The 64th Annual District Convention of theNew Jersey District of Key Club International wasoverflowing with dedicated Key Clubbers allgathering together to travel the world of servicefrom one Service Year to another! From awesomesessions with the 2009-2010 NJ District Board totwo amazing dances, there was never a dull momentat the Valley Forge Convention Center for DCON!We arrived on Friday ready to begin our journeythrough the world of service. Almost 700 KeyClubbers and I had the distinct honor of meeting
our Keynote Speaker Kiwanis InternationalPresident Paul Palazzolo. It was amazing to see sucha high ranking and wise Kiwanian in person. Afterthe welcoming session we all went to caucuses tohear the candidates speeches. Each candidate wasvery creative and excited to be running for anExecutive Board position! Saturday was by far thebusiest day of the weekend. We woke up early forbreakfast and then attended the first general sessionof the day. After this quick session we headed toour workshops and learned about everything from
how to be an effective club editor to how to bellydance. After the workshops were a few free hoursin which the talent show took place. The acts wereinspired as they are every year; the amount oftalented Key Clubbers is amazing!
DCON Round-Up!By: Chris Godshall, LTG Division 6
Also on Saturday, the House ofDelegates met to vote on Executive Boardraces, amendments, and resolutions. OnSaturday evening, the contests winnerswere given their trophies and theoutstanding members of theNew Jersey District were acknowledged for
their hard work and dedication. OnSunday, there was a walk to benefitChildrens Specialized Hospital hosted byour own Brick Memorial High School. TheFarewell Session on Sunday is both sad andhappy simultaneously; sad because it is thetime when the current district board isretired, but happy because it is also thetime when the new district board isinstalled.

an amazing Convention, and the
District is planning yet another tour
to go along with it!
ICON is a one week

including Cedar Point AmusementPark in Sandusky, Ohio, Graceland,
and the Civil Rights Museum. At
ICON, the festivities begin with a
private concert by Ohio pop-rock
superstars Relient K, and continue
with appearances by such
celebrities as Clay Aiken and Josh

It will truly be a week to remember.Anyone interested in attending,
please contact me ASAP for more

money is an issue, feel free to ask
your Kiwanis Club to help you out
with the costs. They would be glad
