Features ● Refrigerant: R404A, R407C, R134A, R22 etc.

● Fan Motor Assembly

All models use a new type of high efficiency low

consumption fan motor assembly, incorporating

internal thermal protection, IP55, insulation class F.

The fans have been statically and dynamically

balanced, fan motor assembly are wired to the unit’s

electrical box.

● Electric Defrost

The stainless steel electric heater element permits a

quick and efficient defrost of the coil. The heater

elements are connected to the unit’s electrical box. For

special and particularly aggravated conditions of

applications a heavy duty electric defrost for both the

coil and shroud is available. Electrical box: IP 55.

● Casing

The new designed casing is carefully constructed and

painted to blend with materials normally used in cold

rooms.

● Maintenance and Cleaning

Access to all internal parts can be achieved with one

tool; the grill, side panels and drip tray are easily

detached giving access to fan motor assemblies,

electric heater elements, and TEV. Furthermore, inside

the unit, a suction pressure gauge connection is

available to allow for the checking of suction pressure

and correct performance of the air cooler.

Marine Prefabricated Cold Store Description The marine prefabricated cold store, applying modular

structure, is widely used on marine and offshore

application.

Generally, the marine prefabricated cold store consists

of following scope:

Panels

The panels, used as side panel, ceiling, floor, partition

wall, usually consist of stainless steel, plywood,

polyurethane foam, precoated steel plate. The density

of panel is 40~50 kg/m3.

Three kind of thickness are available, 100mm, 120mm,

and 150mm. The serviced temperature is –60~80℃.

Doors

The doors consist of a double skinned stainless steel

sheet with intermediate reinforced polyurethane foam.

The doors usually have standard size with a free

opening of 700mm x 1850mm, and can also be

customized according to site position.

Door heater is built into the door for the cold store,

where room temperature is below 0℃.

Shelves

The shelves are made of stainless steel, including

stainless steel tray. The width of shelves is 600mm as

standard size.

Accessories

Drain holes, floor grids are standard scope of supply.

Lights, alarm buttons and ozone generator are optional

equipments according to client’s requirement.

Marine Axial Flow Fan Description CZ series marine or navy axial fans (hereafter called

the fan) are capable of blowing air, ocean air

containing salt vapor, and corrosive air which contains

oil vapor and a small quantity of acid steam generated

by the natural evaporation of the batteries. They are

suitable for cabin air ventilating and exchanging as

well as boiler ventilation on ocean-going vessels. They

are also applicable in other suitable occasion.

The fan is designed and manufactured according to

GB/T11864-2008 《Marine Axial Fan》 and the current

《Ship Building Norms》.

Features The casing can be opened, reverse, good

anti-corrosive, strong anti-swing, vibration-proof and

shock resistant.

Structure The fan is manufactured with a built-in casing motor

structure. The impeller is directly mounted on the

motor shaft.

The impeller is made of anti-corrosive cast aluminum

alloy while the casing is made of welded common

steel.

As designed, the casing can either be made into

integral one or an open type along the axial direction,

the impeller and the motor are fixed on the movable

half of the casing so as to bring convenience for

on-the-spot repair and the replacement of its spare

parts.

The fan can be matched with marine AC motor of

380V50Hz or 440V60Hz.

Further more, the explosion-proof axial flow fan is also

available on request.

motor. However, it can also be a constructed into a

vertical type. The impeller is made of riveted aluminum

alloy. It has been undergone both static and dynamic

calibrations.

Both the casing and the inlet are made of welded

common steel with airtight structure.

The fan can be matched with marine AC motor of

380V50Hz or 440V60Hz.

Further more, the explosion-proof centrifugal fan is

also available on request.

Duct Fan Description

High capacity and reliability:

In-line centrifugal duct fan, type CK, is a

straight-through radial fan. It is compact, with a high

capacity and very easy to install. The CK fan can cope

with high pressure and long duct runs, whilst still

operating at an acceptable sound level. The fan speed

can be controlled by voltage or frequency variation

regulators. Several fans can be connected to the same

controller providing the total nominal current of the

fans does not exceed the rating of the controller. The

CK ranges of fans are moisture resistant and are

approved for installing in humid or damp environments.

The fans are rated IP44 when installed in a duct

system. They must not be used for transporting

grinding dust, soot or similar. The casing is

manufactured from pre-galvanized steel. Automatic

thermo-contacts open if the temperature within the

motor windings becomes excessive.

Accessories:

Duct clamps, mounting brackets, back-draught

shutters, louver shutters, safety grills and speed

controllers.

Cabin Unit Description Cabin Unit is the terminal device of the air conditioning

system, which are applicable for the lodging cabins,

dining halls, offices, meeting rooms and so on in the

vessels, which can also be used as the terminal device

of the hotels, hospitals, large meeting halls, etc. Cabin

unit type CUS for Single-Pipe System, type CUR for

Re-Heat System and type CUT for Twin-Pipe System,

are available for different application. Basically, the cabin unit is made up of 3 parts:

Attenuator box

Made with Al-Zinc or antimagnetic Al thin steel

plates, laid inside with fire proof and damp proof

rock wool as the sound absorption and insulation

material

Air flow regulating device

Provided with the primary air flow limit and the

secondary air flow adjustment. The former can

balance the air flow of all cabin units, while the

secondary air flow adjustment knob is used for

the manual adjustment of the air flow

Diffuser

The diffuser of the pan type cabin unit is pressed

to form with steel. The diffuser of ball type cabin

unit is made with stainless steel and polished

outside, set with the adjustment knob to adjust

the air flow and air direction conveniently.

Single pipe and twin pipe air inlet for the cabin

unit are available

Auxiliary electric heating devices can also be

added to the above types of cabin units.

Galley Canopy

Galley Canopy Description The galley canopy type GCK, mounted above the

hearth, is used to remove large volume of air with

smoke or steam in the galley. The filters of canopy can

separate oil and gas, and the oil collected can be

drained away through drain hole on canopy.

and can be remove for washing easily.

Air Washer Description The air washer type AWK, is widely used to clean the

dust air on transporting cargoes, which usually

transport sand, cement and corn and so on. The air for

ventilation has to be purified to avoiding dust damage

to machinery installation on ship.

The air washer mainly consists of stainless steel case,

frame, atomizing nozzle group, droplet separator,

drain pan.

By spraying seawater with atomizing nozzles, the dirt

of the air will be washed out. The processed air will

pass through the rear droplet separator finally, and the

rest of droplet will be eliminated.

Features

● The panels of air washer are stainless steel with

2mm thickness.

● The atomizing nozzle is stainless steel with

corrosion free.

● The access door is available on the operation side

for service and inspection.

● The air washer is available with H x W (Height x

Width) from 600 x 600 mm to 2000 x 2000 mm at

intervals of 200 mm, and other dimension are

available on request.
