• Inspectallcomponentpartstofamiliarizeyourselfwitheachcomponent. • Thetoolsrecommended(Listedarethebasic). • Beforedrillingorcuttinganycomponent,knowitsuse. • Refertotheactualsizesofboltsandnutsasyouinstall. • Beforebeginninginstallation,readeachinstructionstepcarefullyandknowthedetailinvolved. • Determinewhattypeofinstallationyoursisbeforeproceeding,suchas,attachingtosidingor stuccowall,toroofeavesorattachingtoconcrete,orbrickwall.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS:Readtheinstructionsandstudytheillustrationscarefully.Notelocationofthevariouspartsandhowtheyaremounted.Adiagramofthepatiocovershowshowthepartsoftheentirestructurefittogether.Followthestepbystepinstructionsandyourpatiocoverwillgotogetherquicklyandaccurately.

WARNING: Before attaching hanging channel to fascia board or wall,

you must determine rafter or stud spacing so that attachmentscrews will drive into each of the above members and providenecessary support for the patio cover. Spacing is usually 16”.

Masonry installation will require anchor screws purchased locally.

Patiocoverheightshouldclearoutswingingdoorsandwindowsandfinishataminimumof6’8”toundersideoffrontfascia.

A. Lay the hanging channel (Part 1)ontheslab.Onwidercoversyouwillhave2hangingchannels.Layendtoend. Place the front fascia (Part 4) next to the hanging channel (Part 1),onwidercoversyouwillhave2frontfascias. Layendtoend.Mark12”spaceswithamarker.Marktopoffrontfascia(Part 4).

NOTE: Last space will be 12-3/4” to allow for flange width on last panel. Do not cut the hanging channel.

Those marks will be used later to install the roof panels (Part 9) at the proper spacing. (Fig. 2).

B.Placehangingrail(s)(Part 1-A) in desired position onwallorfasciaboardandmarkfirstholeto bedrilledinhangingrail(s)(Part 1-A) relativetoraftersorwallstuds. (Fig. 3).

C.Drill1/4”holeonmark,1”downfromtopof hangingrail.Drilladditionalholesthelengthofthe hanging rail (Part 1-A)basedonpreviouslydeterminedrafter orwallstudspacing.Repeatabovestepsforsecondpiece

ofhangingchannelonwidercovers(Part 1-A).

D. Slide hanging channel (Part 1) into bottom of hanging rail (Part 1-A) usinga5/16”socketdriveand#12x2-1/2”screws (Part 17) fasten the hangingrail(s)tothefasciaboardorwall.Caulkthetopofthehanging rail (Part 1-A) (Fig 4).

Skip step A if you have only one (1) Fascia.

A. Splice the two pieces of fascia together. 1. Applyagenerousamountofcaulkingtotheinsideofthefasciaendstobespliced. 2. Placethespliceinthefasciasothatitscentercoincideswiththeendofthefirstfascia. 3. Placethesecondfasciaovertheotherendofthesplice. 4. Securethespliceusing3/8”socketdriveandtwelve1/4”x3/4”TekScrews(Part 18B) 5. Installtekscrews(SelfDrilling)at1”,14”,16”and29”fromtheendofthesplice(eightscrews)use(four)additional screws (Part 18B) to attach back leg of fascia to the splice. (Fig. 5)

B.AttachingTopPostConnector(Part 12B) (Formaxpostspacing,seeengineering) 1. Usingthetoppostconnectorasaguide,marktheholesintheconnectoronthebottomofthefascia(Part 4). 2.Drill1/4”diameterholesinthebottomsideofthefascia(Part 4). 3. Bolttheconnector(Part 12B) to the bottom of the fascia (Part 4)usingfour1/4”x3/4”boltsandnuts(Part 13) and washers (Part 15). 4. Generouslycaulktheinsideofthefascia(Part 4) around the protruding bolt heads.

C.Determinefasciadrainlocations. 1.Usingaholesaw,drilla1-1/2”or2”diameterholeinthebottomofthefascia,oneoneachend. 2.Fastenthefasciadrain(Part 7)tothebottomofthefasciausingthesocketdriveandtwo#8x5/8”tekscrews (Part 18A) per drain. (Fig. 7).

