Bridge Park District – Minor Project Review Building D4/D5 Proposed Storefront Revisions 04/11/2019 (REVISED) Enclosed please find the materials supporting our proposed changes for the storefronts at Building D4/D5 for the North Market Tenant Improvements. The work is limited to the first floor only on the north, west, and south facades of the building. We are not proposing any changes to the structural openings. The changes are limited to the type of storefront treatment at each opening. The initial approved submittal proposed storefront and roll up doors. We are proposing to replace the roll up doors with a combination of bi-fold doors and Nanowall over a bar top. We are adding and subtracting a few canopies from the original approved design in order to accentuate the North Market main entrances, and in order to function with the bi-fold doors. The aluminum color is changed to red from clear in a few places at the main entrances as well. Finally, the two corner and primary entrances will have canopies with rooftop vegetation. These modifications observe the original design intent for the building to maintain an animated storefront and sidewalk-scape. The addition of the bar tops reduces the transparency area on this floor, but we have kept the transparency above the 65% required for the first floor of this building. See our elevations for the calculations. We’ve also included the original approved calculations for your use. The following is a description of the proposed changes at each storefront.
