Our $360
Dividend
It comes with the territory
The Entrust District covers the part of Auckland that used to be served by the old Auckland Electric Power Board. So if you’re an electricity customer on the Vector network in our area, you’re in line for a dividend!
Giving power poles the chop
Although Kenny the Kingfisher loves perching on powerlines, not everyone wants them on their street. As part of Entrust’s shareholder agreement, Vector is required to invest $10.5 million every year on undergrounding and new technologies.

Boosting Auckland’s economy
This year we’ll pay more than $120 million to the families and businesses
in our area. That’s a welcome cash injection
for the retailers and other businesses where a lot of
the money ends up.
Strong and stable ownership of Vector
As the 75.1% majority shareholder in Vector, we make sure we fulfil our responsibilities to beneficiaries by maintaining proper oversight of Vector’s operations. Vector is one of New Zealand’s biggest infrastructure companies, and operates Auckland’s electricity network, as well as owning OnGas and HRV.
Delivering to your back pocket
We started paying a dividend when we were set up in 1994. In 2003, the dividend was $155 and it’s grown steadily since then to this year’s total of $360. Whether you choose to put it away for a rainy day or treat the family, that’s a handy chunk of change!
You elect Entrust Trustees every three years — so they work for you! We’d love you to come to our annual meeting to get an update on the
past year, meet your Trustees and ask them any questions you have.
