Puppet show with Niamh LawlorViking storyteller, Mary Mary delights children and their families with an old tale and invites them to respond through drawing or writing their own favourites. Mary Mary will be ‘assisted by’ Púca Puppets’ performer Niamh Lawlor who has extensive experience in interactive storytelling with children from Ballymun to Bangkok.

Yoga Storytelling with Nicola FoxeIs sitting straight in a chair always the best way to read a story? Of course not! What better way to experience a story than acting it out with yoga poses? Nicola from Yo-Yo Yoga will give children the opportunity to be a part of their favourite books, bringing the stories to life through energizing yoga poses before curling up to relax.

Illustration Workshop with Oisín McGannJoin Oisín McGann for a lively illustration workshop and hone your artistic skills! Oisín works full time as an author and illustrator and his titles included the Mad Grandad and Forbidden Files’ series. Writing Workshop with Colm KeeganColm Keegan is a performance poet and dlr writer in residence 2014/15. Author of Don’t Go There, published by Salmon Poetry in 2012, Colm has been shortlisted for numerous awards and won the All Ireland Poetry Slam in 2010. He will give 2 short writing workshops for children aged 7-10 for the Family Day.

Walkabout EntertainmentCome and join in the fun with our Clown Balloon Modeller and get your face painted. Have a chat with our larger than life walking and talking book! He’ll show you around and will have tall tales to tell. Fun for all the family!