D. Compress and insert fascia dams (Part 6) into each end of the fascia and caulk around them generously.

E. Toallowforproperwaterdrainage,aminimumof1/2”perfootslopeisrecommended.

F. Slide bottom post bracket (Part 12C)upintopost,drilltwo3/8”diameterholesthroughbothpostandbottombracket. Usetwo3/8”x3-1/2”boltandnut(Part 14) to fasten. To determine the length of the post (Part12A),measurethedistance from the concrete slab to the bottom of the hanging channel (Part 1). Next,deduct4”forthebacklegoffascia(Part 4) and also deduct themin.1/2”perfootslopeofpanellength.Thefascia(Part 4) should belevelfromendtoend.(NOTE:Ifyourconcreteslabhasaslopeinit andisnotlevel,thepost(Part 12A)willhavetobevariouslengthsto compensatefortheunevensurface.)Nowfastenthesquareposttothe toppostconnectorpreviouslyinstalledonthefascia.Drilltwo3/8” diameterholesthroughbothpostandpostconnector.Usetwo3/8”x 3-1/2”boltandnuts(Part 14)tofasten.Raisetheassemblyintoposition. Stabilizetheassemblywithladdersandarope.(Figure 8).

Install Roof Panels

A. InstallfirstpanelasshowninFig. 9.Besuretopresspanelintofoamgasket. End of panel with prepunched hole atttaches to the front fascia (Part 4).

B.Installlastpanelinsamemanner.Besuremalesideofpanelendsareflushwith hanging channel and front fascia. (Fig. 10).

C. Movefasciaassemblysidetosidesothatfirstpanelissquaretofasciaboardorwall.

D.Attachsquarepostatground. 1. Forsurfacemountingtotopofslab:Markpostpostiononslab.Insurethatpostare plumbinbothdirections.Usingthepre-drilledholesinbottombracketasa guide,markbothholesonslab.Drill3/8”diameterholesinslaband fastenbottompostbrackettoslabwithtwo3/8”x2-3/4”anchors.

E. Removesheetmetalscrew(Part 16)fromfirstpanel(Part 9) the side with the male lock at front fascia (Part 4).

F. Installsecondpanelasshown(Fig. 11) following the directions of the arrows in numerical order.

G. You must adjust the interlocking joint between thetwopanelstoalignwiththe12”marksonthe hanging channel and the front fascia. (Fig. 12).

H. See (Fig. 11)andfastenfirstpanel(Part 9) at hanging channel (Part 1)with#10x3/8” sheet metal screws (Part 16). Fastenfirstpanelatfrontfascia thru prepunched holes into front fascia. (Fig. 9).

I. Installthirdpanel(Part 9) in same manner as second panel (Part 9). Fastensecondpanel(Part 9) in same mannerasfirstpanel.Caulkpanelends to foam rubber gasket. (Fig. 11).

J. Installpreformedflashing(Part 11)intogroveonhanging rail (Part 1-A).Positionoverfirstandsecondpanels (Part 9).Bendtabsdownsotheyfitsnugtosurfaceof roofpanel.Screwflashing(Part 11)topeaksofRoof panels (Part 9)using#10x3/8”sheetmetalscrews (Part 16). Caulk (Part 20) the top of screw heads. (Fig 13).

K.Repeatabovestepsuntillastpanelisreached.Removethelastpanel andfastenaspreviouslydescribed.

A. Secure top of pans to front fascia with fascia clips (Part 8).Placetopofclipovertopleginfasciawherepansconnect togetherandsecureusing#10x3/8”sheetmetalscrew(Part 16).

B. Attachthecornerangle(Part 10) to the front (Part 4) and side fascia (Part 3)usingthesocketdriveandfour#8x5/8”tek screws. (Part 18A) C. Fastenthecornerangle(Part 10) to the side fascia (Part 3) onlyatwalllocationwithtwo#8x5/8”tekscrews.(Part 18A)

A. Placethetopflangeofthesidefascia(Part 3)overthetopflangeofthehangingchannel(Part 1) at the wall. (Fig. 14)

B. Placethetopflangeofthesidefascia(Part 3)underthetopflangeofthefrontfascia(Part 4).

C. Usingadaptorand#10x3/8”sheetmetalscrew(Part 16),fastenthesidefascia(Part 3) to the hanging channel (Part 1) and front fascia (Part 4).Alsofastenatapprox.24”spacingtopanel.(Fig. 15).

Patio Care and MaintenanceYour patio cover has a paint finish to resist the effects of damaging weather and aging. It is recommended you clean your patio cover at least twice a year by using a soft brush and mild detergent and wash off with water.
