Mon., Wed., & Fri., 10 a.m. to NoonToday we celebrate the baptism of Jesus. After Jesus was baptized, He saw the Spirit of God
descending like a dove, and a voice was heard: “This is my beloved Son with whom I am well
pleased”. God is pleased when we are kind and help those in need. Your donations to the Saint Vincent food chest and poor box are pleasing
and appreciated. Thank you!

Dear Friends in Christ,
John the Baptist proclaimed that one more powerful than he will come later. John met Jesus at the Jordan River where Jesus asked John to baptize Him. Obviously, Jesus did not need to repent of any sins. This showed His commitment to follow the will of God the Father, and then the voice of God was heard: “This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased”. We know that Jesus is the human face of the Father, God in the flesh.Sometimes people wonder and ask questions. In today’s Gospel we know God’s plan as being His intentionality to go make disciples of all nations. His Son gives us that example and the call to follow Him. This call is to share our joy in our witness of God, and like Jesus, be committed to that mission. Choose God over everything. At times it is difficult. As sinners we may even lose our way. Our Lord invites us to renew our hearts to repent and be forgiven. Christians are not perfect, but they are forgiven. As we are forgiven, let us forgive ourselves and those who trespass against us as we continue to follow Jesus Christ.Sincerely Yours in Christ,
Fr. Matt
